I think that many people just don’t like to write in forums and they don’t see any reason to talk too much about these matters, which is cool though.
Like people mentioned before MGTOW is not a movement in any form, it’s just a choice of life, so I guess some people just say “K I’ll never marry, but I’ll keep it to myself and not talk about it to anyone”

    Good Topic GregB0!!

So what motivates the remaining 99% to remain members, and more importantly how do we convert them to become active members

Why Not Give the Lurkers an Incentive to Post! like for instance after a certain amount of time of not posting anything the forums would automatically start displaying various ads ” prompting them to join the fun and post a reply ” (to any topic) in order to get rid of the said ads! and mixed within those ads could be some google ads to generate some revenue! it may sound silly but if those lurkers are already there reading the various threads it could give them the small nudge needed to help them decide to start posting something. (If one keep repeating the same moves one can’t expect different results !)

    Macho…Brother!!!!

Its alright if some members are not very active, what is important is there are constant activity here where brothers can express themselves and recuperate…

A single brother saved is worth it and that included mine and a few others here…Most have recovered and are building a new life slowly then at break neck speed to make up for lost time….But I know most will be back when we have established ourselves and have time to chill and unwind…

For now, those of us past the rage are channeling this new found freedom into a new purpose to improve ourselves…There is no such thing as too late…We rock at life…It is very amazing now that we are free and only responsible for our own life…I cannot describe the freedom I feel..

Know this lurkers, the life of the older brothers here is a life of peace and fulfillment and I want a slice of that. They paved the way and all it takes is for you to listen like I did….

    If I could share a beer with you brothers, I would…Thank you…

Yeah, I mean, look at me, I’ve been here since April of last year and yet look at my star count. I just reply to and start topics on things that interest me or if someone needs picking up and no one else has done it yet or if I feel I have something to say on someone else’s topic and no one else has already said it I’ll post. Otherwise I just read topics and posts from the other menbers and then log off for a while and come right back and repeat the process all over again.

Hmm in order to find out how many lurkers you can just start a simple anonymous vote on certain topic. Can the website do this?

By the very nature of MGTOW, there is a great range opinions on the site and each Brother has their own history and experience with women resulting in varying levels of knowledge and f~~~s given for any particular subject.

Some veteran MGTOW can be quite intimidating to the new guys (myself included) when they express their views on matters they have thought about for a considerable time with significant vehemence. This can be uncomfortable to the newcomer who is learning what it means to Go Their Own Way and may not have the confidence to express their view for which they don’t feel “qualified” to provide an opinion.

The knowledge and support given by the veteran chaps is invaluable and greatly appreciated but understanding of the issues can take time to sink in and newer chaps (again, myself included) may sometimes have second thoughts about posting on certain issues.

I’ve been here for a few months and have tried to contribute where I can, but I have considered reverting to lurking on a couple of occasions, most recently this week.

OldBill is a superstar and his responses on any particular topic would be one of the first I would read.

Some may be intimidating but know that the rebuke or advice they give is for your own good…Most men, including me when I was a blue pill idiot, was so feminized by women that we take whatever someone else says against us personally…Remember it is not about you…It is about being free from the plantation and some members will give it to you straight…No sugar coating but the plain truth..

I too had my moments when some members were direct and my feelings got hurt…But when I reread their words, I found out that they too were hurting and they are doing their damned best to push me out of the hell I created myself…They who were hurting carried me as well as their problems…Let that sink in to you…
Do not be afraid to express yourself. Train yourself to be a man once again.

The lesson I got here from KM and the other senior veterans was..
“It is not a sin to be a Man”… I remember when I realized this lesson. I read it, but when it finally dawned on me what it meant I was crying and thanking the brothers here…It was the moment when I felt totally free and that it is alright to be myself…It is alright to be a man..It is alright to spend for myself…It is alright to go by myself without having to consider anyone else….

I agree, but it takes time to get to the point to where it is possible to understand the nuances between constructive and non-constructive criticism (which does occur, although not to me personally) and grandstanding (which also occurs).

I raise this only to try and explain why perhaps the contributions from new(er) members are not quite as prolific as perhaps would be expected. However, if the silent majority is really 99% perhaps some encouragement, as Travis3000 has attempted in another post, is required.

I remind everyone again that the lurkers you’re all concerned about do not exist in the numbers you wish to believe.

The vast majority of the 99% “silent” accounts are actually orphaned memberships. People signed up, looked around, decided the site wasn’t or them, and left permanently.

They aren’t lurking, they aren’t content with only reading, and they aren’t checking in every week or so. They are gone and they will never return.

The only reason those accounts still exist is because the site does not have an easy way to allow people to close their accounts.

Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.

Affirmative. It makes one realize how special the group of active members really is – like a true brotherhood.

The lack of participation is baffling. Everyday there’s another page of new members and we’re lucky if one or two of them bother introducing themselves. To have less than 1% participation seems rather odd, especially since this is one of the few places MGTOW’s can get away from the blue pill world, and interact with like minded bro’s.

Seems the vast majority of guys that make accounts sign in once to activate their account, and then either lurk or disappear permanently.

I see three (main) reasons, that I can think of.

    – The red pill is a lot about waking up from the blue pill state of delusion. Waking up, realizing, learning new ways and then move on. Per definition, a lot of what happens here is related to a transition phase, so moving on (ergo somewhere else!) makes perfect sense. Some might only need to visit here 10 times to internalize this new take on life.

    – AWALT is often proclaimed here, and lots of the stories and experiences shared are in fact quite similar in nature. If you have read about five divorse disasters and understand the volatility, reading about five MORE might not add any value. Ergo, people move on.

    – While there are many vocal and colorful members here, the tone in the threads is often slightly bitter, and some elements of debate might be missing. It is common to see “arguments” and over simplifications being sold on basis of status or seniority, rather than logical reason or virtue. In other words, newcomers questioning certain “truths” of the board might find themselves almost bullied into the “right attitude” by some of the veterans.

    That is my 2(3) cents…

I think we have a huge number of unregistered lurkers reading our experiences. I don’t like p~~~ing in the porridge, but red pill men are a minority of men.

My stupid Chrissy experiment brought one on board which I learned about through a Zoom session. Will he ever post much? I don’t know, but C-Pig planted a seed in his head.

How many men have all of us who post saved and will never know?

    AWALT is often proclaimed here,

AWALT is true. All you can do is pick which level of crazy you will accept.
