But our ships are EVER so technologically advanced”…yeah that is why one of the newest vessels had to be towed back

And they are fantastic at finding large merchant vessels to perform close quarter naval drills with!

When the balloon goes up, the Norks are going to paste Seoul with the largest concentration of artillery and rocket batteries in world history. They’re going to drop more than just pain old HE and WP too. There’s going to be lots of nasty chemical and biologics in the mix.

As that delightful fireworks display is taking place, the Norks are going to send entire armies straight at Seoul. The numbers are so overwhelming that the weapons the Norks will carrying doesn’t really matter. They could be armed with pointy sticks because 2nd ID will run out of ammunition long before the Norks run out of bodies.

The Norks won’t be trying to win the war. They’ll just be trying to kill as many people as possible before losing the war and Seoul is hanging like a big fat pinata in easy reach.

Check, the end game would be their AGAIN being bounced back out of South Korea after causing massive industrial, agricultural, infrastructure and population casualties.

I cannot wait for Trump to wipe out the corrupt regime in North Korea.

Naw. Trump should just tell China and South Korea they have a month to get their s~~~ together, come to an agreement, and deal with North Korea. And if they can’t do that in 30 days, we’ll resolve the North Korean situation ourselves with nuclear hellfire. No f~~~s given.

…And now they have 29 days 23 hours and 59 minutes.

I wonder how China would react to the US building and airbursting something equivalent to the Tsar Bomba on Pyongyang? No crossing the DMZ. Just a simple 50 megaton H-bomb unleashed on Pyongyang.

China stated during the recent Guam threat that as long as N/K strikes first they will let it slide. However, they strongly stated we are NOT to cross the DMZ or they will enter the war. This info is a few weeks old and may have changed or be irrelevant now.

One option would be a naval blockade of North Korea. Then when NK strikes, obliterate them.

All my life I've had doubts about who I am, where I belonged. Now I'm like the arrow that springs from the bow. No hesitation, no doubts. The path is clear. And what are you? Alive. Everything else is negotiable. Women have rights; men have responsibilities; MGTOW have freedom. Marriage is for chumps. Fine. We will still have to finish the job.

So, I’ll ask again. Is Otto Warmbier worth Seoul?

What about all the aid South Korea provides to the Norks? Wasn’t that supposed to be a hedge against an attack on Seoul?

The “Sunshine Policy” didn’t keep Kim Jong Il from starting their nuclear program. It most certainly will not work with the son. Remember Gambit, N/K is China’s puppet, though Rocket Man has seem to have gone at least somewhat off the script if not rogue.

Fair enough. Let’s go with sidecar’s plan.

    Otto Warmbier was a fool.

The real question is Otto Warmbier worth incincerating several thousand NK troops.

    No.

Yes, but what NK did was not right.

True but the only reason one persons life is significant is when it is layered within a strategic hierarchy of events … Arch Duke Ferdinand’s assassination in Sarajevo is an example.

In the old days of the cold war the Russians were fond of saying they knew the USA wouldn’t sacrifice New York or Boston or D.C. for Berlin…

So, I’ll ask again. Is Otto Warmbier worth Seoul?

Absolutely not Old Bill. But if they are going to do it they will and we won’t be able to do a damn thing about it.

    No.

100% correct. What Mr Warmbier did was against their laws, and it was a major insult to them. He should have known better, but the worst is he did it to get a used car and a few bucks from some church or something to that effect. Completely asinine thing to do imo. If anyone is to blame it is that church imo, otherwise he wouldn’t have tried to steal the banner.

Edited to add: I am really digging how hot this thread is atm and the attention and wise comments being made here. Well done Men.

Yes, but what NK did was not right.

Absolutely. I’ve spoken with men who served at the DMZ and have seen Americans be killed by the NORKS. It’s a f~~~ed up society.

Alright. I am with OldBill and the General now. GregBO makes a solid case as well.

All that aid didn’t move a single artillery piece or rocket battery.

A few hundred tactical nukes used against any NK troops and their artillery positions… just saying…

Can I draft you for the clean up? Just saying…

Exactly. Warmbier was willfully ignorant and paid the price. Stupidity, even in this day and age, still can carry the death penalty.

It isn’t as if Warmbier didn’t know anything about the DPRK or how the Norks behave. He couldn’t even leave the US on a US passport if his announced intention was to visit the DPRK, so he was lying from the first.

While what happened to him is unspeakable, let’s not pretend he was some babe in the woods. He lied about his intentions to visit and he did have ulterior motives for visiting. He wasn’t some unlucky tourist kidnapped off the street.

n the same vein, should we sacrifice Seoul for Otto Warmbier?

Yes. I don’t buy the whole doom and gloom about what would happen to Seoul. No the North Koreans cannot and do not have the ability to “level” it in a matter of minutes. Look at cities in the past that withstood bombardment and were not “leveled” Leningrad, showered with bombs and artillery for a year and a half.

Sorry the Norks could do some damage but nothing crippling. And we can take that artillery out in 90 minutes or less.
