    Uly & Diogenes,

Brothers, you both have good points to share.

Uly, I appreciate the fact that you can let go and try to venture out on your own. It is not an easy thing to do, especially with so much influence put on us by society.

Diogenes, I appreciate the fact that you try your best to see the beauty of religion, i.e. seeing the glass as “half full”. Sure there are certain aspects of ALL religions that raise questions, but i’m sure you already see this and pick out the genuine aspects.

What goes through our minds DOES NOT define us. Our thoughts are so volatile and impermanent. No one in this universe will ever find the ultimate “answer”, for this “answer” is an illusion itself. Trying to find the “answer” is like a dog chasing its own tail. There is no end to it. It will drive you mad.

A tranquil mind is neither happy nor sad, it is uninfluenced by external conditions.

Have you seen the “Jesus Camp” documentary?

    Yeah, great example of abuse!

Self-improvement is my religion. Sovereignty is my god.

Another aspect of religion and it tends to be Left wingers who like to use it against and only against Christians. They will say things like “Your religion says you have to love and be tolerant!”

All well and good but what they are really saying is that Christians must just sit back and let foreign cultures come in and kill their nation, not defend their own religion or themselves etc What they are really saying is “Let us destroy you”.

I also think we can be divided over many things. Religion is one of them, politics, sexuality, gender, countries, culture. You can even put people of the same culture, religion, ethnicity, gender and country in a room together and they will still argue. It’s just the way it is.

This is very much the truth. It is also why I stand by the point that religion is the corruption of faith. My words are not solely mine, but a combination of many debates on the topic between some leading scholars to local pastors on the topic. The honest truth may be figured out in this reality eventually, but not while limitations of religion and the laws that they administer to us, hindering our progress of true knowledge. Our only true enlightenment will come at the death of religion, or at least its grasp on science and research.

    corruption of faith

Nicely put, Uly. We need to practice letting go as much as possible. It takes the burden off our mind, hence we can process our thoughts with clarity, ie. minimal distortion.

A tranquil mind is neither happy nor sad, it is uninfluenced by external conditions.

The sad part is it isn’t religion that it is killing, but an entire culture. Our culture is being called wrong, because we have one. The inventions, compositions, books, movies and anything else done by a white man is being called wrong and some relabeled, just to justify it. This is an invasion of one culture on another, and religion is just the cover.

And many Atheists behave as if it were a religion anyway.

I can’t refute that! We now even have our own silly hat…

Buddhism has taught me, through my own meditation, to let go of Buddhism itself. It may seem contradictory, but it makes complete sense.

I haven’t gone this deep but Buddhist teachings do make sense to me. Everything else out there is non-sense.

If you go far from people and society in isolation there is a switch that turns on . You become human witch includes instincts . Programming of society fades .

No laws but natures . Laying looking up at the stars in all there brilliance . A mind with no pollution . True freedom with out a time clock .

Interpretation free of back ground noise .

It is much easier than you think. You do not need to be a zen master to see this. In a nutshell, it is basically not clinging onto the label of “Buddhism” nor anything you see in modern Buddhism books, written by monks. If I could sum Buddhism in one word: Observation. Nothing more, nothing less. As simple as that.

You can meditate, even when you sweep the floor with a broom or go for a walk in the park. No need to sit in one place and close your eyes. Do your best to be the recipient and less of an interpreter/critic. No need to decipher/analyse your thoughts, just watch.

A tranquil mind is neither happy nor sad, it is uninfluenced by external conditions.

Have you seen the “Jesus Camp” documentary?

That was my life from ages 10-13. Taught me all I needed to know about Jesus and the Christians. Religion is for Sheep and the Preachers are the Shepherds. They fleece the sheep for their wool “$$$” and laugh at how dumb they are for believing. How many preachers have to get exposed before people figure it out. When I was at “Jesus Camp” there were a lot of people like this.

…and I didn’t even mention all the kiddie f~~~ers involved in Religion, but I think everyone with eyes to see and ears to hear knows about that.

I love the dancing Jesus. It is funny how people become so impassioned that they forget what they even stand for, just to either prove the other guy wrong or get the last word. I enjoy the intellectual debate, and have spoken to numerous top minds around the globe. It is a privilege that I appreciate daily. The ability to talk to these people for free via the internet is very enjoyable, except that many of them still detest doing so. Some understandably do not like the added difficulty in conveying the message that they have. Either way, keep on dancing.
