I have to say that standing under the African sky miles away from electricity permanently cured me of any lingering doubts about Jaweh and his pals.

Their god was so great and loved them so much! I wonder if any one of them actually went home and thought about what I had said.

Agnosticism was invented by the Church to keep people on the fence. Its a position from ignorance not a belief system.
People claiming agnosticism are just saying, “I dont know enough so Ill keep the door open on the god idea.”

But there is proof against God, therefore Atheism is proven. There is proof against god.

Gravel Pit, I want to congratulate you on some very good thought above.

I would not actually disagree with anything you have said but I would add that in the west one’s definition of theism, god and belief are actually more rigid than they need to be. “God” does not have to mean even immortal, never mind omniscient, omnipotent, creator, judge, sentient or giving a toss about humanity. These are just where the monopoly seeking desert theologists have taken the idea -to make god essential to man’s life in all parts.

I once had a wife who was genuinely born in the iron age into a nomadic tribe and only “converted” to Christianity at 15 to get an education, while never understanding it or liking it much. Her concepts of god and spirituality were so different. At first I thought she was just incredibly shallow spiritually. It took me a long time to realise that my concepts were actually just one dimensional. Christianity really took over thought in the west and it still has a monopoly on some concepts. A god is can be what you venerate, what you fear, what you need, what you wish you could control but can’t. It can just be the spirit of some idea. It is always to an extent anthropomorphic because a man thought of it and that is a flaw but who said a god had to be perfect? or that religion had to have answers? I am not denying the truth of what you say but there is also a wider spirituality out there that will not answer any of the serious gaps in the perfect omniscient creator god fallacy but which may still have value to some people without being meaningless new age crystals and c~~~ worship.

Anyhow escatological monotheism in the judaeo Christian tradition is dead or at least dying, killed by knowledge of the universe. The ticks that feed off it just don’t know it yet.
