I’m not looking to get laughed at (I know too late) I have some psychic ability. I can feel the presence of spirits. I can’t see them, but can feel them .I’ve lived in 2 houses with spirits. The first I was 18. I could feel the presence of a Man. Not unfriendly, but there watching me. I later found out that an old guy had died in that room. The second time a few years back.I lived in a house with a demonic spirit in it. It was awful. Mr. Spirit didn’t like me ,cause I new what he did. He had stabed, and hacked woman to death and buried her in the back yard. There were signs given to me.Nothing in my entire life has scared me that bad. All I can say to people seeking out the paranormal is,be careful what you wish for.

Wtf? So the woman was buried out back the whole time? Or did the body used to be there? Did you have it confirmed? What exactly do you think a demonic entity is? A bad dead human?

Great thread, I love hearing all these stories. Here’s 2 that happened to me and I swear they are 100% true:

Over 20 years ago, when we were 19-20, me and my 2 best mates were down in the forest at the campfire like we often were in the dead of night. Nobody else was around. Yes we smoked weed and sometimes drank, but this event happened when we were pretty sobered up (and had not been drinking, just smoking) and all 3 of us had the same experience.

Walking back through the dark forest (or bush as we call it in Australia) at maybe 1a.m., a walk we had done scores of times before, suddenly a dark and frankly evil vibe came over the area. We all sensed it at the same time and stopped in our tracks. The silence and stillness became deathly. I could see nothing but the dark forest around me (I was walking first) but my two mates, both over 6 feet tall, tough and experienced brawlers (unlike me), both suddenly fearfully whispered that there was some kind of dark entity off to the side, maybe 15 feet – apparently watching.

Now I couldn’t see it but I could feel it and we were all frozen to the spot. I know, you’re thinking drugs but when you have done drugs many times and walked the same path many times and nothing happens, you know when something IS happening. The fear was palpable.

I snapped out of it and rasped “I’m f~~~ing outta here” and started walking as quickly as the dark bush path allowed, driven by adrenaline. My mates were then right behind, also keen to get away from what we all knew was there… whatever it was. We were glad to get back to our s~~~ty little car, I can tell ya.

The next day we discovered that the night before had some kind of dark significance on the Satanic calendar or something similar. We weren’t into the dark arts (beyond a general interest) but one of them looked it up and the words he used were that it had been “Satan’s Night, the darkest night of the year”. Like the Winter Solstice I guess. Either way, it was nearly 25 years ago and none of us will ever forget it. As others here have said, when something evil is there, you can actually feel it.

The second story – this really was freaky and 1000% true:

I am very vivid dreamer and remember many dreams in detail. Sometimes going to sleep for me is like embarking on an epic multi-faceted adventure!

One night, again around the age of 19-20, I had a very short and unbelievably intense nightmare (10-15 seconds maybe), the most intense I’ve ever had. I was sitting on a bed in a small room. The walls were covered in various crucifixes like you see in a horror film or something. In the dream, sitting on that bed, I knew without any doubt that all the forces of Hell were outside those walls and they were there for me. And then the walls began to melt away, and beyond I could overwhelmingly feel the all-pervading presence of the darkest evil of Hell awaiting me and starting to come in on all sides for my soul. Not a good situation generally…

It was beyond terrifying and then I actually woke up screaming, sitting bolt upright in bed, sweating, in the dead of night. Exhausted on all levels, I immediately fell back into a deep sleep. Not exaggerating, it was like in the movies when someone wakes up screaming.

The next morning I didn’t remember it happening (weird, I know), until later that day, I was driving with a few of my mates, including the 2 from the forest story above, and one of those same guys suddenly turns to me and says: “Hey Max, last night I had this most intense dream where I was being pulled down into Hell!”.

I was instantly shocked into remembering what happened to me and my jaw dropped as he proceeded to tell about his dream, oblivious to my similar experience. I could only listen in fearful awe as he told me he dreamed he was at an elaborate function at an opulent mansion, with people, music and feasting. The place had an indoor-outdoor feel he said. A small boy who he said looked just like himself when he was around 8 or 10 suddenly led him into a picturesque indoor pool area and suddenly grabbed him by the wrist with ungodly strength and pulled him into the pool, down towards the bottom where there was a dark vortex that my friend instantly knew was a portal to Hell! As he was being pulled in by his evil childhood demon self (lol), he too woke up just as he was going to Hell.

I then explained to him about my dream – on the same night – and we were both obviously mind blown. He and I were very close mates (and still are but we live hours from each other now), 2 blokes who understood and “get” each other more than most, and definitely deeply interested in existential matters. The whole thing was beyond surreal. I have never had such a dream before or since, and he could not remember such a dream before that night either. Whenever we would discuss it in the years since, we could both only shake our heads in deep contemplation – tinged with a little unease…

    Coincidence? Sure. Unnerving? F~~~in’ oath…

Thanks for reading lads. Keep them coming…

I’ve never personally experienced anything, but I believe there are things that we don’t yet understand. Probably a LOT of things. I estimate that our knowledge of reality is less than 1% complete. Think of it like DNA. They considered the 99% of our DNA that wasn’t used as “junk” DNA for the longest time. Now however we know that the so called “junk” is what really matters, but we still don’t really understand it!

What we do know is that matter doesn’t really exist. EVERYTHING is energy. If you study quantum physics, it will really blow your mind. Some scientists theorize that the world around us doesn’t even exist. That “reality” is generated by our brains. For example, the moon doesn’t really exist. It only exists because someone is observing it. In theory if no one looked at the moon, it would cease to exist. That is, until someone looked up at it again. Then it would exist again because that person’s thoughts created it again! Freaky s~~~.

I honestly don’t know if I would be able to carry on a normal lifestyle if I ever as much suspect a ‘spirit’ in my home.

The idea of something or someone present is extremely scary.

@OldSage I lived with this roommate from upstate NY who lived with what she called a ‘nice old lady’ growing up. This girl would get up in middle of night, go downstairs to drink water, see the old lady spirit standing in the kitchen and she’d drink her water and get back to sleep. Her parents and siblings saw this spirit too.

That is such a mind f~~~.

This is not meant to impugn anyone sharing their stories or to denigrate those experiences in any manner

Our brains create visual hallucinations every second of every day. The brain does so because it constantly fills in our blind spots by inventing the required missing visual information.

The blind spot, or scotoma, exists where the optic nerve exits the retina. There are no photo-receptive rods and cones in that area. The human retina is just about 1100 sq mm in size with the scotoma being about 3.5 sq mm of that. Our brains continually and in “real time” fill in that missing 3.5 sq mm and do it so well that we usually aren’t even aware of it.

We usually aren’t aware of it. Keep that in mind.

Our brains are also hardwired to pick patterns and forms out of seemingly chaotic backgrounds. We’re masters of separating the wheat from the chaff, of plucking the signal from the noise. This amazing ability comes with a downside, however.

Sometimes we perceive patterns that don’t exist. Keep that in mind.

So, we have a brain which is continually creating visual hallucinations to complete our field of vision and a brain which occasionally perceives patterns where none exist. What happens when a “hiccup” in that first ability meets the “I want to believe” errors of the second?

Among many other things, scotomas happen.

I firmly believe in the Hamlet’s admonition to his companion:
There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

Horatio had earlier seen a ghost and, while driven to tell Hamlet about the encounter, he was afraid he’d come across as a fool. Hamlet, like any true skeptic, didn’t dismiss his friend’s report. Instead he says you need to believe what’s in front of your eyes even if it’s something you never previously believed. “Trust, but verify” as it were. (Hamlet goes to see the ghost himself, find out the ghost is his murdered father, swears an oath, and the play starts to get really good!)

As a skeptic, I agree with Hamlet but I also keep in mind that my eyes and brain lie to me every second of every day.

Every man in this thread saw something, heard something, or perceived something. Of that I am mortally certain. I’m equally certain, however, that there are mundane explanations for most of what they saw, heard, or perceived.

    Not all, just most.

There are three categories of knowledge: What we know, what we know we don’t know, and what we don’t know we don’t know. The last category is infinitely larger than the first two.

While you wisely keep an open mind, be just as wise and don’t shut the door to more prosaic and less fantastic answers.

Be well, my brothers in MGTOW.

I’ve had only had this happen once and it was an unpleasant experience. I could see an ageing woman slowing stepping out of my peripheral and had a feeling of dread.

That was your demonic future ex-wife selecting a victim. Good thing you found MGTOW.

    Haha.

I can confirm that, to spot something “freeze frame” “still shots” must be taken as you scan the ever re-positioning world around you. stopping your scanning motion and breaking it up into several frozen images will positively paint an accurate picture of world in motion around you.

You’ll notice dogs do it in cars when their head is on a gyro locking in on a target, same thing but in reverse and a trimmed rhythm to record as much as possible depending on the speed of the moving world around you, like spinning your head around faster than your body to lock onto a blind landing in the super pipe and other features. I think 10 or so degrees paints a new picture over the prior picture’s blind spot, but don’t quote me, I’m not sure the exact number.

Nice that I can talk about this, as I haven’t discussed with anybody as I don’t want to get laughed at or worry my family.

A couple of years ago, I suddenly started to have these dreams in which I was dying in horrible ways. It was usually 2-3 other people killing me, one of them was always a young woman, the other a man, the third I couldn’t see well. Sometimes she was stabbing me, other times she was just biting me and ripping body parts off… no need to get into further details, you get the idea. A few times it was just another woman staring at me. I could never see their faces.

What’s weird is that during these dreams I was sleeping with my eyes open. I know this because the events were taking place in my room, and I could look around and see everything exactly as it were when I was awake. When waking up I didn’t have to open my eyes, I would just wake up gradually and the foreign entities were slowly disappearing into the background.

I lost count of how many times I dreamed about dying that year, but given that it would happen almost every night, sometimes more than once, it was most likely over 50 times.

I changed the food and the places I was eating at, in the idea that it might be some chemicals in the food. Stopped drinking tap water, switched to bottled water only. I also started sleeping with the lights on, which was difficult at first but I got used to. Eventually things got better, and now I can sleep with only a small light on.

Now the cheesy stuff. When I was a kid I went on a trip to an exotic country and bought as a souvenir a lucky charm that supposedly protects from evil. Not that I’m superstitious, but it looked nice and the design is really old, from pre-Roman times, so it made a good souvenir. I was keeping it on a bookshelf for years. When I was having these dreams, I accidentally dropped it and it shattered.

I also found out a few months later that during the same time my dreams started, someone was messing with my grandma. There were screeching sounds at the windows during the night, knocks or bangs on the doors, which several family members heard. The dogs were found in the morning with their legs tied together with barbed wire, which happened more than once and the police was notified. She also had a cat which was found one day in front of the house chopped in pieces, with the body parts placed in a circle. The police was useless, in the end what put an end to it was my angry aunt going from door to door and talking to everybody in the neighbourhood, telling them what was going on and that they are putting cameras and are in contact with the police, and whoever is doing this is about to get in a lot of trouble.

It’s still not clear who was responsible, but it is likely it was a group of young people performing rituals. My grandma is from Eastern Europe, in those countries there are a lot of religious zealots and also satanists, pagans, people into witchcraft and other weirdos.

(in continuation to my previous post)

That was an interesting coincidence, but doesn’t really prove anything. Sleep-related experiences are very unreliable. However I’m keeping an open mind, the brain can sometimes show an extraordinary ability of unconscious perception, which is not necessarily paranormal. I might have sensed that my relatives were worried or afraid of something, without them telling me anything.

In any case, I think it’s good to trust your instincts. If at any point in your life you get an unexplained sense of fear, take a good look around you and either take measures to protect yourself, or get out of there, as there might be something bad going on.

I get sleep paralysis occasionally. Not sure what causes it. But I know it happens when i wake up, fall back to sleep but don’t fully go to sleep, and my eyes stay open somewhat. I always experience a malicious entity that I have only seen once, in the form of a black figure at my bedroom door in my old flat. Then its the struggle to try and move before it approaches me.

I’ve heard it speak in a raspy, metallic voice, telling me to get up and leave the room. It was directly to the right of my bed. I get angry and tell it to f~~~ off, and it then starts repeating what it said, but adds threats. When i awoke from that particular sleep paralysis it really unnerved me. That voice was f~~~ing chilling. Inhuman.

The most horrifying sleep paralysis experience ive had is being dragged off of my bed by my ankles by something invisible while im paralysed, and dragged out of my room into the living room and taken into some portal/another dimension. I then had a false awakening in my arm chair, sat there thinking WTF???? How in the f~~~ did I get here. Then this deafening ringing sounded in my ears, and i screamed in agony believing my ears would explode. I then awoke in the camp bed in the living room, with this entity directly above me, i couldn’t see it, but i knew it was there. It was definitely male, i could hear it grunting and making low pitched angry murmurs at me, and i knew it was pinning me to the bed. I got angry and was able to free my left arm, and i punched at it over and over again saying “f~~~ you you c~~~!!!” and i heard it roaring back at me.

I’ve had some horrible f~~~ing nightmares as well. I ALWAYS dream. No wonder i feel like ive had no rest when waking up.

Great thread, I love hearing all these stories. Here’s 2 that happened to me and I swear they are 100% true:

Years ago, not sure when it was, I used to have these f~~~ing horrible recurring nightmares involving water where I’d be suspended above a huge olympic sized swimming pool ,minus the diving boards, and id see huge moving machinery and turning cogs at the bottom, and id be dropped dead centre into it. I’d scream in terror as I landed and went under, and this massive turning cog would always smack into me and everything would go black.

I also used to dream about these f~~~ed up, man made, illogical, pointless streams and rivers, with massive robotic and highly intelligent great white sharks, and hideous machinery that looked like insane torture devices. And of course i was thrown into them and i wouldn’t be able to get out and i always remember being devoured by a huge shark, going in its mouth, screaming, and i cant remember what happened after that.

Another recurring dream i had was being next to this petrol/gas station in a hot country that was on fire, and id run in a blind panic on fire myself, but feeling no pain, into this woodland opposite, and rolling on the floor to put the flames out. Id then come out the other end of the green woodland to this hill. This hill was evil as f~~~. I have no idea why, or why is knew this, but i was in a very god forsaken place. I ascended the hill though a dirt track which was surrounded by trees, and i was always to s~~~ scared to go beyond this pacific point. This was because when i looked over the side of the path, there was a river down below, with a gigantic snake, lying on a rocky floor. I knew it was satan. Now, im an atheist, so i have no idea why the f~~~ i was dreaming of this. I can never remember what happened next, but I repeated this cycle of a nightmare over and over again. That nightmare was beyond evil, the feelings i felt while being there…unbelievable. I felt threatened, this impending doom, and this awful sickness, like a malaise, sorrow, its hard to describe.

Another recurring nightmare i had, was running in the dark towards this RAF Officers Mess building, which was derelict but lights were seen inside, and I was running with several faceless dark people, we were all running from some malicious entity which we knew was coming. We would levitate onto the roof and enter the building through some entry at the top. As we ran into the building, there were many corridors with tons of rooms either side. I ran into one following one of these scary looking faceless dudes, and he would open up this wardrobe, rio up the floor board which revealed a secret opening, and he/it would start digging downwards, with this pick axe. I joined him, somehow a pick axe appearing in my hands, and we quickly smashed through the floor, and descending further and further downwards, and the further down we went, the more uncomfortable i felt, like he was leading me to somewhere f~~~ed up that i shouldnt be going. I would always ask him/it why are we doing this? Where does this lead too? I would never get an answer and then the thing would jumped into the hole. I ended up just falling in, yelling in fright as i fell, and i would land on a concrete floor in some weird underground place. And again, there was this f~~~ing man made stream which was caged off and led into a wall somewhere. I remember yelling out “what the f~~~ does this mean???”

I walked up the only corridor there, and it took me to the surface far away someplace else, and as i came out, i would always see this f~~~ off massive castle/cathedral type buildings which represented nothing but evil and misery. I have still never figured out that bulls~~~ nightmare. F~~~ you brain!!!

I’ve had some horrible f~~~ing nightmares as well. I ALWAYS dream. No wonder i feel like ive had no rest when waking up.

I know! It bothered me too that I was losing sleep and/or waking up during the night, as it was making me very tired during the day. How are we supposed to deal with that?

This medical article describes a doctor’s analysis of a patient’s problems with nightmares and night terrors: http://www.tzuchimedjnl.com/article/S1016-3190(13)00122-5/pdf It’s not a top journal, but the article is pretty well written and documented.

The points I got from that story:

    * The cause is usually psychological, anxiety or stress. Sometimes it can be a medical problem.
    * The episodes themselves increase anxiety and stress, causing you to go into a vicious circle.
    * Reducing anxiety helps.
    * Medication has uncertain effects and side effects, as the way the brain functions is not well understood.

    * Reducing anxiety helps.
    * Medication has uncertain effects and side effects, as the way the brain functions is not well understood.

    Sweet, will check that out.

I still dream about water alot. I have no idea of the significance of it, and i don’t need a p~~~ when waking up lol.

Most of my nightmares are incredibly morbid and macabre. They are also incredibly detailed and fluid. The people in them are all life like and i can have full blown conversations with them, but sometimes they don’t make much sense.

I have never seen s~~~ in my waking life that would create these unconscious monstrosities. They truly are bizarre and unforgiving.

I feel like ive been to hell, or other dimensions.

Where I live there are a high number of Ufo sightings and ghosts. I found this odd so I did a little research and exploration of the area and found:

+A high quartz content in the soil
    +Geo thermal vents
    -Which means water running underground
-Which means possible creation of electro-magnetic fields
+Near (miles) ancient native american burial grounds
    +Possible fault line
-Which means possible creations of electro-magnetic fields.
+High iron properties in the soil
+Live near lay-line (I don’t know if I believe this one entirely as the lay-line theory is controversial and the map I seen is equally controversial. I am acknowledging this only as a possibility)

=Now my neighbors have seen a ufo hovering above another neighbor’s property shooting “a solid beam of light” into the ground below. These people had issues with “house lighting up from the inside for no reason.”

=Family see ghost of woman/young girl running through house.

=I have personally seen a Victorian era age woman in my aunt’s house for a few seconds then disappear.

=Heavily haunted cemetery few miles from my house.

=I have had friends and acquaintances involved with exorcisms.

    =Etc. the stories continue.

Let me suggest that anyone interested in exploring possible explanations for these wonderfully eerie stories read The Demon Haunted World by Carl Sagan.

Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.
