I’m in coastal Georgia. The Western eye wall passed about 20 miles from me, and it was a Cat 2 storm. They say real hurricanes roar and this thing’s winds roared. There was a personal weather station that recorded 105 mph max sustained about three miles from me for about 1.5 minutes at closest approach. My friend emailed me the graph. North Carolina had really horrendous flooding. We did too in low areas. I live on top of a sand hill. Some advice I received here live during the storm helped reduce my damage so we save homes and men.

The worst part for me was dealing with the labor. This scalawag I hired to do my interior work stole from me and did really sloppy work. I fired him and took over the work myself. He told me the room was paint ready. I can assure you it was not. He stole about $300 worth of items from me plus I paid him a first installment of $500 after he gave me $200 of crappy labor. He bolted after that. I’m keeping the ladder he left here. It was probably stolen from another job.

I can’t even run my HVAC due to all the drywall dust the idiot made until I clean it all up. I’m paying my HVAC company to come out and inspect the unit outside of my service contract before the AC is needed. Cracked evaporator coils are not something you want to happen.
