This is a thread I have been wanting to make for a while. I’m from Southern California and I am thinking about moving to South Carolina. Homes out there start around $60,000 USD for a 3bed/2bath home on an acre. My 2/1 condo in Orange County is valued around $375,000 USD in the current market and it’s insane for what you get. I can never afford to, or would want to “move on up” to a home in this real estate environment. If I wanted to marry and start a family it would mean selling my place and putting all my equity down on a home to “start a family” in….. (I’d lose what I bought at 22 in the divorce because I put the equity into a “family” home). I am desiring that mortgage-less future out of state.

Anyways, I was wondering where all the dudes on here are from because I feel hypergamy will follow me across the U.S.

I always get a good laugh out of the epic comments from ‘ChauvinistPig’ and I think I remember him saying he was from North Carolina because he was repairing his roof from the storms they got out there last fall… I was definitely disappointed to learn from his stories that Carolina girls are terribly similar to California girls based on his tales on here.

I could definitely sense the hypergamy when I lived in Muswell Hill in London during college. In fact, I almost got my ass beat on the Piccadilly Line one night white-knighting for a woman who had offered her seat on the tube to a guy and he called her a whore. Luckily some British dude realized I was a foreigner out of my element and had my back so I didn’t get my ass beat when I got off at Bounds Green. The woman didn’t give a s~~~ though…

So it makes me curious, how far-reaching is the disease of hypergamy? If any of you dudes want to check in where you’re from, it would definitely be interesting to hear. Does hypergamy span the globe? My guess is a solid Yes.

Hypergamy is a biological feature, that’s why it’s present in all the world, it’s even good in the wild because it increases the chances for the offspring.
Women are women no matter the time and the place: in example you’ll hear myths about nordic women chasing men, don’t trust it, I lived in Sweden and I can testify it isn’t true. Swedish women generally tend to put out more easily because there’s less social stigma but you still have to chase them and stimulate their hypergamy: a more “traditional” Japanese or Italian woman could seem more sexually restricted when she’s in her normal environment but when, in example, they’re in vacation abroad with their girl friends then they put out just like as Swedish women.

North Sentinel has an estimated population of 39 as per 2011. They have zero contact with the outside world and are extremely hostile to anyone that should stumble on the Island. A couple of Indian fisherman who got too close to shore in 2006 were murdered by the natives.
