I still agree with OB that MGTOW is a philosophy and not a movement. That’s how it started. Whether it develops from this is not for me to say. I think over the years there will be splinter groups who see themselves as MGTOW but are perhaps more hands on among their work and communities. Great! If that’s what you want to do go for it.
One word of warning from an older guy who has tried to get my point across, even before the concept of MGTOW existed, if they are still blue pill, the response will not be good for you at home or work. You will be ridiculed, shamed and made to look like some deranged outcast. Until a man has swallowed his first red pill you are wasting your time to your own detriment. You can plant a seed and with all the info now on the internet, it is up to them to make the first move.
OB and others can be opinionated and to the point, as can we all, but I respect their brutal honesty whether I agree with them or not.
One possible explanation for us older guys who have outward opinions, is we were raised before the cultural Marxist, politically correct bulls~~~ became common place through education, media, politics. We simply told the truth how we saw it back then, in my case the 1980’s. There was no worrying about offending anyone. We just got to the truth and said what had to be said, without pandering to the weak in society, as is the case today.
The younger generation have been indoctrinated to be compliant and conform, suppressing free speech and debate and simply accepting what your told without question. I see this all the time when I’m cabbying. Older guys more upfront, younger guys more oppressed and quiet.
I have great respect for the younger guys on here who have seen through all the bulls~~~, and the attempt to strip away their masculinity. If I was your age now I’d maybe still be blue pill and a compliant little puppy. But we must concede that we all, whatever age, will have different opinions.Women are so bad, if they changed the law so I kept the house, I still wouldn't marry one. I'd rather be homeless.

I appreciate and recognize the truth in what you are sharing. I have pondered this same problem. You’re right, it is potentially dangerous to provide these truths to those who are still sleep.

And yet, some part of me feels like perhaps what has formed here, is a kind of polarizing opposite. An apathetic response to an apathetic world.
And I question if this is the correct stance. To abandon the blue pill men? On the subject of women. I have no argument or issue. They are what they are. But with so much knowledge and resources, is it right for MGTOW to not at least make itself more visible?
I do not know. You raised many great points. Binary Logic, although admittedly, was somewhat p~~~ed off, also pointed out that perhaps I just need to absorb more before I form any conclusions.

Including my own experiences. And it makes me wonder, if there is not some safe way to make MGTOW more visible. So as to help those who may be in the dark?
If this is naive of me, or I am showing my inexperience. I can accept that.

And the truth of the matter is I was once there too. All about spreading the word, and having a physical place to collectively attend… but then I realized, very shortly afterward, that things are the way they are for a reason.
You cannot force people to see the light. You can’t just walk around “unplugging” everyone. They have to find that way themselves. By actively seeking ‘followers’ you allow the trash to blow in with them. Believe it or not there are people out there that would love nothing more than to see MGTOW simply GO AWAY. And make no mistake about it, they mean to do harm. With that said, it is far easier to separate the wheat from the chaff when people come here of their own volition.

Man, this is some biblical prophecy s~~~ happening within our midst! You don’t control MGTOW, it’s a phenomenon that moves in mysterious ways unseen by the naked eye.
MGTOW is it’s own beast that feeds on the truth while s~~~ting on the lies!
No one “controls” it, we simply marvel at it’s simplicity of using truths to overturn all the lies.

But what I’ve come to know this past year is that in this place, we don’t hold somebody’s shortcomings against him.
I play a game called Mount & Blade: Warband where I have a companion ‘Lezalit’ in my party. Lezalit is a strict fellow who makes everyone else follow code and trains them rigorously, to a point my other party members hate him.
But it is only because of him I get my troops trained quickly on time so that I can fight my battles and win. Lezalit might not be likable, but I’d have a tough time without him around to help me.
Old Bill and Phoenix might not be likeable, but their voice gives us a new perspective to look at things.
MgTower is a likable person, but the new members thinks he’s a crazy old nut and would hardly heed his advice. Same goes for Stealthy. But that doesn’t happen with Old Bill or Phoenix.
So yeah no hard feelings. Not everything can be perfect. MGTOW is a journey, and its not a plain level road adorned with rose petals. Its full of sharp splinted rocks and boulders. Sometimes what hurts us and doesn’t kill us..makes us stronger.

I think you were right in your initial post. I need to put it in park. Hit the hand brake. And just absorb more, to really see what is going on, before forming conclusions. There seems to be a definite reason behind why things are the way they are. Idealism, may be naive given the scope and nature of this particular beast.
If you went through a similar phase, then you will understand the need to want to bring this knowledge to those who may benefit, and be spared. But it is true, I cannot go around unplugging everyone. This is a mistake.
I appreciate that you’re being a gentleman and not holding any hard feelings. Thank you for that. It is clear, I have much learning to do. Perhaps with a little help along the way, I will get there in time.

It seems to me now, that perhaps MGTOW is a more subtle and abstract philosophy, and not one that I saw in the way you described it. Given that, idealism, regardless of good intent or desire to help share with others, seems to me now a bit naive. You have a very interesting way of looking at it. I thank you again, for bringing calm into the situation and for helping me to see more clearly, the things that I was not seeing, due to inexperience. I must admit, that I have never worked with, or have been a part of this sort of unique philosophy. I will have to be patient, and learn slowly, because previous frames do not seem to apply. And you and the more experienced members, point things out which reveal to me my own errors. So I will do what any reasonably smart person would do in my shoes. Which is to graceful exit, and bow out before I make a bigger fool of myself, than I already have. But your help and insights are very much appreciated.

Varun. Thanks for your advice and for sharing your wisdom. No it does not appear to be a plain level road adorned with rose petals. That is very well said. It seems to me, like a group of people who got f~~~ed by women, the system or life. And who are trying to recover and learn and grow in the process.
I feel a bit stupid. Should’ve kept it in the holster. But f~~~ it, we live we learn. I just hope Old Bill won’t hold it against me.
I guess it’s just one of those things where we learn through doing. But your advice about temperance is really sound. My gun went off. I thought I was making legitimate points. Seems I was not. Have been gently corrected, by the guys here.
Need to sit on the sidelines and do more watching, as there are things here that are a bit outside of what I am used to working with. MGTOW is something new to me. I will have to be more patient and mindful.

Well another new guy wants to “evangelize”, not even surprised. I’d tell you not to do that, but you have your heart set on it, so go ahead. It’s not going to work, but go ahead and do it. MGTOW doesn’t need that sort of thing to succeed, and grow. We don’t advertise, we don’t seek out others, we wait until they find us. There is a good reason for this. Until you’ve been down the road, and suffered from the gynocentrism, and been burned….. badly, will they understand. Someone has to realize they have a problem before they can fix it.
Most men would rather die than admit they have a problem with women, and they don’t know what to do. Those that do are either ridiculed, or “trained” do give women what they want. We don’t do either, we end the problem by ending the relationship with women.
I really understand that you want to help other men, this is noble, but sadly you’re going about it the way that will least likely work.Our best “recruiting” work is done by everyday women, society at large.

On the original topic. No hand signs, no labels. No shortcuts for actually putting in the time to get to know and understand someone. That’s what we’re looking for right? A way to quickly assume we know everything about someone we just met?
If you want friends, put in the time and effort. Figure out where you agree and disagree and whether you’re good with that. If you don’t want to do that, then learn to be happy without friends.
As far as evangelizing, this is what I’ve figured out over the years. If you care, then care. If you don’t care, don’t fake it. You’ll only make it worse.
I don’t get into greeting newcomers much…it’s just not in me. But will from time to time when it’s something I want to do, instead of something I feel obligated to do.
Ok. Then do it.
I don’t even have a question I would ask, however, whenever I do walk past another man, and I see he has his head up and not walking like a whipped dog, I always wonder if he is a MGTOW.
I spend most of my time in public ghosting & do what I must to ensure I am firing on all cylinders with my endeavor.
Many reasons I have for not being social in public, and many of those reasons echo in this forum, from the men that post here.
In short, I just never know who the f~~~ I am going to be dealing with in public, and I have better s~~~ to do with my time & energy.
As for trying or wanting to help men. Yes, That is one of my reasons this is home for me. To learn & grow from others that I consider wise & if I share something that helps another fellow, I consider that a bonus.
I may not be the first or last to say this – women themselves are our greatest recruiters. If I see a guy in need I will try to impart some red pill knowledge particularly if it’s a friend. My family, as far as they can understand it, know I’m a MGHOW. It winds my niece up no end and sometimes I will argue with her, because they are completely brainwashed by feminism thesedays. It is a philosophy and as such men will find it naturally when they are ready. I do however think it’s important to exercise judgement with who you share this with. We are not an ideology like feminists. We are an idea that cannot now be stopped. The more they try to define us the more we will be like the willow bending in the wind, whilst the great oaks are uprooted.

The most subtle and effective question I have discovered to discern blue pillers from red pillers is “Do you know that 9/11 was an inside job?”. If MGTOW comes up with an official secret handshake I’ll stop shaking hands altogether, and maybe go with a fist bump instead, and if MGTOW comes up with an official hand sign, then I’ll have one of my own.

I started it to figure out if there was an easy way to engage with people to see if there was any obvious red-pill common ground that could easily be struck mostly to find people to hang out with where I could dispense with the endless load of PC bullcrap and as always it depends heavily on the person you are engaging.
It’s very interesting to see that 18000 very different individualistic people can share a similar set of priorities, come together in a single place and yet can’t be considered a movement and will actively and openly argue to the fact that MGTOW is more of a personal philosophy.
This is one of the few places on the web I have found where heavy hitters, crude bastards and philosophy oriented people can have an honest argument/bar brawl and not have one side or the other fire-hosed by opinionated moderators.
You people are a credit to your race; In the meantime I will stick to my privilege of introducing queer and sissified hand signs to whatever red-pillers I can cultivate in my surroundings as a sign of simple recognition and acknowledgement of the fact that no matter how much one may disagree with another there is still common ground to be had. I shall be equally stubborn in accepting any that were proposed and gun-like might not be too far off in terms of suitability.

We can all thank Keymaster for this. I think he is wise enough to know that one man’s truth is another man’s nightmare, and that things will come out in the wash, and, ultimately, every man is entitled to go his own way.
I am a little confused by your last few sentences, are you opposed to the gun/loser like sign that was given to Pete? If so, what are other ideas? It seems that if Pete’s story is true and is what he think’s it is then there may be some out there who are already doing this…
Edit- I just came up with one… Spock/Vulcan like but just with the pinky off from the other fingers… This avoids the gun/loser problem and may even hint at the use of logic!
Second Edit- Triv, you can start another thread again if you like on this topic. But I would start it titled “for those who want a MGTOW hand signal” This will keep it more on topic. If you do so I will jump in, if not, I will do it myself. Just felt like giving you honors on this one.
