I apologize…. Next time I start a thread I will write out countless pages first. I didn’t realize it was such a big deal that I wanted to see what people say first. Sure is great that technology was created to be insulted, unity! The worst thing I did was create a thread that apparently upsets people. It’s official, the world is doomed, and real men don’t whine about a random thread on the internet… they’d move along. Did I accidentally log on to W instead of M? – I can be a total dick too, see.
Ha, ok, firstly, I like this guy already.
A few things this thread sparked in me-
Last night I was watching a documentary about conflicts in and around fifteenth and sixteenth century England, and what it came down to, as it always did back then, was who could raise the bigger army, for the most part, not who had the best Jets, Bombs, Destroyers, Propaganda, and ability to cripple a country via economic sanctions. The field of play was more even. As Tech advances it becomes more and more uneven. Look at Israel, they got their nukes despite JFK and the U.S. not wanting them to… and now the U.S./Israel is hard at work making sure Iran and other countries do not get them, don’t want that even playing field, the advantage and ability to dominate must be kept via continued domination. A circle of s~~~, death, and destruction.
Technology is not inherently evil, but yes, it sure as f~~~ is used for evil, and the further back you go the less evil it was as it decided less and less of the outcome in conflicts. Also, Tech has been driven and made most of it’s advances during times of war. The #1 motivation for new ideas has more often than not had to do with figuring out better ways in which to kill one another. So, yea, pretty f~~~ing evil. Even the Space Race, which is discussed here, was at it’s height only due to the race for producing rockets that could carry nuclear warheads around the globe. That is the singular reason why we put money into it back then, it was not about getting to the Moon, which I am not so sure we did, it was about war, dominance, evil.
Technology has and will continue to pollute the world (wait till the nukes fly to really understand this point) and I am not so certain we are better off because of it. Maybe 10% of it is good, I don’t know, would have to really break it down. As far as I can tell it is spawned and used to dominate others for the most part. This brings me to my second thought-
There is a theory that states that many planets throughout the cosmos can sustain life, and that life has likely developed as it did here. Evolution, survival of the fittest, inevitably always leads to the same place, the development of Technology, which is in turn used to dominate others. Well, as we can see played out here with the world filled with Elites hell bent on dominating one another instead of getting along we are left teetering on the edge of nuclear war. Gaddafi keeps his agreement and doesn’t get nukes, look how that worked out for him. So we have trained the likes of North Korea and others to pursue nukes if they want to survive via our aggression and desire to dominate.
So, what happens on all planets with intelligent life who are all working with the same elements? Well, they likely all went the route we are going, that is exerting all their efforts on the domination of one another to their collective demise, never getting off the rocks they spent millennia on acquiring intelligence, Technology, and other people’s s~~~. This is why none have, and none will, ever be paying us a visit anytime soon.
I also believe that this nature of man is basically Blue Pill/White Knight behavior magnified and carried out for eternity. Why do men do this? I say it is due to female nature of selecting the dominant over the conquered. The Female of the species selects what traits get passed on, and what actions are rewarded with sexual favors.
We have been told over and over again since we were boys that men are evil when in fact it is women who have all the power to shape the world, and it is their rewarding of evil that allows it to propagate. It is the female of the species which dictates everything by the power of being the gatekeepers of reproduction.
Riddle me this: If the most desirable women collectively rewarded Humanitarians with sex/marriage/attention instead of the most dominant would the world not change in an instant?
He who has the Gorilla body, the Alpha persona, the big bank account, and the power position wins, this is what drives Technology to be used for evil.
