What are you trying to influence here?

I felt attacked, and as my nature as a man, I lashed out.
I am fortunate enough that I can do it with text, not with fists. I would mostly likely get my face beat into dust. I am not trying to provoke anyone. I felt provoked, and acted like a douche to retaliate. I am well aware of my effeminate qualities. I didn’t ask for them, I was raised like that. I never claimed to be perfect, but I exist. I’m not trying to hurt others.
Interesting thread and to a point I think the world was already in slow downward spiral, the latest tech / globalisation has just accelerated this into freefall. Will we recover is the more important question?

Radio, TV, Movies, Music… none of it was created for entertainment. The guy creating it saw a way to broadcast, and news was immediately used as propaganda. Entertainment was never their intention, only to sell you something. They are casting spells on a board audience. “Science” has proven that your state of mind is altered like a trance, and people don’t realize that music and tv is being used to push a message they think is just for entertainment. When you channel your tell-lie-vision, they have regular scheduled programming for everyone, same with radio and music, and news stations. Internet is just enterweb, world wide web… to catch prey, not to branch out. A site called Facebook, is literally just a book of faces for the government to access. Every house hold item is becoming smart this, smart that.
Clearly technology could have been used for good, but that was never why it was created. Without a boat, we couldn’t go tear places apart for personal gain. Without guns and bombs, we couldn’t destroy everyone in the spur of the moment. The technology to farm has made it so we could bore more people than the earth can possibly sustain. Even if you point to medicine/alchemy saving lives, is that actually a good thing? I saw the other day a Lego car being controlled by the brain of worm that had been removed. Also saw that Google’s AI created its own baby AI. If humans can create AI far more intelligent than anyone on the planet, what will these new AI created by more intelligent AI do?
I’m not even looking to the future, I’m talking about right now. And I will talk more to you in the Socialism thread(which I agree socialism is trash), but consumerism isn’t any better at the end of the day. The reason I say that is because all of our food comes in packaging. People work as slaves to update their stupid phones, tv, computer etc. year after year, creating more garbage. Nobody seems to carry that China sucks despite becoming the #1 power, the goal is to keep up. Keep up with pollution and living in giant shoe box cities? Land is going to be a thing of the past, homeless people aren’t even allowed to fish technically. The system has been created so we have to take part in the system, and we compete to create technology, that will do us nothing in the end. We all die, life is temporary, and our bloodlines really don’t matter. Our kids are offspring is going to grow up a bunch of pansies who don’t even know what gender they are. I assume they get that from TV shows like Parks and Recreation, where April dates a bi sexual and a homo at the same time.
Power always corrupts, even when you give it to nerds with no real power at schools like Stanford. I strayed away from bringing up God and being wary of Satan’s devices because to some people it’s irrelevant, as they don’t believe. They believe space created itself so we could let the good times roll, and that’s fine, but it makes me wonder why they care at all. If I believed there was nothing after we died, I would off myself tomorrow because who cares. No one ever said I was wire correctly 🙂

Technology wouldn’t be much of a problem if people didn’t breed like c~~~roaches, and if we didn’t have a handful of elites creating all the other problems that don’t originate with overpopulation.

People no longer think for themselves, they just go to government funded schooling with government approved information to sit and gawk for 20-25 years of their life. They come out thinking they know better, they’ve never done anything or had a single original thought in their life. Everything is being done before them, they want to point the finger at what people did in the past to get here, but they were never in the same position. It’s easy for them to say other people were horrible and wrong, but they’ve had everything handed to them. It used to be having a full belly and shelter was enough, but now people need internet and cell phones as a necessity.

Technology is going to be a moot point when civilization collapses and the population does the hockey stick decline model.
Yeast and bacteria and reindeer will surge in population, followed by a decline that is a line that goes almost straight down vertical. Humans will be no different.

Technology is not good or bad, but it is the hand behind it that change it to good or bad.
For example, Nuclear Fission is not a bad thing. It is the driving force behind our Sun, and virtually every single space body in the Universe. But, here on Earth, we have two uses for it: Clean and renewable energy, and mass destruction weapons.
So, what makes Uranium become deadly or not? Simple: The human behind it.
You cannot control the uses of everything. Some will use it for good, some will use it for bad, but, how can we forbid the use of such technologies for some and not for others? How can we keep watching each other in order to take away their tech rights, if they are abusing it?
How do we control who abuse it?You see, it is not feasible to control technology. Tech can and will be used to enhance or to destroy the lives of people, depending on what they are using the tech for.

I don’t know about all technology. But certainly smart phones have changed society in a very negative way in my opinion. And I think Robotics and self service kiosk type technology are hurting humans by taking away a lot of skilled and entry level labor jobs away from families trying to make a living. And those exist only to make higher profits.
Honestly what I think has ruined the world is money and allowing a select few gain so much of it an along with that political power that they are the ones truly destroying the world. We’ve really lost 50-100 years of innovation and advancement because breakthrough technologies would change the balance of money and power so those people at the top lobby , destroy and kill to make sure those technologies never see th elight of day.
