The reason that 007 should not be a woman in those movies is the same reason that real intelligence agents in real life are not women. And everyone knows very well what that reason is: espionage of the sort 007 engages in carries an enormous amount of actual personal risk to the person doing it. And that enormous personal risk is accepted by those agents in order to benefit people other than themselves (country, culture, fellow agents, etc). The vast majority of those people doing that enormously risky work to benefit people other than themselves are doing it with zero recognition, and not a lot amount of money.

This bulls~~~ is aimed at children, who don’t know any better. My question is wether or not their goal is to try to convince little girls that they should do these things, or to try to convince little boys that they should not.

At best, they may be trying to convince little girls that they have equal value to boys (as if there was ever ay doubt) by wrongly teaching them that they are equally capable of doing all the things men are capable of doing. But as someone (more perceptive than me) pointed out recently: our civilization does not need women to do all the things that men can do. It needs women to do the things that men cannot do. Until women understand this, birthrates will continue to be inadequate to maintain population survival.

Perhaps if women took more pride and value from having children (instead of aborting them by the millions), they would not need to try to steal that value and self worth from men by pretending to be valuable and worthy for doing the things that realistically, only men are ever going to do.

The “book Bond” was a hired asassin working for the British Government. He was a dark character. I don’t remember which book, but “M” wanted Bond to die in one of his missions. This was in early Bond, before the invention of SPECTRE,and the Female “M”.

The movie versions of the Bond books rarely shown Bonds dark side,obviously to make him more likeable.

I read that Bond becoming a woman was defined as the number 007 was “just an agent’s number”, and not specifically James Bond.
I can’t see the separation after 50 yrs of the two together.

I saw the reboot with what’s his name, the eye candy who did the “venus from the sea” reveal in the speedo that historically was done by the Bond babes. Casino Royale reboot I think. Completely forgettable. The last good one I remember was “Live and Let Die,” and that was filmed at least a decade before I was born.

The only time I’ve ever bought into a female replacing a traditionally male part was in Terminator : Sarah Connor Chronicles and only specifically because it was a cyborg underneath and I could completely suspend disbelief that a woman could do more than 20% of the physical feats a man can pull off while hung over.

I grew up with the Roger Moore James Bond. I like all of his Bond movies. “Live and Let Die” is possibly my favorite James Bond movie. “A View to a Kill” is another real good one. “Moonraker” was kinda’ dumb, but I like it as well.

Supposedly, its “okay” what they’re doing, because they’re going to retire (kill) James from the position of 007 and his replacement just happens to be an English woman who happens to be black? So, first problem is, you dont retire or kill off Bond. WTF? Second problem, a woman simply cant function as a competent 00.

Daniel Craig played a good Bond, I dont care what anyone says. Casino Royale and Skyfall were masterful. Spectre was a miss because it had too much of that yellow haired C u n t face and not enough Christoph Waltz. How do you fvck that up? A movie with Waltz at that time was a free slam dunk… but the writer and director managed to totally gutterball that LONG, boring, ridiculous film.

BUT,
The producers/director messed up the “tempo” of the introduction of Craig as Bond. During the entire chase scene they filmed in Algeria, I was asking myself why??? why?? rather than the excitement of watching Craig escape multiple crazy attempts to end his life.
IF you do an intro like that; it needs to be short and sweet (Intro to “Dr No” comes to mind),like many prior Bond intro’s; not 15 mins of chase, but 3 mins of “What is Bond getting into?”
Craig’s acting was all that kept both movies afloat.
