I have been studying Ester Vilar the manipulated man (a mgtow must read )
I wonder if love of country, flag , and home us just another method to control men.
Do i love America (or your country) because I do, or am I being manipulated?
Do young men go off to die in foreign wars for love of country or because love of our gynocentric society?
I mean no disrespect to any veterans, but are we’re we manipulated into dying for the gynocentric world we live in?
What do you think?
This hit me hard, I have my uncle’s medals in my dresser and when I hold his purple heart ( that is very heavy) I wonder if he died for some f~~~ing c~~~s.

Anonymous54I veiw Patriotism as an emotion. Some times its stronger than otheres. I think humans tend to be trible. Thus there will be wars. Patriotism can be used as an emotional motivater.
Your Uncle was True to his Tribe.
Be Proud of Him!!
We are Proud of You Jan!!!
Anonymous42Country is bulls~~~
Women are bulls~~~
The law is bulls~~~
The republic is dead
Did I miss anything?
I believe in what our country used to be, but thinking it has become just another part of the Matrix.
I believed the way our country was “represented” to me as I was growing up kind of like the false bill of goods I was sold about being a “Real” man means being a husband and father.
In a World of Justin Beibers Be a Johnny Cash
I prefer nationalism, with sovereign currency controls, import tariffs, and controlled borders that keep unwelcome people outside of the nation.
When I see, hear about and become victimized by the double standards we live in my patriotism wanes. There are times when “thank you for your service” sounds like a veiled apology from some kid’s grandparents for spitting on my brother when he came home from Nam. Lately, I don’t feel any love for my country anymore, and I sometimes wonder if America will be the next battlefield instead of the middle east. I’m glad I made it off the west coast. Here I have hills and forests to hide in, and like minded rednecks to fight beside.

Both, you can love your country because you do, and you are able to name the reasons WHY. You can also be manipulated into peer group think.
I never actually liked Australia, because of the culture (or lack of), and never really fit in.
But I admit it is a good country and there are lots of opportunities.

In the past there was a social contract, men paid the price, now that women have reneged, I wouldn’t be f~~~ed to fight for the gynocracy, let the strong independent woman prove their worth.
When the war cemeteries are half full of the corpses of dead conscripted women, only then will women have earned the right to speak of equality. Sidecar “A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and goes to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do.” - Bob Dylan

Anonymous3It goes both ways. Are you proud of the guy who mowed down your father? I’m sure he is as patriotic and loves his country just as much as your father did. His children most likely look at him the same way you look at your father. If you strip away the familial bond, they’re exactly the same, doing the exact same thing.
Patriotism is like religion, freedom, free speech – good things that are used to justify bad behaviour. No one says, “I’m gonna start a war for oil / money / conquest”, they say, “we must fight for freedom / rights / Allah”. (Actually, some of the Allah folks probably believe that, but look at Northern Ireland – one nation tries to throw out a foriegn occupying force, and people think its a religious war).
Be proud to be patriotic Jan, but don’t let people use it to manipulate you.

Sadly he probably did, but that shouldn’t disgrace his sacrifice. If a man stands his ground for the right reasons in his own head, then f~~~ everything else. Once you start deconstructing things, well, if you go back far enough you get to Cain and Abel, and what’s the point of that? The value in politics is to ensure good men don’t die again and to grieve those we lost, not to judge them for the courageous actions they took.
(Hope that doesn’t all sound too much like waffle).
patriotism is not good or bad.
it’s how the patriotic are manipulated.
love of one’s country is natural.
blind obedience is foolish.
.
to believe in a cause worthy of dying for,
is to be admired.
to die for a cause you are told to,
is ignorance.
.
i live in my country,
i want it to be a nice place.
reality is that it’s a tough world,
and you only have a nice place to live,
when you PROTECT YOUR BORDERS.

But can you really say that? Doesn’t that apply for pretty much anything in history, or just any act of violence? I don’t think anybody who has done anything violent or killed another person, thinks to himself he’s doing something wrong.
The kamikaze pilots that were responsible for the attack Pearl Harbor, they thought they did it for the right reasons, can you say what you said for them?
To me, it’s just that everybody, in their own mind, is always doing what’s right, otherwise they wouldn’t have done it. I don’t think what you said was a wise thing to say. Just thinking to yourself you’re doing the right thing is not enough and way too simplistic of a view.

Yeah, bro, I can. Do you really think every soldier on ‘the baddies’ side are evil, and every one fighting for ‘our side’ are good? Soldiers generally have to do as they are ordered, so if you say, “MGTOW should never be soldiers” (as THX used to) I’d totally agree with that. But all a man has is his own values and the courage to stand for them.

Ooo, I disagree with you there. I think people do s~~~ knowing that it’s wrong all the time. Women may have a hamster wheel to convince themselves but men still do s~~~ knowing it’s wrong and ignore their conscience or rationalise it away. That’s not what I’m talking about.
But I admit, I may be guilty of speaking too broadly on occasion 🙂
(Well maybe ‘broadly’ is not the word for this forum… 😛 )
Patriotism is and always has been bulls~~~. The bulls~~~ didn’t start in our country. It has been around since we were all emotional with no brains knee high primates hundreds of thousands of years ago. Now however winners rewrite history to make what happened look dignified. Then they tell the young, full of cum, kids they should be patriotic and “defend” our nation. Which means put all that idealism into what the military tells them. The military gets its direction from the politicians. The politicians from the lobbyists. The lobbyists from the heads of the corporations. The corporation heads are motivated purely by their own self-interests and don’t really care about those stupid enough to let themselves end up on the front-line. Darwinism is fine for them. Actually it is fine for me too.

No, of course not. Definitely agree with you there. That’s why I said in the previous post that the guy who shot at Jan’s father was exactly the same as him. When familial bond or any sort of personal connection is involved, it clouds the way a lot of people look at this. It makes for a very simpleton view of their guys are evil and our guys are good, that cannot be any further from the truth.

But with that aside, is it enough to excuse one’s actions, if he genuinely looks at what he did, and thinks to himself without a doubt he’s doing the right thing? And where do you draw the line? When does it become not enough? Or if there exists even a line? And how do you determine whether or not they really believe they’re doing it for the right reasons?
To me, I don’t know the answer for any of this. I just don’t think it’s enough. It’s like if a white knight beats up another guy for a girl, I don’t see what he’s thinking about can be a justification. Because most of the time, I know when I was blue pill, the intent was pure and good.
The kamikaze pilots that were responsible for the attack Pearl Harbor
Kamikazes were only incidental at Pearl. They were organized in desperation in 1944 when the Japanese were on their way to done.
