I dont think we can compare our days to anything that has ever happened in human evolution.

Humans used to be in a constant fight for survival and getting food would be a full time endeavor.

I dont think Eric is a tuna, nor any other derogatory name (with the exception of being a politician 🙂 ).
I believe he is just trying to make a statement in a generally palatable fashion to the masses. Which IMHO, is the playground of politicians.

From my PERSONAL perspective sex is primarily for pleasure/pro creation, my experience however also includes (generally speaking) women using both their sex drives and my desire for sex as a means of gaining a variety of the other desires of a woman. Pleasure or procreation is not the primary reason.
