it wasn’t a quote, it was a translation of the first chapter and many members had the chance to read it in English for the first time and learn something new, It was a great experience, doesn’t matter if some atheist/theist got into their usual fights afterwards.

If you knew what the inevitable outcome would be, that’s considered trolling. Esp since you left the post here and then did nothing else in the thread.

There are so many variables at play that it’s often impossible to work out who is really in the ‘wrong’ so we let it slide and remember what made us friends in the first place.

We can’t please everybody all the time, especially those we talk to the most.

But it is 1984 Dissident that is the point. Britain is the most watched country on earth (I know you have been away for a few years) our government have the most intrusive and extreme surveillance powers of anywhere in the world and they use them.

I have seen people arrested of the streets of this country for quoting Churchill in public.

Please believe me when I tell you this country is worse than just about anywhere for manginas and political correctness. I could back that up with a list of examples as long as my arm.
