Always be aware of the guy/gal who is constantly fighting everyone. They usually are coming from a dark place and should be avoided lest their problems become your problems.

Every single tread DYD posted is about someone p~~~ing in his corn flakes and the ensuing drama that is his outlook on life. Yet the man provokes the manginas and tuns around him. He creates the drama.

We are definitely to help any member but Keymaster is right, that guy needs to learn to let go of his anger and go his own way.

well there is no power struggle. There is only one in charge here and that’s Keymaster. It’s his site, he makes the rules, he allows our interaction, if it wasn’t for him, none of this would even exist.

So, no member has the right to insult him in the open like this.

I’m sure DYD will come to his senses and will APOLOGIZE. He contributes a lot and has a good sense of humor. I have enjoyed his humor many time, BUT, we can’t have a member use cuss words against the site administrator. I’m sorry, that’s not right.

I see no other way to go on, because, this will rear its ugly head once more and it will continue to be a problem.

The other day, Old Bill showed us how a man really acts. His act of humility and wisdom was well displayed…maybe DYD should take a lesson from that.

Guess I will chime in on this as I finally managed to catch up reading all of this.

I think the main issue is the image of the site. There are many groups who would be looking for the slightest thing to out the lot of us and deem us a hate group. While I agree venting is important, so is being mindful of what you post. I for one like reading the posts here. I read it to learn from the experiences of far wiser men. At the same time, having a lot of posts about random violence goes against the site. This place is for helping men, not smearing women (all the time, only when necessary) nor about violence. Yes, violence does happen (frequently towards men), but we are better than that and should not be encouraging other men to commit violence. Self defense is one thing but actively searching out conflict makes you no better than antif~~s.

Back to what I originally started to say. This site is a testament to the potential greatness of men. By working together and sharing experiences we are getting more knowledge than any one man could gather from a lifetime. Think of the good this is for the young members and lurkers. At the same time, we have to hold ourselves to a higher standard than other sites to stand out. It also puts us in an entirely different category than feminiat sites, and we need to maintain that difference, as people already try to say its like “feminism for men” and other BS like that. While they bitch and whine we are getting to the heart of the issue and coming up with solutions.

I also want to say that the site, meaning KM, is usually pretty lax on stuff.

Just my thoughts on this topic.

This makes a point that came across to me. One of the things KM does not put up with is talk of Domestic Violence or use of connected violent images to the point where one could legitimately see it as endorsement. And KM is smart about this.

Why ?

“But I was just joking” doesn’t cut it if the wrong circumstances come about. I have seen it happen before there was even an Internet.

STEP 1: Someone talks violent or threatening stuff on a website or over the net instead of in person. It is likely empty talk.

STEP 2: Something happens, apparently related to violent or menacing talk.

STEP 3: Cops all over the place. If you are really lucky, nothing comes of it. If you are sort of lucky, running your mouth saying threatening or possibly violent stuff only costs you lawyer fees and you get your stuff back after some of it is seized in a search. Less lucky, it gets out, you lose your job or have to take time off from work. It gets worse from here, you get the idea.

KM has been consistent in not allowing language or images promoting violence, especially against women.

This is because he is smart. Some jerk who spouts off about hitting or beating women could be dumb enough to do it in real time. The last thing I think KM wants is to have to answer subpoenas or get hit with a warrant himself.

To be fair, I would have likely been more explicit and direct in giving warnings about this. KM was not as clear or focused as he has been in the past.

And I think KM would agree with me, if you get off on the idea of hitting women, or anyone else for that matter, you are a loser already.

Because people who talk enough trouble will end up attracting it.
