I believe by any objective analysis it can be proved the 70’s was the peak of liveability.

House prices to income was the best, people had less stress on every measure, more leisure time, more certainty, more optimism, economic growth, highest pay rate in adjusted terms…..etc.

The 1990s was that golden era for myself. I’m 32 so those were my childhood years. I’m also glad I got to through college before the smartphone and social media was a thing.

9/11 changed the course of the world. Before and after are so dramatically different. Today’s world is full of fear, stress, social tension and the aura of carefree America is gone.

I’m 33 next month. I saw the change and f~~~ing hate it. I miss the late 80’s and the 90’s, my childhood. Late 90’s and early 2000’s were s~~~ as I was seeing the change in everything. Then when F~~book and social media and cellphones possessed people, thats when it all went to s~~~.

I think by 2006 I had f~~~ing had enough of everything. It was the end of the road for me. Since then, it has only gotten worse.

I can’t even explain how I feel when I go out. I feel like a vampire thats been alive for 1000 years, forced to be immortal and just wanting to f~~~ing die. I’ve seen it all. I’m jaded and I f~~~ing hate people in general.

There is nothing to anything anymore. No substance, no soul. F~~~ing love-less.

I fear for the future and for my sons future, because it looks so bleak and wretched.

I hope you have enjoyed reading this nihilistic post haha.

There never was. It seems worse now because it is more blatant and the technology makes communication quicker and more voluminous.

We have more gadgets, genres, identities……etc but I feel there are no breakthroughs anymore or genuine new s~~~ happening.

Name one clearly new music genre??

In contrast there was a time when nobody heard anything like rock, heavy metal, hip-hop.

I was 5 in 1989 and remember a magical world of Thundercats, the A-Team and Count Duckula hahahaha. I had this Ghostbusters book that came with this slime and a trick book. My stepdad helped me make a prank to scare my mum which was as simple as taping a plastic spoon to the outside of her bedroom window. The wind would make it tap and scare her. Hahaha and it worked.

We went from living in Wales to Brunei Malaysia in 1990. I remember it all and have a great long term memory. I was always envious of the s~~~ my parents got to experience as adults.

But in terms of political s~~~. I was none the wiser. But i remember how life and people were back then. It was an epoch. A special place in time. There was mystery and substance to everything.

It’s all been replaced by synthetic toxicity and replicant, p~~~ poor excuse for human beings.

I’m sure it sucked in UK but for the middle class in the United States the Reagan years were great. I was 9 to 19 in the 80s it was my childhood and it was f~~~ing golden. I would give anything to go back there. Anything!
