Exactly my same thought, and I would add that it all depend by the circumnstances and the historical moment.
Good example being about economy and welfare, most people tend to have a moral and substantially abstract, reality-fled, stance, while I’m very pragmatic – example:
A growing economy, with plenty job opportunities: I wouldn’t mind welfare so much, there are around a lot of good opportunities and chances.
An economy that is facing a massive automation and job losses due robots: in such situation Universal Basic Income could be a very good option to implement.

The above situations are hypotethical: actual situation is more nuanced and many (perhaps even most) people can’t even decide if actual situation is more similar to the first example or the second.

1.) I would think MGTOW is a significant part of his listening audience. Dragging politics into the ring seems counter productive to his show. Then again CNN and Marvel don’t seem to have any trouble committing suicide by politics.

2.) MGTOW is not a movement and lumping us together as a singular political party is just ignorant of what we are.

3.) I think the show has lost a lot of steam due to wide spread redpill knowledge. When guys like Jordan Peterson and Joe Rogan are weighing in it steals some of Tom’s thunder. Maybe this is an attempt to win over liberals.

This is me. I have been confused by others as a liberal and conservative, but am more conservative if you look at the specific stances. I support a few politicians, but only because I know them personally, and they are friends or acquaintances. It doesn’t mean that I agree with everything they do, but I like who they are as a person, and I know their heart is in the right place, unlike most politicians.

I think there are plenty of good reasons to dislike Trump. There is much that I don’t like about him and haven’t like many of his decisions or how he’s handled issues. That does not at all man that I prefer Clinton or anyone else for that matter.

The way I see it, the US has a messed up system, and although I don’t think he can fix it, there is an attempt to try, which is something.

Regarding MGTOW, I do think there is a political aspect to it. If given any real opportunity, we would vote to pass legislation in ways that allows men greater control of their sovereignty. It’s no different than a progressive is going to vote to push progressive ideals. The big difference is that there are no real political options for MGTOW. We must either decide to ignore it all, or pick the candidate that can get us closer there.

And that’s why I think many candidates opt for Trump. But let’s be real, Trump is no MGTOW. However, when the issues important to MGTOW are not even up for discussion, you pick the one that help eventually get it on the table.

Tom tells me how to get more poon for less money. MGTOW guys just go their own way, think about what happens when he tells his audience about MGTOW, it puts the viability of his own message in jeopardy after he’s spent years building his audience.
