I have noticed over the past few days how people are reacting to the possibility of war with North Korea, and the possible escalations.
In particular women and some men seem completely unable to talk about or deal with the reality of this going south quickly. Men at work who attempt to talk about it among themselves have been shut down by women who simply blame all of this on men.
As the whole Tuesday and Guam deadline approaches, I fully expect these kind of outbursts will get worse.
The way our society has been so conditioned to ignore reality is coming home to roost. It is a situation that sucks to be part of, but not having rational discussions around how families should consider to deal with this is disturbing.

Exactly. S~~~ on TV is more important than word events. Most people on this planet just don’t want to talk about the big picture. They just don’t give a s~~~. The truth hurts them so they purposely tune out of reality. Exactly the same applies to marriage, where most men are too much in denial to accept the black and white reality of “love”.

China recently announced through a state-run newspaper that it will not come to North Korea’s aid if the communist country starts a fight with the United States, but would intervene if Washington struck first.
Wiping North Korea from the face of the Earth isn’t a real concern. It would take us all of 20 minutes, if that.
The real concern is what happens after. We don’t want to get involved in another retarded “nation building” fiasco, and keeping China and South Korea from going at it as each charges into the remains of North Korea to claim turf will be a real challenge.

The reality of the situation is that nothing will happen and the only thing being ignored here is 60 years of history full of the DPRK acting like assholes without serious consequences.
The Norks have blown up ROK passenger aircraft, bombed ROK embassies in other nations, regularly land commandos by submarine to kill and kidnap ROK and Japanese citizens, once infiltrated troops to attack the ROK White House, dig tunnels under the DMZ, shell ROK islands, play “chicken” with ROK patrol craft, and routinely act like complete assholes whenever and wherever they can.
In 1976, the Norks killed two US army officers in the JSA treaty compound at Panmunjom with axes. The US officers and ROK personnel were trimming a popular tree which blocked the line of sight between two UN outposts when the Norks jumped them. The US went to DEFCON 3 and sent in a mechanized engineering company backed by armed ROK troops to drop the tree a few days later. The 60s and 70s were full of similar incidents including the Norks ambushing supply trucks, firing mortars, MGs, and rockets into UN compounds, and other such s~~~.
What’s going on now only seems serious to you because you and too many others are completely unaware of all the other far more serious s~~~ which happened in the past without any escalation.

What Grue had already said. It was in the news today that China is (unofficially) saying that it will remain neutral if the United States attacks in response to an initial attack from NK.

Before the “Norks” did not have access to the same big sticks that they do now. So they feel the need to show it off, both for ego and for domestic credibility within North Korea.
The last time the USA had a leadership so military top heavy and “kick ass” oriented the world ended up with the last Korean war and Iraq.

No it isn’t. They have nuclear weapons, but they don’t have any way to deliver them. That’s the fact the MSM and the rest of the Chicken Little bunch can’t quite grasp.
All those rocket tests getting peoples’ panties in a bunch? The Norks don’t have an ICBM warhead. You just don’t duct tape a bomb to a rocket. It requires a huge R&D effort to make both the bomb and the missile “fit” and “work” together. Propaganda aside, US and USSR land-based ICBMs from the 50s would have failed far more often than they worked.
The Norks don’t even have a reliable missile either. Launching one straight up to fall in the Sea of Japan is kiddie s~~~ compared to trying to hit a target thousands of kilometers away, even a target as big as an island or city.
The Norks don’t have a bomber-carried nuke either, not that it matters because they don’t have long range bombers. They can’t fire one out of an artillery piece and they can’t mount one on an IRBM.
About all they could load a nuke into the back of a truck and drive it somewhere. They could “park” a nuke and detonate it when opposing troops arrive like a land mine. That’s about the only way they could “deliver” one.
Tuesday will arrive, nothing will happen, and the MSM with their herd of historically illiterate ADD boobs will frisk off to the next “crisis”.
The next time the Norks make noise, try to remember August of 2017 and gain some perspective.

Just because people are not talking about a subject means they are ignoring a subject. Consider that the corporate press hated President Trump. The situation allows President Trump to be presidential. That being said, President Trump and his administration are trying to find a peaceful resolution, but they have a military option on standby if the situation reaches that point.
President Trump and Secretary Tillerson are likely trying to negotiate a peaceful resolution right now.
The corporate press is either ignoring the North Korea matter, or put the situation in a light that reflects badly on President Trump. Some of President Trump’s critics are not suggesting appeasing North Korea. They are suggesting appeasement not to try to avoid a war, or aid North Korea. They suggest appeasement solely because President Trump is against appeasement.
The reason President Trump is against appeasement is because that has been the D.C. policy for the last twenty-three years, all the way back to 1994 when then President Bill Clinton gave North Korea billions of U.S. tax dollars and TWO NUCLEAR REACTORS on the promise from the North Korean government that North Korea would not develop nuclear weapons. That is like handing a person a gun and ask him not to use that gun.
President Trump did not create this situation and he is trying to prevent the start of a global nuclear war. But, that is not easy when all the other parties are so greedy, arrogant, and selfish they do not want to actually do something to fix the problem and they expect someone else to fix the problem in a manner they want the problem to be fix.
South Korea and Japan want regime change in North Korea, but they refuse to do anything about it and instead they demand the U.S. to do something.
China wants North Korea to continue to play “sick man” of southeast Asia, with China using North Korea to continue to poke the western powers of the region.
The globalists want China and the U.S. to go to war with each other in the hopes such a war will destroy the U.S. and the nationalist movement that is growing in the U.S. which President Trump used to get elected.
Both the globalists and China do not want a united Korea because such a nation would become an economic powerhouse which would rival their economic influences on the global stage. If the Korea peninsula united, all the money both South Korea and North Korea continue to dump into their military to be ready to be used against each other would go back into the economy of a united Korea.
Also, the U.S. to move its 30 thousand troops and assets out of South Korea. That is a lot of money that the U.S. would save.
But, this is money that globalists would lose in no longer selling weapons and technology to a military standoff to both sides of the potential conflict.
Those in D.C. whom oppose President Trump want to kick the can down the road and appease North Korea until North Korea actually fires nuclear weapons at other countries, possibly including the U.S.
The only sane people in this mess are President Trump and his Administration, whom are trying to navigate this situation to a resolution which will not end in an apocalypse.

The problem is this is not one guy pointing one gun. There are armies pointing tens of thousands of artillery cannons at tens of millions of people on both sides.
