Well I’m getting over depression, as usual there were no resources around me for depressed men, it was all women’s shelters and so on.. So I have to deal with it myself. Anyway, I really want to go to my allotment and get started on clearing it.. I really want to get back to my martial arts classes and down the gym seriously but it’s like I now keep forgetting or trying to find excuses to get out of it.. I’m trying to find motivation but nothing is really clicking.. Any advice would be good.

I’ve dealt with much the same good sir.

I have a habit of being completely focused on lifting, never missing a workout and then all of a sudden I just drop it and completely de-train myself. Food has been a big time crutch for me and that just leads to poor self-esteem and poor body image. Thankfully I’ve finally broken through that barrier and I ain’t ever going back. I’m a real lazy f~~~, so if I can do it anyone can.

The key to getting back into working out is just forcing yourself to do it. Even if you start just doing dumbbell work at home. If cardio and stuff like that is your kryptonite then don’t worry about it. As long as your diet is in check and you are on a good lifting program you can ditch cardio and still lose weight. You can run do cardio for 5 hours straight but if your diet is s~~~ you are just spinning your wheels and building frustration. No need to bore yourself to death walking on a treadmill. Everybody hates it, even the people who run them with ease. It’s boring as f~~~.

Just force yourself to go down there. Weightlifting eventually starts to become infectious, you just have to get that first good workout in and let one workout become two, two become three, etc. If you have an ipod or MP3 player just put on music that pumps you up and drowns out everyone else. You don’t have to interact with people at the gym, it’s actually better if you don’t because then you’ll really get distracted. You can however check out the eye candy on display while resting between sets. Always a plus!

If all else fails and you have the room, just put in a home gym and you are golden. No reason to have to drive to the gym, which can be a big time excuse for not going. I have a home gym in the barn/garage next to the house and I can make as much noise, blast my death metal as much as I want and love every minute of it.

The Children of Doom... Doom's Children. They told my lord the way to the Mountain of Power. They told him to throw down his sword and return to the Earth... Ha! Time enough for the Earth in the grave.

I got over my depression 8 yrs ago when I achieved enlightenment by becoming a MGTOW. All my depression was women related so once I killed the source and realized women were nothing to me but pussy, I have been HAPPY AS A F~~~IN’ CLAM ever since.

    Good luck.

And yes working out and eating right DOES HELP! It WILL make you feel better about your body and your mind.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me

Well thanks for the advice, though I should go and see a doctor for depression, again, probably.

Get’s to the point where you’re trying to get to sleep but you just sit up for two-three hours shaking, sweating and burring your head in your hands.. Well, me that is.
