I think it will get worse before it gets better. I hope there are enough people who contain a moral compass when the collapse occurs. And it will occur.
Sometimes things have to b torn down before they can b rebuilt.
I try to stay positive in the face of the negative, but its very difficult at this juncture in our collective history

Actually I’ve admired Butler for a long time, and when I first read about the Business Plot many years ago.

It inspired a lot more digging into other stuff. (Operation Northwoods, Operation TP Ajax, writings of Machiavelli & Seneca (views on progress) & Cicero & Edgar Bernays (Engineering of Consent) & Oswald Spengler (Decline of the West) & Arthur Schopenhauer & Johann Gottlieb Fichte (“Snow is Black” quote on education).

Google ALL of those and you might achieve maximum system Red Pill status.

When I was in my 20’s, I had a gf and we were both virgins and ended up waiting 2 1/2 years before having sex. So some degree of control is certainly possible.

Probably more control is easier, without the sick environment we currently exist in (Hollywood’s messages, the culture in general, etc)

Absolutely.
I suspect there has always been a small percentage of people who have greater control over themselves than most.
Probably there is a normal degree of variation, with the culture swinging from one extreme to the other and back again.
The danger is the power we now have that those less self controlled can abuse.
Drugs are a great example; People use them when they have to for medical reasons and abuse them for self indulgence.

Powerful post. Here’s my two cents on the existential crisis predicated on the collapse of our social unit.

If you’re focused on History and your place in it, you will be drawn to identifying yourself with the faith of the West. But if you look at the question of our civilization’s demise from a logical perspective, who the hell cares? When you’re gone, you’re gone. If you don’t have any children, you’ve got no reason to worry about the distant future.

Sure, it’s a nihilistic worldview, but being a MGTOW entails minimizing the effects that society has on your life anyway. If you believe that the male-female relationships are exploitative, then you already realize that the West and basically any other society is built upon a lie. Why would you be working for it’s benefit if you know it’s designed to hurt men? I’m not saying that there’s an alternative system that would function better, but it all boils down to your short individual life, so there’s no reason to be depressed about it. You’ve got your own interests to pursue and that’s it.

The other thing I’ve realized is that most of the time people feel that if reality doesn’t live up to their expectations, that the logical conclusion is to get depressed over it. But the fact that reality is awful is something that almost all religions and spiritual paths have been saying for thousands of years. The materialistic world and the pleasures we derive from it are evil, illusory, and the female is the perfect example of these bodily pleasures. It draws you in a dream-like state of ecstasy, she’s warm and moist. She also produces meaning through offspring and future projections. Her ultimate purpose is to produce even more suffering by bringing new life into this “veil of tears”.

The correct path is therefore the spiritual path.. not identifying yourself as a “man with his place in History”, but rather as a man that directs himself towards Eternity and transcendent values.

Edit: I just re-read OP and see you do have children. I assume that is where your worries about the West and it’s future disaster is rooted in – the fear for your child(ren). In that case, I’m not really sure what to say, but still, the best we can do is to focus on doing our own thing and minimizing the effects the numbing collective has on our psyche and lifestyle.

Minimizing the constant barrage of useless information, created needs & mad compulsions can only be done through a spiritual life.That is my personal answer.
Self-examination,meditation & prayer.
But having said that I find nihilism almost appropriate at this time. Its like what the f~~~ can you do its going to collapse anyway.
These are difficult times to keep one’s bearings. I do believe MGTOW offers a comfortable answer for guys like myself as I said before my ” PERSONAL” approach is taking responsibility for myself, meditating & continuing to pray & hope for the best.
Although, I must admit sometimes I feel like buying a fiddle &;watching the whole thing burn like Nero.
