I’m just honestly curious what other’s envision when they use the term ‘Chad’.

Interesting to hear your thoughts. The connotation that comes to my mind when I hear the term, is some: 6’3, tall, dark, handsome rico suave of a guy, but with a dangerous edge/attitude.

What you describe is more of what I think of as the standard PUA who doesn’t naturally have it, but is paying for it/attempting to imitate it.

But, now I know what you think of.

Seems most people who replied don’t really have some “prototype” of what they consider a ‘chad’; I thought everyone did. Which is interesting because so many people defer to ‘Chad’ as a type of guy who actually exists and just get’s pussy on the go for nothing, w/zero effort; which I have never encountered guys like this existing

Thanks this has been a very revealing thread. It looks like the common definition of Chad is “Some guy I hate who gets/ got the girl”. This is not a very helpful definition.

I agree with you that there is no guy who gets pussy on the go for nothing with zero effort. About the only one I can think that comes close is maybe a rock star on tour but to get there he has worked very, very hard at making popular music and developing a fan base and he is a freak example anyway as he is more an example of a phenomenon -the deification of entertainers in late 20th century early 21st century western culture- as opposed to a type of man.

Back to my own definition -I agree that there is a cross over with the PUA in my definition. Not all PUAs are chads but most would probably all like to be. I think a Chad is gifted by nature a little but its a bit like sport -you can’t put in what god left out but a lot of effort and practise is needed too.

We can probably all think of a time in our life when some (usually fairly loose living) woman inexplicably offered herself to us when we felt we made zero effort. It can happen by a convergence of lives and circumstances (usually something in her life just pushed her to urgency or desperation and the way we had built our lives made us look attractive) but it is a very rare event even in the lives of handsome athletic men. Women need to be courted, effort and resources need to be expended, certainly over time in all relationships. Its the age old trade between the sexes. Some poor simps live for it and define themselves by it. I call a handsome successful one of these a Chad.

Chad represents the jocks who always got the chicks; the suave “players”, and all around good looking guys who could get pussy with minimal effort; and the bad boy “rebellious” types.
