Not paying attention moment to moment in this world is kin to entering a long RR tunnel and not putting your ear to the rail! I agree with just about everything Ancient Wisdom wrote in this thread regarding informed vs. uninformed.
The first place anybody in the U.S. should start is in the events over 200 years ago, the men that founded this country were keenly aware of tyranny by human nature and the world around them, they also knew their history. Read over and over the U.S. Constitution and bill of rights if you haven’t already, when your done with that, pick away at the federalist papers to gain a sense of how things actually were, and the true intentions of the constitution, not the liberal perversions that distort the true meaning and intentions.
After that read lots of law and gain a sense of how laws are written to corner a weasel from misinterpreting and creating a loophole.
News? we’re a free society now endangered by the radical liberal mindset, a mindset oblivious to the constitution, and more so they represent the same tyranny our forefathers fought so hard to diminish.
There’s no mass media that isn’t owned by someone like George Sorrows that uses that outlet to push their propaganda.

I listen to Sirius XM, they have the widest available opposing voices to liberal mass media, but it slices both ways, they also have the most radical liberals found anywhere.
On my to-buy-list is a ham radio with liner amplifier. I’ll still be MG-Tower in a post apocalypse world. You’ll find me on ham radio broadcasting contamination levels (Bq. count), barometric pressure, and weather conditions.
Seeing radicals in Iran attain nuclear weapons with the West’s blessing is the NEWS I see today. These events are a global game changer. Seeing the immigration of radicals has only caused me to fortify my defenses and prepare for eventual WAR, but not against any religion or race, more so against the chaos and mayhem that always follows.
War has it’s victims, tyrants, and survivors. The victims are usually the uninformed masses that dwell in ignorance. The tyrants are those that invade another person’s space with the intent of conquering them into submission. The survivor is the guy that has MRE’s stashed about and lives in the woods until the enemy has swept the area clean.
My point; until recent times we lived in relative safety and comfort with security and strength keeping us safe. That’s all evaporating as more and more radicals infiltrate their sworn enemy’s territory.
Just like the Americans of old that told King George to go f~~~ him self (Hanc~~~ in large print), I’m willing and able to use the same gorilla tactics against a common threat.
