Yeah ok mate, cosmic

That’s the whole point – there is a huge difference between:
1. a label (“God”) and
2. that to which the label points.I don’t hate the word god.
I don’t hate what the word god points to because I have no evidence anything the label god points to exists.
Do you hate invisible pink unicorns?
Are they?
Check out the Richard Carrier YouTube video I posted earlier and you tell me…

Notice a trend here, theists just claiming all sorts of s~~~ without proof and when they are called out they post memes like that wins an argument.
My offer is still open for the plane ticket to North Korea—any takers to Atheists paradise!
Hey X11, maybe we should take PP up on his kind offer. It might be fun to go over there and f~~~ with North Korea’s Catholics…

I bet if I organised cover at work, someone to look after my animals etc Pete would not come good with his promise of a ticket to NK.
Just internet BS, I actually would love to visit NK along with many other places.
Here is a great quote from the bible showing how God commands his children to love his neighbours:
Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods. In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully. If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock. Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it. Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God. That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt. Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction. Then the LORD will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you. He will have compassion on you and make you a great nation, just as he solemnly promised your ancestors. “The LORD your God will be merciful only if you obey him and keep all the commands I am giving you today, doing what is pleasing to him.” (Deuteronomy 13:13-19 NLT)
The thing is… if you are using the bible as a reference you must explain why it is that god continually asks his followers to commit murder, human sacrifices and burnt offerings. If you think these things are wrong, then you must attribute some other capacity for moral human reasoning other than god. In other words, since murder and human sacrifice is commanded and approved by God, and since, presumably, you believe these things are wrong, what instrument of reasoning permits you to make this judgement? It can’t be the morality as inspired by God because he is the one commanding the Israelites to do these horrible things. There must be some engine of reason that enables you to distinguish between God’s commandment to “Love Your Neighbour” and God’s commandment to murder and destroy entire towns simply for believing differently, and it can’t be the bible because the bible says both of those things.

You can’t argue with someone like you. I’m not here to argue, but I’ll say one thing, you’re living proof that every village needs an idiot.
Yeah because you say so.
Why are we even having this argument on here? Nobody is changing anyone else’s mind on the subject. What is the point besides obvious trolling on both sides?
Check out the Richard Carrier YouTube video I posted earlier and you tell me…
It’s easy to say – and even argue – God and the Bible are man-made “fabrications”. I won’t even disagree with you! You don’t need to see meaning in it.
But take for example the ego of Pharaoh Ramses (story of Moses). Orders every first born slain, like the big man that he is. And in the process of failing to see his own hubris, he killed his own son.
It’s not about the fabricated story about some evil mist sweeping through the streets. But it sure is a good lesson in humility. Samson and Delilah is another one. They’re just stories, but they were written for a reason.
“Useful morality” lessons galore.
If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.A lot of believers see religious texts as just moral fables to learn a lesson from. I have learned a lot that way, some good stories.
Its only the minority of extremists that believe every word as literally true events that give religion a bad name.
There’s great material that’s been written on this thread ..I wanted to acknowledge its wisdom.
But for the Atheists all I have for them is this ⬇

I’m no biblical scholar but I don’t think the bible was meant to be taken literally that way.
I believe with most passages, the bible was meant to be interpreted metaphorically/allegorically.
My interpretation of that passage would be: if you detect you’re having crazy thoughts (worthless rabble) in your head (in your town) encouraging you to worship pussy (foreign gods), examine the facts carefully (i.e. go MGTOW). If you find it is true and such a detestable act has occurred among you (i.e. you got married, worshipped pussy, etc), you must attack that town and completely destroy all of its inhabitants (destroy those blue pill thoughts) as well as the livestock (get rid of blue pill friends). Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it (dont just destroy the blue pill thoughts, F~~~ING NUKE THEM). That town must remain a ruin forever and never be rebuit (you will NEVER go back to those blue pill lifestyle). Keep none of that plunder that has been set apart for destruction (Did I say destroy MOST of the blue pill thoughts? no destroy THEM ALL, INCINERATE THEM!). Then the Lord will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you (your inner self will forgive you for wasting 10 years of your life being her bitch PROVIDED you wake up now and NEVER go blue pill again). He will have compassion on you (you will forgive yourself with time if you never go back) and will build you a great nation (have a great life), just as he solemnly promised your ancestors (just as you were happy in the past).
Confused;
Events in the bible actually literally happened or they are metaphors/allegories???

That wasn’t necessary at all. Neither was any of the baiting in this thread. We can have honest, intellectual debates and discussions without trolling, and still be respectful. This is after all, a forum of men. No need to be petty.

You were free to voice your opinion, I did the same.
You must own a better Crystal ball than IFor the record, look on any thread involving religion and the theists will be the first to bait and act like juveniles.
They get the pussy pass tho.

You must own a better Crystal ball than I@Surfdude – Thanks. Yeah I’ve got Ayn Rand’s book, Atlas Shrugged. I plan to read it as well.
This whole thread turned into a S~~~ Show.
Truth has no place to live in the mind of a woman.
