I have to disagree with you Faust. I see your point in that Trump supporters have similarities to the Communist revolutionists, but you could have also compared Trump supporters to American revolutionists. The point being that revolutionists feel like the current government has too much power over their lives, and no longer serve as a benefit but a deterrent.

I see trump as a capitalist first, who wants to use whatever leverage he can find to meet his own needs. It works with him as President right now, because at this stage of his life, he wants and needs to be loved and well liked. I think he has a sense of altruism, but it’s more academic then an absolute concern for the people. He also has a natural disdain for the status quo, and doesn’t want to play by anyone else’s rules. He takes pleasure in doing things his own way. All these things are a good thing for now.

But back to the people, I’d say people are tired of feeling controlled. I don’t think that means they favor communism, but favor a more pure capitalism and return to the absolutes of a constitution. It could be just me, but if Texas went independent, I can’t imagine it would be communist.

I also think we’re seen a shift in roles. The conservatives used to be called as such because they resisted change. The liberals wanted change. It feels like the roles have changed a bit, as the conservatives want change and liberals want things to be the same as they were under Obama. T Conservatives don’t talk about social issues much (gays, abortion, marriage), but focus much more on equality, and want the freedom to live their lives as they choose. Despite what liberals state, they are the ones that now want to control the behavior of others, and are nuts about the fact that they can’t control the president’s behavior through shaming and media pressure.

And for the most part, I don’t see Trump supporters wanting benefits that they didn’t earn themselves. They don’t want to foreigners to pay for it, they just don’t want taxes taken for now reason and for the government to bend towards foreign powers out of guilt and global idealism. Americans are tired of holding all the cards and being told the right thing to do is fold for the benefit of everyone else.

The mid term elections will be interesting. IMO, it will mean we still have a chance to get to where we should be or if the people want to remain in the swamp we’re drowning in.

So many people do not understand the situation. They believe that Trump supporters are conservatives that would rather lay down and die than throw away the U.S. Constitution in order to survive.

This is what Saul Alinsky taught. That the opponents will always obey the “rules” to the point of being pushed to destroy themselves with their own “rules” to preserve their own “rules”.

Saul Alinsky teachings did not take into account what happens when the opponents altogether decide to “break bad”.

The Trump supporters were once “conservatives/tea party members” whom wanted to protect the U.S. Constitution and the rights stated there of in. But, after being ignored by the politicians. Having their petitions and protests gain them nothing. Having the religious organizations turn against them. Having the corporations insult and censor them. Having the government bureaucracies abuse them. The Trump supporters have become something else. The Trump supporters have become communists in everything but name.

Communism promises that which Constitutionalism will not; Vengeance against thy enemies and taking back what has been stolen from thy enemies.

Over the last sixty years, the American working class has had their wealth and dignity strip from them by everyone else in the world. So, there is plenty of motive for the American working class to embrace the concepts of communism.

Now, I am not talking about the proto-fascist Soviets whom claim to be “communists. I am talking about the communists that Karl Marx envisioned.

If you read about Karl Marx, one realizes he was a pro-gun ownership, traditionalist (husband works while wife is at home), whom railed against corporate monopolists that controlled governments and stole from the people. In his day Karl Marx considered the “opium of the people” to be religion, because that was where the elitists had their message of control preached from. Today the “opium of the people” is the “media” which Trump supporters rail against.

Same s~~~, different day. LOL!

Now, President Trump might be a capitalist. He is definitely a leader whom works to keep his promises. A rarity in any age. He is a man of honor. But, his message and promises are “socialist” at the core. The only difference is that while the progressives demand the “benefits” and for the working class of America to pay for those “benefits”, President Trump promised the working class of America “benefits” and for the rest of the world to pay for those “benefits”.

That is the difference, folks. That difference being, who gets the benefits? And who gets the bill?

That is all the difference there is between the Trump supporters and the progressives.

And President Trump has so far been delivering on his promises.

Once you realize this, it is no surprise as to why the progressives are going insane. President Trump is not derailing the gravy train, President Trump is reversing the course of the gravy train.

The progressives realize they and their allies are going to lose the benefits they were receiving, while being made to pay for the benefits they once received, which will go the working class, whom the progressives were billing for the benefits the progressives received.

And the Trump supporters are loving every minute of this change of course and circumstances.

What I am trying to say, is that when the comes to Trump supporters seeing the progressives get ready to find them, the Trump supporters look at the progressives like starving animals looking at potential dinner. And their response is, “Bring it!”

Meanwhile, as for myself, I realize that Karl Marx was right about something else. That history repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce.

And what a farcical comedy this situation has been. Sure, it has also been a bloody comedy at that, but the situation is still a comedy.

So, I will laugh at the joke everyone else seems to willfully ignore for fear the truth of the joke of the situation will break their fragile minds and hurt their little feeeeeelings. BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Very nice post but i will correct a few things in it.

No one voted for Maduro, he was the vice president and took over power after Chavez died, when Chavez died yes the writing was already on the wall that Venezuela was heading for a collapse, but no one heard the whistles going off. Venezuela has seen increased pressure from the West because Maduro continued the same policies of late Chavez of closing in with China and Russia while defying the U.S. and the western powers, Maduro is playing the same book but the book no longer works when you have an entire hemisphere against you, also the united states seized property and wealth from Venezuelan officials including late Chavez and hes family, they pretty much took hes house that was in Miami.

Now The lovely part of all of this is that The U.S. by applying strict sanctions has repeated exactly what happened in Cuba and we are only seeing the start of it, This was never about Democrats vs Reps, this was Americans standing up against the welfare state and the government overreach, now immigration from Venezuela to the U.S. is up by 150%, there are plenty of Cuban nationals there already and that is why Obama turned off “the wet foot dry foot” policy.

The government takes in more debt, gives it to the businesses that are taking in records amounts of cheap debt, said businesses that are more like monopolies now then create more jobs with cheap money, from those jobs not all will get filled by Americans so they gotta bring refugees and migrants from every corner of the world the U.S. starts s~~~ in.

This eventually drives up prices of key things like education, property and will increase taxation in the long run, Americans are being choked out in their very own homeland and i don’t think Trump will save the country since he has the government and the deep state up hes eyeb~~~~.

I’ve seen in several places people saying “freedom of speech isn’t hate speech”, and then they use it as a card to play “but what he said is hate speech”, so they justify anything.
Is like the “punch a nazi” thing, first they use it as an excuse to make people feel that is OK to punch someone, then they start calling whoever they want a nazi so they can punch them.
This is their tactics, they try to use one thing that if you disagree you sound like “literally hitler”, then push that thing to the extreme to justify any extreme actions that they have and get away with it.

Those people don’t get that freedom is freedom, I don’t have anything against platforms saying that something is not allowed there, see this forum for example, FOR MEN ONLY, in the front page, and I love it !! This is our space, with out ideas, and it is good for us.

Social media platforms live on the hypocrisy, if they put on their first page “left-wing people only”, I would be OK with that, a website can be considered “private property” and the owner is allowed to accept or refuse members based on whatever criteria they want.
