If he’s not confirmed, then the next nomination will happen after the midterms. Or they could just get confirmation delayed long enough. Democrats hope to get control of the Senate back, and then they can restrict the nomination candidates. They will then claim that they were able to ‘Save Roe vs Wade’, and try in spinning as a selling point for the next election.

I wound bet that Kavanaugh is confirmed before the end of the week. Even then, the left and media will spin it. They always do. The fact of the matter is that the acquisition is completely unprovable, and even if it is true, no one who’s using their brain would see it as a legitimate reason to disqualify him.

But as far as MGTOW, goes there are many here that are pro-abortion. And you could make the argument that if women can’t abort, they will be coming after men for money in greater force. I see it differently though. Morals aside, if the decision to abort is no longer up to a woman to decide, then it stands to reason that rights to children should not be so tied to women either. And this is what feminists are really afraid of. They are afraid that losing control of children means losing control of men and the labor and money they provide.

On a related note to Awakened’s comment, so many of the Trump haters set up a straw man to revile.

Straw man = “an intentionally misrepresented proposition that is set up because it is easier to defeat than an opponent’s real argument.”

Like political cartoons which do nothing but call him names or make fun of his ego. They laugh at this and say, how can you really want this for President? But it’s usually their own bad behavior they are laughing at. I heard on public radio that the Democrats’ explicit campaign strategy is name-calling and labeling their opponents with ideas of corruption.

Anyway, it’s business as usual whenever a person creates change.

Also, it has less than two days since the accuser made her own identity publicly known. Those digging into her past have found multiple motives as to why she would lie. When I was HS, Clinton wasn’t even a known figure, much less a possible subject of history. And since history marches on, yet the amount of time devoted to history does not increase, what is taught must be prioritized. In the grand scope of the entire US history, I don’t think Clinton warrants much more than a mention if at all.

Personally, I do not trust schools to discuss recent history at all, as I don’t think it can be done in a fair objective way. Even in Texas, Clinton, Trump, etc will not be presented fairly in schools. That’s not to say that I don’t want my kids to know and understand these figures, but I’d much rather teach them myself than have to first undue the lies they’re told at school.

And yes, Beto just p~~~es me off. The upside is it reminds me that I cannot afford not to vote this election, and let’s me know which neighbors I absolutely need to avoid.

I think a global financial and societal collapse is already occurring, only gradually.

Most of it is on purpose and controlled.

Of course, there are always glitches and surprises that come up to thwart the plans. (Think Trump, for example)

Unfortunately, I think those making things happen are determined enough, and powerful enough to make it happen, eventually.

It really seems to come down to a few hundred, maybe a thousand people influencing everything behind the scenes.

The only way to prevent it is to convince those people to change their minds or remove those people from power, somehow.

Good News: South Korea Government and North Korea Government open Liaison Office on their shared border.

Contrary to what the title of the linked article states, this is good news.

Anyone hoping for peace in that region would welcome this liaison office opening.

The U.S. State Department is using the excuse of denuclearization of North Korea to attempt to slow down peace talks to be on their time table.

While I trust President Trump, I do not trust the U.S. State Department as a whole. The U.S. State Department has a history of making things worse around the world for their own internal reasons. Even after two changes of leadership and a house cleaning, there are still individuals in the U.S. State Department whom for various reasons would like to stall these peace talks so the negotiations would fail,

The fact both the South Korea and North Korea governments are ignoring the U.S. State Department and they are pushing through peace talks at a faster rate shows that progress in some sort of formal peace treaty could be seen in a few years.
