History curriculum in Texas remembers the Alamo but could soon forget Hillary Clinton and Helen Keller.

As part of an effort to “streamline” the social studies curriculum in public schools, the State Board of Education voted Friday to adjust what students in every grade are required to learn in the classroom. Among the changes, board members approved the removal of several historical figures, including Clinton and Keller, from the curriculum.

I couldn’t disagree more with this action.

We got angry and rightly so when the revisionist historians started tearing down statues of Confederate generals and British imperialists, and the same reason applies, those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it, and not to put too fine a point on it we came too close to Clinton being elected to risk another of her kind sneaking in by the knowledge of the danger they pose to us being lost.

Also on a more practical note, you don’t defeat fascism with fascism, in the same way you don’t defeat revision historians by revising history.

I agree with BritGHOW. Compulsory indoctrination centers are why fundamental knowledge of our predecessors are lacking.

A free market education process. In the past, was US citizens strength. In the first half of the 19th century. Alexander De Tocqueville remarked that regular American’s were the most well informed people he’s ever come across.

One of the worst forms of revenge a man can do to a woman is to forget her as she fades out of the rear view mirror of history.

    Give her a meaty paragraph…include:

the lying about Benghazi cause, and “What difference does it make”
the email server/document hiding and mishandling classified documents
    the Russia/Uranium deal for $millions
the Clinton Foundation intake vs. aid given
the removal from her House Judiciary Committee staffer job because of incompetence and lying
    the Whitewater scandal
the crushing of women who came forward about their relationships with Bill
the lying about “sniper fire” in an attempt to simulate exposure to danger in a war zone
the theft of crockery, furniture, artwork and other items from the White House — had to return and/or pay for them
the amassing of a personal fortune with “speaking fees” and payments from private sector political donors and foreign governments into transparent “foundations” in obvious exchange for future political favor

Okay, maybe she needs two paragraphs.

Why is Hillary Clinton in the history books to begin with?
She is a contemporary, secondary political figure.

Good, vote the bitch out! As long as the liberals are destroying our historical artifacts and statues, get even with them by eliminating Hillary Clinton.

Exactly. When I was in high school I couldn’t tell you who was secretary of state 20 years earlier, or who had lost an election 20 years earlier, and it definitely wasn’t in my curriculum. Why should Hillary?

Okay, maybe she needs two paragraphs.

A list of her suddenly dead former business associates would fill a page in itself.

Also losing out was Barry Goldwater but no fake outrage over him. Hrc and keller can still be taught. It just won’t be mandatory. Limited time in school with virtually unlimited historical figures, some gotta go. It’s not censorship and not the same as revising history or tearing down statues. Revisionism would be teaching hrc was something more than she was.

When I was HS, Clinton wasn’t even a known figure, much less a possible subject of history. And since history marches on, yet the amount of time devoted to history does not increase, what is taught must be prioritized. In the grand scope of the entire US history, I don’t think Clinton warrants much more than a mention if at all.

Personally, I do not trust schools to discuss recent history at all, as I don’t think it can be done in a fair objective way. Even in Texas, Clinton, Trump, etc will not be presented fairly in schools. That’s not to say that I don’t want my kids to know and understand these figures, but I’d much rather teach them myself than have to first undue the lies they’re told at school.

And yes, Beto just p~~~es me off. The upside is it reminds me that I cannot afford not to vote this election, and let’s me know which neighbors I absolutely need to avoid.

    Ok. Then do it.
