AP – Countries in the OPEC oil cartel have agreed to a new oil output level that effectively increases production by almost 1 million barrels per day.
The increase was announced after ministers from the group met on Friday in Vienna.
The production increase will partly undo a 1.2 million barrel cut OPEC agreed on in late 2016 that has helped push up the price of oil.
Ahead of Friday’s meeting, OPEC’s largest producer, Saudi Arabia, was seen to be open to higher production but Iran had been hesitant. U.S. President Donald Trump has been calling publicly for the cartel to help lower prices.
Iran wasn’t just hesitant, they said “we are not here to receive instruction from President Trump and apply it and implement it.”
But then they did. LOL!
It’ll be nice to see prices come down at the pump. But I’m not sure how much 1 million barrels a day, when spread out, will really impact it. I guess we’ll find out.

Having seen this road a lot over the past 10/20 years I am more skeptical. 2008 was nothing more then a wasted investing opportunity.
Germany has set itself up as a key domino. Hate Trump as much as you do the man is in the process of taking the standing dominos and rearrange them. The interconnections of business are being rewritten. If the Germany falls into civil war, and the EU breaks down no big deal, the US and Asia already have backup internal supply. Thanks to all the fury over the Tariffs.
Along with these Tariffs it has brought about a disinvestment of foreign buying US debt/selling debt the had. The current tax structure ie the tax cuts have brought about a marked gain (as it always dose) in revenue to the IRS. US debt being paid for by the US. Strong US economy.Could all this go to hell, yep impeach Trump and s~~~ hits the fan. Every day the odds of the happen drop, every day it looks more like a 2nt term is in order.
If you have money to invest, be wise and start watching the markets. Buying opportunity will show up. Be careful about internationals.

Amen! And some of these kids, who live in Mexico and Central America, run away from their parents. The American taxpayers shouldn’t have to pay for s~~~ty governments and s~~~ty parents. People around the world need to put some effort into making their situation better instead of just migrating to other countries without a visa.
There isn’t enough tax revenue to take care of American citizens! The U.S. government needs 3.5 trillion dollars a year just for operational expenses. Where the hell do these open border advocates think we’re going to get the money to take care of millions of illegal aliens and their children? And who’s going to hire all these migrants once they cross the border or arrive here by ship? We don’t have unlimited jobs and welfare here, and if we can’t afford to clean up our crumbling, gang-infested cities, and create safe, prosperous communities for our own American children, how are we supposed to solve the problems random foreigners are down on their luck and continue to have babies in spite of the environmental/financial crisis they’re in?!
I feel that way too. Like all the Arab migrants. Why are all those young men abandoning their nations? Shouldn’t they stay and try and rebuild it into something worthy?

The apparent boom in the USA is one huge bubble consumer debt will bet at $4 trillion by the end of 2018.
You are likely correct. That being said, two factors to look at.
The first being where investments are going. Should President Trump’s tariff plan work, that will buy the U.S. time, maybe even stabilize the situation for the U.S.
But, the big issue at the moment is the EU censor and tax on links on the internet. If this goes forward, this will destroy the e-commerce in the EU and drive money out of the EU. Much of that money will go to the U.S.
(Also, the social media companies will leave the EU, and with Asia nations making their own social media services, these social media companies will have to turn their attention back to the U.S. market and likely stop censoring their customers in the U.S. if they want to remain in business.)
Also, there is the matter of the debts. It is likely with a strong leader, the strong leader will nullify any debts causing the banks hold the debts they created.
The fact of the matter is the debts are in the hundreds of trillions of U.S. dollars. No one can pay the interest on the debts, let along the debts themselves, yet the banks continue to create more and more debts.
These debts will default one way or another.
And with the U.S. population being armed and turning nationalistic, it is unlikely the debt holders can do anything to open towards the U.S. population.
