This is what I respect about Key Master. I understand if some guys were offended by his post, rightly so. Personally I assumed he was buzzed and was being sarcastic or something. But apologizing, and men forgiving and being understanding is a trait unique to guys. This is what dooood’s do. Im not minimalizing any wrong he said. But guy was buzzed. It’s seems we understand each other, and Im gonna do what little I can to stop guys from throwing each other under a bus. I know what “get over it” and “stop crying/whining/complaining” means. You don’t MEAN anything by it. You said it yourself. You actually thought it would be MOTIVATIONAL on some level. It’s not that bad or harmful to anyone… BUT ISN’T IT???

I fell when I was a kid and hurt my knee on a big rock. My Mom was a nurse and showed very little empathy for anything that wasn’t a bullet in your chest or a limb missing. Even if we had a killer flu, she would practically push us out the door to go to school anyway.

I thought it was weird – even when I was 5 – and THE S~~~ F~~~ING HURT, that I would be told “stop crying”, and “boys don’t cry” and “Aw it’s not that bad”.

WHAT THE F~~~?

I’m f~~~ing FIVE, and Im being told to “man up” – and even then, I knew there was something wrong with that.

That’s what we do to each other. We tell each other s~~~ like that.
And we think we’re doing each other a “favor” when we do it.
We even “gay each other out”: i.e. “Don’t be a f~~~ing F~~”.

Eventually that s~~~ takes its toll. When you’re told – just one too many times – that you’re not permitted to take a goddam minute and scream your head off when it feels like your knee has been shattered …… eventually the day WILL come when you’ve had enough of that s~~~. Either you will end it yourself. Or your heart will do it for you.

So if there is a “rule” that I can’t scream in pain or show a tear when I shatter my knee…. then I am going to counter that, and call bulls~~~. But to the kid who screams in pain when he’s hurting… I will be there for him, but when his knee is all better and he tells other guys to “stop whining and get over it” I’m gonna bend him over and f~~~ his ass.

And while I’m f~~~ing his ass, I’m gonna whisper in his ear: “Stop crying, and don’t be a f~~~ing f~~. I’m doing you a FAVOR.”.
