Fishwoman isn’t stupid because like any good socalist she uses other people’s money and it is English money she spends like water. THAT is why the SNP want to stay in the EU – she is hoping to curry favour so the EU pay what the English do…
Yes.
Her plan and the hope of many Scots, is to join the EU in the belief that money will rain down on them. Unfortunately for her, the EU is broke – Deutsche bank is bust and the Germany economy is cracking under the strain of propping up its voting bloc in eastern Europe.
They simply cannot afford to take on another economic basket case – a situation multiplied by the prospect of the only other money tree in Europe – Britain – leaving the EU.
This is why she has been told ‘No’, only she is too dumb to get it and too crazy to listen.I doubt they will and most actual Scots probably realise the same so any new referendum will end up with Scotland staying in the UK
I have no doubt that their hatred of the English will override all other considerations.
Yeah I have often wondered if she is appealing to her base and knows any referendum won’t be “won” and she can say anything she wants and still get English cash
But saying that during the last referendum Salmon (Scots and their fish leaders) had all sorts of economic plans that were based on North Sea oil money and pretty much the day after the referendum vote oil prices crashed so they would have gone bankrupt in a week if they had voted to leave
You are spot on though – the EU is desperate for cash (also riddled with corruption) and I suspect Boris’s brexit plan will involve massive secret payments we won’t ever know about. But the fact some tinpot nation of about 5 million having sway over anything is laughable…”but we have whiskey and biscuits!!!” is f~~~ing laughable – the EU will never pay for their free drugs, education etc
The snp plays on the hatred of the English – I really hope they do vote to leave and the EU tells them to f~~~ off and within a month they would be begging to come back…nah will be the usual paper tiger with ‘we hate the English’ but keep the money tap on
I really hate Scottish people – ungrateful c-nts
… all sorts of economic plans that were based on North Sea oil money and pretty much the day after the referendum vote oil prices crashed so they would have gone bankrupt in a week if they had voted to leave.
The ‘we’ll all be Scottish oil sheikhs’ thing is another one of their greedy delusions. The oil is running out and was all hocked away decades ago anyway.
… I suspect Boris’s brexit plan will involve massive secret payments we won’t ever know about.
Agree.
There might be some sort of token paper Brexit, but down in the small print, the UK will still be forking out. Johnson is one of the fat cats, so nothing will change.
I am afraid that the Northern Ireland situation is a perfect example of how immigration can be a very long term problem.
Naw. Ulster has been trolling the rest of Ireland since before the Battle of Moira. Probably as long as Ireland has been Ireland. Even their oldest legends are all about war between “the men of Ireland” and “the men of Ulster”. Also cattle theft.
One of the main sticking points in Brexit is if there is a Brexit there will no longer free travel between Ireland and Northern Ireland.
That has always been a bullshit argument. There’s nothing stopping a continuing open border between Ireland and North Ireland for the Irish. It’s just “economic migrants” coming through the EU who will find it closed.
I would get shot of Gibraltar for the same reason.
Naw. Gibraltar’s worth keeping if only for trolling the Spanish.
What happened however is that the situation spun out of control with the SNP taking off to a degree that was unanticipated. It is possible that may actually declare UDI in the near future.
Beggars cannot be choosers. Once Scotland realizes they’ll be responsible for their share of the UK national debt, while no longer qualifying for UK welfare money, they’ll vote to stay in. Sure they’ll use the threat of leaving as a bargaining chip for more free shit, but they’d be fools to actually do it. Unless they actually think the EU will bail them out. Fat chance of that happening.
That being said, England would actually be economically much better off without them.
Also, isn’t it funny how the SNP are “patriots” while the UKIP are “nazis”? The fuck is up with that?
I suspect Boris’s brexit plan will involve massive secret payments we won’t ever know about.
Probably. But not because it has to. England can just up and leave and tell the EU to go fuck itself. In fact if the shitheel democrats here weren’t constantly pushing their orange man bad / muh russia / muh ukraine / muh impeachment bullshit, it would be a lot easier for Boris to wave cross Atlantic trade deals in the EU’s face as Britain walks the fuck away.
I have to disagree with you there Side car. We have the Ulster Cycle which illustrates the nature of the Celtic culture that was indigenous to Ireland. The cattle raid of Cooley is a perfect example of how there were different clans under their own kings who shared a common culture but considered themselves enemies and competed for land and cattle. Such cultures are notoriously difficult to subdue (or rather as Machiavelli said easy to conquer but hard to hold). This is because they have a large aristocracy who live only to make war. They are warriors not soldiers. You can quite easily turn one lord on his neighbour and defeat them both but the moment you turn your back they will be allied against you with any other random enemy they can find.
There were other cycles of mythology/ oral history for other kingdoms but it was the Ulster cycle that was best preserved. It doesn’t mean that the men of ulster were any more troublesome than any of the other regions. They were in fact the first we subdued (but that may just have been their proximity to Britain). My point is that the men of all the kingdoms were troublesome but we had most contact with Ulster. The other kingdoms are no longer troublesome but that is because Ulster is unique in that a large number of British protestants were brought in to settle there and they retained a separate cultural identity to the local culture. They are white northern Europeans but the two peoples consider themselves different peoples. The religion is just a flag to fly. Its essentially a race hatred thing even though to outsiders they look the same race.
A woman is like fire -fun to play with, can warm you through and cook your food, needs constant feeding, can burn you and consume all you own
It doesn’t mean that the men of ulster were any more troublesome than any of the other regions.
I’m not saying they were more troublesome. Just that they’ve always been considered not quite Irish, even by other Irish.
it was the Ulster cycle that was best preserved.
The Fenian cycle also holds the Men of Ulster as being something apart from the Men of Ireland within the forces of King Caibre against the Fenians.
Also the Battle of Moira between Ulster and the rest of Ireland wasn’t mythology. It actually happened.
They were in fact the first we subdued (but that may just have been their proximity to Britain).
I believe that was the Normans after they finished with Britain. They weren’t protestants. But the Normans were just one of a succession of westward invasions.
Still, I suspect the differences between Ulster and the rest of Ireland are probably more geologic than geographic. This is definitely the case between England and Scotland, and while I know fuck all about the geology of Ireland, I suspect that geological divide might stretch right across the Irish Sea. It certainly looks that way from google earth. Moreover, being furthest north, Ulster probably changed the most under glaciation. It definitely looks that way from google earth; I’m seeing a hell of a lot of what look like drumlins, but I could be mistaken.
Geology defines an area’s agriculture. Agriculture defines an area’s economy. Economy defines an area’s society.
Its essentially a race hatred thing even though to outsiders they look the same race.
The Men of Ireland didn’t consider the Men of Ulster to be properly Irish. I was once friends with benefits with a welsh chick who didn’t consider the welsh from the next village up to be properly human.
Scots hate the English. Japanese hate Koreans. Hutu haet Tutsi. And on and on.
Racism is one thing. It’s just basic stupid human jackassery defined in terms of skin color. But the worst xenophobia always seems to happen between people who look exactly the same.
Thanks for the history lesson
But this isn’t Lord of the Rings
But this isn’t Lord of the Rings
