I have come to realise why women tend love cats and men tend to love dogs.

It’s because each sees a reflection of themselves in the animal they possess.

Women don’t love men, they love what men have and what they can do for the women. Same as cats. They are only loyal to the food source. But affection etc is conditional on the supply of food. If the cat finds a neighbour with better food they go there. Often never to return if food is continually supplied. A cat is a solitary creature.

Now a dog will never leave his masters side. The dog will starve alongside its master because the dog understands the pack mentality. It is loyal to his pack. Loyal to its master to the end.

The penny just drops sometimes.

My ex lives with her mum. She has 6 cats.

I have some cats that protect my chickens from predatory birds (cats and chickens are free to run around in a fenced run — or to go into the coop if they want — but they don’t roam outside that). So far (3+ years), I’ve never lost a chicken to predators. Lost a few birds due to old age, but that’s another story. A dog would undoubtedly work too, but I have a suspicion that it would take some training to keep the dog from killing the chickens.

My mother actually calls her 15 year old red tiger comical one “her son”.

And I am glad she has company. Or else I would have to visit her too often and endure her negativity.

Good that these cats are there. They do our job.

Yes fair point – we would have a crisi on our hands if it wasn’t for cats keeping the ageing fems in check.

Don’t get me wrong – I accept that some men have cats and some women have dogs – that’s why I used the word TEND in my op. I know it’s just a generalisation and not an absolute.

I like cats and dogs and most all animals, but you are right. Cats are selfish dicks. You can pet a dog anytime and a dog loves his master. A cat will only let you pet it if he wants to be petted. They do serve a purpose if they’re good mousers. I have some feral cats around my place. I don’t feed them, but I do throw some scraps outside sometimes. Hopefully they stick around and kill rodents.

The evil in women’s hearts leaves them no moral bounds as to inhibit them from descending to the lowest levels of darkness to acquire their self entitled desires.

I find it interesting how fast and vicious cats are. Those cat fight videos that you posted show this. When they get into it it’s just a blur of fur with sharp claws and teeth. If they wanted to and were smart enough, I think a pack of cats could kill a man.
