Why do men still desire marriage?

In my opinion, these are some of the misguided reasons why men get married. I sometimes think people view the world as they would like it to be rather than it actually is. The dream to find someone who will love you and take care of you is powerful, but not realistic.
Men get slaughtered in marriage and they usually don’t find love, but strife.

1. Regular sex
2. Emotional support
3. Additional Income
4. Kids
5. Love
6. Share life with someone
7. Men want to be taken care of
8. Some men want to protect someone
9. Find someone to cook and do laundry
10. Peer pressure or family pressure
11. Religious beliefs
12. Ultimatum

If you want love, get a dog. If you want sex, get an escort or a fleshlight. Thanks

With the exception of #10, 11 and 12, all reasons listed can be achieved without marriage.

One of my brothers wanted to do the husband and family thing.. so he got involved with a horrible bossy woman, just to be acceptable. It happens. If marriage could work right, then it is theoretically a good thing, but laws and so on, don’t make it work right now.

Beyond this, there is the whole “put a ring on it” pressure a woman will put on a guy she is involved with to take the relationship serious or something.

Millennials have waken up thanks to feminism and social media plus sex is too easy to come by so no waving the celebency gun around like 50 years ago. The getting old alone trick is females inflicting their fears onto men. Most men still end up alone because of divorce but also have to pay alimony to an old washed up hag, so its a sucker bet! We are at the last phase (social acceptance) is one of the main reason’s I see “when are you gonna settle down,” “I want grand kids” etc. After this phase its a wrap,the life jackets will be ripped off the women’s backs and left to swim alone.
