Every TV show now should be regarded as Fantasy. They are not true to life anymore. More a Politically correct, feminist delusion. The comments to this article even show that we all know this but they still continue to produce shows like this.
I rarely watch TV but do sometimes stream a show if it looks good. As I like Sci-fi I have attempted recently ‘Orphan Black’ ‘The 100’ ‘Dark Matter’ ‘Killjoys’. All had a fairly good synopsis but turned out to be the same drivel.

Women are so bad, if they changed the law so I kept the house, I still wouldn't marry one. I'd rather be homeless.

Seriously. They are incapable of writing intelligent, capable, believable female characters, so they have to resort to surrounding their female characters with a sea of idiot men so they aren’t so obviously mediocre.

It’s like in that awful Ghostcunsters remake. In the original the secretary Janine, played by Annie Potts, was an intelligent, believable, real character. But in the awful remake they had to insert a dumbed down himbo beefcake character just to make the female leads look intelligent (or at least not completely retarded – and they failed).

I will admit, this is one area I overlooked. I was a huge fan of Everybody loves Raymond, I thought it was funny…and I still do. I wish I could find it on YouTube, but like 8 or so years ago Marc Rudov (The No Nonsense Man) did a segment on FOX News stating that he’s sick of women making men on shows and commercials looks like we’re a bunch of idiots and treat men like scum. I agree with him. I’m sick of women thinking we’re a bunch of idiots while they sit around the house watching soap operas all day long.

If men were such idiots, then how come we never had a female president before; I highly doubt Hillary will be it? If we’re such idiots, then who were the ones who built buildings, roads, vehicles, invented technology? Our top richest and most successful people in the world are men. We’re not the stupid ones; we men built, ran this planet and defended boarders from enemy forces. The only true stupid thing that men ever do is get involved with a women from that first date all the way to the altar.

Yeah, we’re only stupid in the eyes of women who never amount to anything in their lives. I bet these are the same women who sit on the couch watching The View every day.

I feel that way about action heroines. I don’t mind an action heroine if she doesn’t feel the need to smack an innocent guy just to look tough – Ms. Jupiter from Watchmen is easily my favourite. Scarlett Johansson’s character from Lucy, however, was not the way to do it; who the hell shoots a taxi driver dead just because he doesn’t speak English? But that’s the more popular tactic now. As it’s been recently discussed, every female-led action movie must now have the mandatory heroine-beats-guy-just for-smarting-off-at-her scene. It seems to be the only way to establish that she’s strong.

I think I’m less committed to avoiding ‘stupid men on tv’ as many of the folks here. For the most part, I ignore most of it and just turn it off when it bores me too much.

Two comments to make on this. First, I think male co-stars commonly get dumbed-down for a lead female because it’s extremely difficult to make the woman seem like a lead otherwise. Unless you can come up with some artificial situation where the woman has to lead then how else do you do it? In the latest ghostbusters, there is no way the male secretary character would just stand by and watch 4 out of shape women go do dangerous dirt work, or that they wouldn’t ask him to do it, unless he was an absolute moron.

Second comment….I keep thinking back regarding the feminist complaint about women’s depiction as a sex object in video games again comparing it to this complaint about a man’s depiction as a moron. There have been studies that show that video games don’t change a man’s view on women. Would it not follow that tv doesn’t change a woman’s view on a man? Instinctively, I feel that the 2 scenarios are different, but I cannot place exactly what it is. Perhaps it’s just because men are more prone towards rational thought, while women are emotion and manipulation. In other words, men separate fantasy from reality, while women view fantasy as a lens to interpret reality. Women are more prone to follow that popular opinion shapes reality. You are strong and independent if you believe and other’s believe it to be true, it does not matter if you have a huge dependency on men if no one sees or acknowledges it.

Oh, I forgot to mention. Mainstream liberal media should be dead now, with only 5-10% of the population believing the “news” is factual or reliable. The reason MSNBC, CNN and other narrative spewing 1 sided channels are kept alive is by PACKAGES the cable and satellite companies. I cut the cord. Between over the air, Netflix, and YouTube I can watch on my terms.

The other night, I flipped through a network sitcom. It took them less than 30 seconds to offend me.

Out came the Chromebook then I went straight to YouTube via Chromecast where I watched an excellent documentary on the saga behind the development of the F-104 Starfighter. The longest production fighter aircraft in history 1954-1983. Men solving vexing problem after problem. It was Kelly Johnson’s brainchild and a radical design.

I also read where DISH lost 281,000 customers last quarter. Normal is about 80,000. People are getting fed up with it.

I agree, certainly to the younger generation. I watched one of those making men look silly ads on youtube once. Can’t remember the exact ad but a Mother made a note in the comment section. “My 6 year old son said…That man is really silly. Will I be stupid when I grow up?”
This is a worry. If you’re male, raised by a single mother feminist, educated through to university and watch a lot of TV you’re pretty much f~~~ed. I take my hat of to those younger guys who see through the s~~~.

It’s actually kind of a chicken and egg problem. The media exists purely to make money and give people what they want. The people want this stuff and consume it.

You need to understand the vast majority of men are blue pill and the vast majority of women are feminists. They eat this stuff up. They will fight and argue with you if you think something is wrong with it.

Nobody intelligent watches TV or bothers arguing at all. At some point people smarten up and just go their own way.

And this isn’t a new phenomena. Even when I was a young child, I’d always noticed the elites of society, the adults with the best jobs and who were the smartest seemed to have no idea what was going on in sports and entertainment. Especially politicians, they’d come out rarely in the local team’s colors, in gear that obviously was never worn, and not even know who the players were. They had more important things to do. Not a one knew any TV shows or anything else. In terms of news, they’d only watch a few news anchors at all. ABC News I remember only in the biggest events ever seemed to matter one tiny bit.

No, it isn’t. It’s at the same difficulty as making a strong male lead. Anime has strong female leads in it all the time without dumbing down male characters.

Some of these shows include:

Black Lagoon, Kill La Kill, One Piece, Fairy Tail, Mirai Nikki, Ghost In The Shell, Ergo Proxy, and Hellsing Ultimate.

Just take this scene in Kill La Kill: (I’m using this as a reference because I’m currently trying to finish the series)

In this scene, we have two strong female leads without having the need to put down male leads.

And then, in the same series, we have the main female lead, losing an actual battle to a male character.

This is why I can’t stand most modern western media. It’s plagued with feminism and it would rather put down male characters in order to pedalize female characters. Examples include: Wonder Woman, Ghostcunsters, The Hunger Games, etc.

The female leads never end up losing battles or winning battles by their own merits like in Kill La Kill. They just end up demonizing male leads and making them look stupid as possible like in Family Guy/Everybody Loves Raymond.

This is why I turned off my TV and barely even watch it. I’d much rather watch anime/non-western media/classic media than to have to watch feminist propaganda.

Once you have a Fleshlight real vaginas become worthless.
