Legit question, and if you want to specify the city you are in, maybe local members would be interested, but you didn’t say. Maybe say what city and someone will respond or send you a private message. MGTOW doesn’t do group conferences or meetings like the MRAs, but a few bros connecting for some beers and billiards could be fun.

Keymaster would be in a unique position to know who is real and who is a fake utilizing past posts. Categorizing by state province, city, etc. would be an initial step to move us towards this initiative.
Such a thing could be done on skype.

There is a chatroom, but you have to be an actual paying member to get access. Keeps jerks out.
Keymaster would be in a unique position to know who is real and who is a fake utilizing past posts. Categorizing by state province, city, etc. would be an initial step to move us towards this initiative.
You mean verify us? I don’t think he would do that. Our privacy is confidential; there is no ‘verification’.. its all too much a risk.
If there is a MGTOW meet-up, it should be for anything EXCEPT mgtow…you know, like a disguised meet-up. How about a meet-up for activists fighting against issues related to prostate cancer or something ike that? Something that doesn’t really hit the news.
The risk should be analyzed before-hand; and if people do meet, it should be in a covert situation.

I would give the idea of a MGTOW gathering a thumbs-DOWN.
I have actually been treated more cruelly by so-called MGTOW than any of my ex-girlfriends and their s~~~ combined.
How should I treat the MGTOW genre who:
*Called me a F~~~~~ because I disagreed with their opinion that being MGTOW means f~~~ing everything in sight that has a skirt on without any regards to the risks of unwanted pregnancies or STD’s or false-rape allegations.
*Hacked into my Facebook account and posted pictures of my sisters in a group while making little posts about how they look like experienced blow-job whores just because they found themselves on the losing end of what was a healthy debate with me.
*The MGTOW group admins who simply posted “LOL” to these degrading posts and refused to kick the f~~~ing bastard out of the group because he thinks the pictures were funny.
*The MGTOW group founder who kicked me out of his Facebook group because I told him that going to my JOB and making money to pay the bills was more important than staying in front of the computer all day being unemployed and “contributing to the group” by posting videos of drunk chicks and mind-numbing pornography.
*The MGTOWs who all agreed with the group founder that I’m not MGTOW enough just because I won’t participate in the group more and that I’m turning back into “blue pill status” because of it.
*The MGTOWs who sent me hate mail because I still happen to believe in God, so they call me “blue pill” for attending church because they strictly believe that MGTOW is strictly an “atheists only” group and people with any spiritual or religious faith should be banned from it.If I had to meet up with any of these “MGTOW” in person, I’d be snapping their f~~~ing necks or setting fire to their cars with them still trapped inside.
You wouldn’t want a MGTOW reunion/gathering when the ONLY thing us guys have in common is avoiding marriage with women, so with that in mind, we’re allowed to bicker and fight among each other because since we’re avoiding women like the plague, there’s no one else to fight with.
I thought MGTOW used to mean something different: A group of men who all would stand up for each other against the hate-bashing and judgments from the rest of the world just because we’re not doing what society wants, so we’re considered “brothers-in-arms.”I figured out different once I got my 50th hate mail from some fellow MGTOW calling me “gay”, “f~~~~~”, “prude”, or “blue-pill mangina” just because they want to bash me online.
You wouldn’t want me in a public gathering with any of you guys. It’s best that we just stick to being online for the time being so I don’t have to cross off people’s names on my “To Kill” list.

You got put through the Internet Drama Mill at a MGTOW Facebook page? And the actions of those Facebook members are why you’ve no interest in meeting the members here?

You’ve your reasons and they only need to work for you. After all, this is all about men going their own way.
Some of us here are going to go our own way too. Sometime in the future, a small or large number of us may or may not meet up somewhere for dinner or drinks. You can choose to join us or not.
Whatever you choose, however, is fine with me.

That was a GREAT post (as far as I am concerned) — for more reasons than you know.
Let me rewind a few years.
I ,too, was shut out from a MGTOW online/ discussion group/forum – before I even got a single chance to post. Not only was I not permitted to participate , but I submitted a short intro – TWICE – and they actually banned me for NOT A SINGLE reason – or communication – about it, no matter how hard I tried to wrap my brain around what I could have possibly said to warrant this kind of reception.
Not only could I not join, but I was not even permitted to visit anymore.
Much like the enthusiasm our members have when they arrive and leave a VOLUNTARY introduction expressing their delight at finding us….. I was thrilled, and the door was brutally slammed in my face.
But I was not angry as you are. I was sad. Very, very saddened. In my opinion this is the WORST thing you can do. Slam the door in a genuine MGTOW’s face. I know what it takes to get here, and when a man is standing at the door asking to be let in, you don’t do that.
He’s been shut out and shot down too many times already.
That’s WHY he’s here in the first place.And then one day not long after, I happened across Barbarossa on youtube. I saw his video asking for someone’s help to create an “online archive of MGTOW / Manosphere content”. I (we) offered to assist with that with such enthusiasm, but there was no reply. I learned from him directly that he didn’t remember, which is fine. I wouldn’t blame anyone for thinking we didn’t have the ability or skills to do it – or even if they questioned our intent.
But the reception was not a warm one. Not even a cold one.
So I said “If we build it, they will come”. And sure enough that’s what happened.We opened her 2 months after that forum shut down. And again, the reception from the community was not a good one – or a bad one really. It was virtually non-existent. I would have thought the reception to be OVERWHELMINGLY positive. Like “HEY!!! You guys! This is AWESOME!!” But that took a long time.
The reception we got was :
• “Who are you guys and what are you up to?” (questioning our motives)
• “I don’t need a manifesto” (referring to the old MGTOW Manifesto which we first posted on the about page)
• And “Are you Paul Elam? Are you Sandman?”I don’t blame them for asking that, but when they got answer, we didn’t hear from them again. And when we carefully rewrote the about page to something succinct, we never heard “boo” about it again. Nobody from the MGTOW sphere has ever pushed back on anything we’ve done here – which Is rather surprising because MGTOW are a tough crowd.
They will chew you up and spit you out before you have a chance to even TRY a fragment of horses~~~. So I suppose what I like about MGTOW, I originally did NOT like about MGTOW either.
I was treated like “blue-pill mangina troll” as well. But I’m not.
I was just… misunderstood.In this space and method of communication, that’s too easily done.

It took 10 months before Barb made an introduction and I JUMPED to chat with him on Skype. It was an unbelievable thrill to hear from him and speak with him. Nobody else reached out (except AVFM) but we had sensed some real tension between them and another MGTOW forum…. and we were totally unaware of it.
( AVFM didn’t even really EXIST to us, and we really didn’t understand the friction that existed – certainly not to the extent others did. So I agree with you, it’s not a “friendly” bunch at first glance, and there is much palpable friction to be found. )
Barb asked us to create an theatrical intro for his channel (on a Friday), and I stayed up personally to finish it sending to him on Sunday morning at 5AM. He loved it, and we were glad to give it to him – no charge or anything – and in exchange we hoped he might join and make an intro. He joined, but hadn’t been in touch since….. except to request a high resolution still of the fighter jet we created for him.
Days before we opened, I actually had a pleasant exchange with Sandman and sent him a video which he loved. The banned Toyota Commercial “Men getting their own way”. It was a Tuesday morning and we commented, and then he commented …. but when MGTOW.COM opened, we never heard from him. Or Stardusk – in spite of my running over to thank him for his impact he made on many lives.
If there is one thing we are not in a position to do, it’s criticize MGTOW for “going their own way” because that’s the whole point, but we were not expecting “nothing” or complete radio silence. Certainly not from the youtube gents. We actually worked weeks to showcase and “frame” them here.
After a while, some veterans (Zuberi Tau, Cap , Plato (the first poster here), Beja Flor and many others) heard my story , spoke of nearly identical experiences with that “other forum” and it was GREAT to see them here. It meant more to me than I can express.

I also saw the face-book group that has a “leader” who calls himself “Dave” or something. With something like “6 levels of MGTOW”. I wouldn’t consider being ousted from that group as any indication or measure of anything.
Eventually Shining Light and Messenger (very new at the time – not even a MGTOW for a full year yet) reached out to have a Google hangout. It was scheduled to be a introduction for about an hour, and I was pretty sure we could expect some tough questions.
….. but it turned into SEVEN HOURS and we had a GREAT time.
I laughed until I cried. Not kidding. A few weeks later, we connected again, this time with Niko Choski and it an another entire day flew by. It was better than ANY first date I was ever on. I couldn’t hang up. The most “fun” I had in a long time. Belly aches. Our faces hurt from laughing. It was like meeting my brothers I never met for the first time. I can’t even describe it any other way.
You wouldn’t want me in a public gathering with any of you guys. It’s best that we just stick to being online for the time being so I don’t have to cross off people’s names on my “To Kill” list.
I’m very sorry to hear that. But I will say that I certainly understand it more than perhaps you realize. I know that if I met many of our members here, the feeling would be overwhelming, and nothing could make me smile more. When we shake hands, I would have a tough time letting go. I know this, because when they “go their own way”, it actually hollows me out a little. I am more connected to them than I even imagined possible.

But that will never change completely what some of your members choose to be when they choose to treat each other with disrespect. And I’d hate to see that kind of behavior in person.
I think it’s just better that we stick to an online forum instead of seeing each other in person and literally having it spark into a war of hate against each other in the end.

We don’t ask for anything other than a valid deliverable email. But I am (and I think you would also be ) surprised when members write to us , almost 100% of them use (or sign) their real names. At least a real first name. Even the hardcore MGTOW. I am able to say “Good morning Tim / Jack / John” in response to them. It’s terrific that they trust like that.
I’m SO f~~~ing honored to call you guys members.
Our members can enter a city / state / country if they wish. It’s optional just like anything else you volunteer about yourself. Eventually, when enough do, we could be in a position to drop a geo Pin on a map and mark “other MGTOW in your area”. But in order to develop this, more members would have to do it. Then we would ask “do you guys want us to create this?” and if the general vote is YES, we would also build in the ability to NOT display yourself.
Then members could ping each other and say “Hey I’m in your town! Do you want to shoot some billiards?”. Or not.
So it’s a wait and see kind-of-thing right now.
Otherwise, you can private message or start a thread for this sort of thing.A member I am very fond of has connected with me and I plan to meet him when Im in his hood. And another put his location down and I plan to reach out to him too. I already expressed interest in that.

That’s what I love about this place. Everyone here is more welcoming than any other MGTOW website I’ve found in the past which I absolutely love.
I’d never leave a place like this. Someone would have to pry this place from my cold dead hands before I ever let go of a place such as this.

But I knew what kind of characters MGTOW have: “good people”.
Fundamentally GOOD people.The way these guys show up to welcome new members un prompted, and look out for the site’s best interest? S~~~ leaves me speechless on a daily basis.
We get emails at 2AM about a minor concern. They CARE. I can’t sing about it enough.

I never got why forums have mandatory intros. I’ve participated in quite a few forums in the past and they never required them.
I always thought intros meant more if people gave them willingly. Not because it was one of the website’s rules.
The members here are definitely great. I wouldn’t have a problem meeting anyone of them outside of this website.

We have a PRIVATE live chat forum, available to Ghost and Galt members. After some time I noticed it could use some better featured like knowing who is in it (right now it doesn’t display that) So we began on a MUCH better version 2 coming as soon as we are able. It’s also got cooler abilities but it’s all custom built and needs to be “hooked” into our members so it reflects OUR ACTUAL members (with avatars) and not just “guests”.
We’re working on it. But /chat/ is where you can have at it about anything, squabble, argue, joke, talk s~~~, work things out, whatever. It’s just not public. But the next version will be vastly better. (patience please)
