Marriage is a contract between yourselves and the State. Easy to get into but a f~~~ to get out of.

If the State doesn’t like the way you bring up your kids, it will remove them.

I believe marriage was always bad, bad for women until the advent of the no fault divorce and birth control pills. Then it all flipped with unintended consequences.

Even in the past when women don’t have the right to vote, women can access more resource in marriage as opposed to staying single.

Marriage 100+ years ago worked. Why? Because the women were kept under control and weren’t allowed to f~~~ over the men. It was a good arrangement for all concerned. Things were affordable enough that only a man had to work and he could support a wife and a couple of kids. If the woman acted like a f~~~ing slut or was a total bitch to him, he BEAT THE F~~~ING S~~~ OUT OF HER. Solved that little problem.

He provided the financial security while she took care of the household and the kids. Things weren’t like this by accident. This is how things HAD to be in order to make things work and keep the f~~~ing bitch under control. It speaks volumes that this is what we men had to do to prevent women from being bitchy f~~~ing whores.

Men have honor and integrity, but women only understand personal gain. If she slept around or didn’t do her wifely duties (which included sex – NO EXCEPTIONS), she was thrown out on the street or beaten. If they left him, they would end up with NOTHING, so there was an actual reason to be a decent f~~~ing human being and stay loyal to their husbands.

We men are honorable and most of us held up our end of the bargain. But women need to be controlled otherwise they’ll return to their natural behavior. Women had it easy. All they had to do was cook and clean and spread their legs when their husband wanted some pussy and they never had to worry about ANYTHING.

Now we have washing machines, dish washers, vacuum cleaners, and disposable toilet bowel cleaners. If marriage was still done in the traditional way, women would have the BEST DEAL EVER. But they f~~~ed it up and even that’s not good enough for them anymore. They completely deserve what they have nowadays.

Nowadays they have to actually work and try to trap a man. In the past, a man was guaranteed and they would NEVER be expected to work. If they hadn’t f~~~ed things up, they could literally work for 1 hour a day and have everything given to them on a silver platter. They wouldn’t be allowed to buy all the bulls~~~ they want, but they’d be taken care of. F~~~, I’d take that deal any day of the week if I were a woman.

Do you realize in these days there is no government overseeing that women have to stay in marriage.

Women can take the kids (If they want) and run off anywhere without the government interfering. She only need to do it before the husband realize something is wrong.

Maybe your country is different and actually have government forcing people to stay in marriage? In that case do you realize it is a two way street? What about the men who are with abusive women? In the olden times, there is no lack of abusive women too. Japanese government spokeswomen also confirm that.

My parents have been together 49 years.

The old man has had a rough ride, worked to the bone, my mum likes to think she works as hard, but as far as hours logged not even in the same leauge.

She can put a decent meal on the table 5 nights a week, keep the house clean, and managed to bring up me and my bro to be decent men with our own free will.

They are a fairly common story from the boomer generation, although when I was in my teens I sensed a cold divide between them. Lucky things have movd on and they made it through the next 20 years with their sanity and are settling into retirement.

Problem is, I notice so many divorces, seems like it’s in vogue.

So as far as is it a good deal? Dads worked his whole life, mum not as much, they both enjoy time together, but seem to live life mostly within the walls of their home or at work.

They did their travelling in the 60s/70s, but the rest has been an ongoing chapter – eat, sleep, work repeat. Do the family thing, with the odd activities and catch up with friends, and some booze for good times.

I’m glad they are happy, but I see my gen X, Y, and now the millennials failing to launch, getting priced out of property and or just using social media to monkey branch and validate their existence to a picture of a person on fakebook.

Granted, I wasn’t old enough to experience this. But I at least perceive that marriages back in the 40s / 50s were somewhat better. The man went to work and supported the family the wife kept the home/looked after the kids and for the most part did what she was directed to. The man basically had the power. Now however that’s obviously not the case, women have the power, they have legal on their side, they’re too busy trying to be men than be women. As for the future, I’d say that unless things more and more intelligent men will be disinterested in tying the knot and procreating. Which is fine, the plane is over populated and there’s not enough economy to support everyone so we could certainly use a significant population drop-off anyway.
