It’s not so much a matter of bias as one of honesty. Corporate and state media have and will continue to straight up lie in their reporting both by omission and by fabrication.

Independent small news outlets on the internet, on the other hand, are far more reliable, including ones that openly declare their bias, because they generally back their reporting with facts and reason. They do this because they know they are going to be fact checked up the ass by other small news sources with opposing biases. They’re not large enough, entrenched enough, or flush with corporate / state cash to simply declare themselves “the most trusted”. They have to deliver.

For all that they are liars, pranksters, the assholes of the internet, and a wretched hive of scum and villainy, even the autists over at /b/ are more trustworthy (after fact checking) than RT or MSNBC or the like.
