Also, Trump is a businessman who likes making money. He’s not a politician who goes around killing his enemies or destroying their lives. And honestly, the reason we are all disappointed in him so far is because he is not becoming the ruthless dictator we hired him to be. There’s no blood yet. No “special prosecuter”, etc…

Turned out he is soft, with a big heart, and doesn’t want to arrest literally everyone in government. However, now that he has ordered his first kill, maybe he will be the president we want him to be, and actually become the law and order candidate he said he would be.

Curiously, when Reagan was president, it was crickets when Iraq used mustard gas on the Iranians. And Bechtel (when George Schultz was an executive) had no trouble selling the mustard gas to Saddam to use.

I remember a decade ago General Wesley Clark saying the US was going to overthrow Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, and Iran. It is funny how the Deep State’s plans keep running, no matter who is President.

With regards to false flag operations and such, I ask myself one question “Cui bono?” (Who benefits).

Who benefits from killing 70 people with poison gas? Will a one-off usage of poison gas somehow make Assad win the war, when he is already winning, or does it constitute a risk to his rule because it could provoke the US into attacking him? If one is winning, does it make sense to take risks that could result in you being annihilated, when all you have to do is keep doing what you were doing before and you will win anyway?

I wouldn’t put it past the Turks to use poison gas. This whole Assad-gassing-civilians doesn’t pass the sniff test. We all know he’s a bad guy, but he’ll only do bad things when he thinks it will benefit him. And if he is removed, are we going to put 200,000 troops down forever in Iraq, to ensure that the religious minorities in Syria that Assad current keeps safe (Allawites, Shiites, Druze, Christians, etc) are not genocided?

It looks to me that this was some sort of test to see what Trump would do. I’d say Russia is behind this, as it’s good for them.

So Putin tell Assad to do this. If Assad refuses, Putin pulls some of his support away. Putin wants to force Trump to make a move. If Trump does nothing, then Trump’s enemies will happily state “Trump is in bed with Putin! See, we told you! It’s true!”. And Trump is weaker. If Trump retaliates as he did, then he loses some of the base that don’t want to the US to be the police. Trump looks like he’s no different than any other US president. Hell Republicans in congress are complaining that Congress didn’t sign off first, and the democrats will always twist it around to be bad for Trump. If Putin is lucky, this could even get Trump impeached.

The only way this was a bad move for Russia is if the UN got off their ass and did something about it, which everyone knows wasn’t going to happen. Even if the UN did do something, it wasn’t going to be that much of a problem for Russia.

Overall, I don’t know that Trump had much choice in this. However, he can’t be done making moves. Really, what’s needed now is for some other to take leadership on this issue. We can support the effort, but we can’t lead, and we can’t be the main source of funds. But what other country is going to do that? What other country has ever done that? Can he somehow build…negotiate an alliance that will work for us.

Trump clearly didn’t create this problem, he’s inherited it after decades of foreign policy. I don’t know how he can fix it.

They said it was the Assad regime, but it turned out it was most likely the Turkish Secret Service MIT togehter with Al Nusra.
