I am sure we have all noticed these past few weeks that there has been a fair bit of disharmony in the MGTOW ranks which seems to correlate with an explosion of new users and the choice of topics they write about.
I know that a number of us suspect that some or more of the active new members may actually be tuna/trollers.
I am not going to single out members or threads that have piqued the MGTOW alarm bells but most of us seem to have a handle on who they are and what they post.
So this has got me thinking about what it is the trollers are trying to achieve.
And I think they might be achieving their aims.
Setting up an account and immediately criticing or asking questions designed to provoke an immediate response that ‘incriminates’ us is ineffective and the trollers know it. They are immediately identified and immediately punted.
I think they have cottoned on so employ more long term tactics which are to initially ingratiate themselves then once comfortable and around long enough to work out what sort of characters we appear to be they purposely choose topics to write about that pit member against member.
I have noticed that members who usually get on well siding with some and against others. The worry with that sort of tactic is that it can and potentially will divide us into factions that will potentially create in groups and out groups within our community.
It appears to be happening more and more.
So I am urging all of you who value this place. New members as well as you older members, put your differences to one side.
Recognise the threads that pit member against member and do not engage. We need to unite and show the trollers we are solid. A group they can’t divide.
We can have our differences but we can’t let them boil over into the disharmony that is causing us to lose valuable members.
I beleive that is precisely what the Tuna/trollers want.
They want to see us fight because they can select the content that paints us in a bad light.
They want to see members leave because they dismantle us one member at a time.
The days of coming on here and condemning us may be over because they are adopting longer term strategies. And they know what topics to talk about that will cause the greatest divisions.
They are baiting us and we appear to bite.
We need to let them know that WE know what they are doing. The methods they employ and the aims they hope to achieve.
We can send them a message that tells them we are on to them and we will defeat them.
But to do that me must stop the infighting.
I urge you all to turn your sword outwards. Stand firm.
It wouldn’t surprise me if a lot of the newbie idiot trolls are just trad con losers. I’ve seen other MGTOW forums, specifically on facebook that are filled with trad cons who advocate for putting women back in the kitchen etc… A lot of them are just butt hurt blue pillers too. They have no intention of walking away or going their own way. They are just blue pill raging (if that could even be considered a term) because they want their fairytale still but aren’t getting it.
I think when something starts to get bigger, such as MGTOW, it becomes less disciplined overall. Off shoots of MGTOW might not be as educated about what MGTOW actually means. Some trad con might mistakenly believe we are fighting to put women back in their places etc (which I’ve seen) when nothing could be farther from the truth. The problem is that he now thinks he is MGTOW and goes around spreading his infected view of MGTOW. Then we get dildos coming here not knowing what it’s all about and they will naturally clash with some of our more disciplined members. In other words, MGTOW is getting co oped by other groups that aren’t MGTOW.
This reminds me of the surge in membership that the libertarian party got over the past couple elections cycles. A lot of the new “members” were actually just angry republicans who were mad at the state of the republican party at that time. They s~~~-lorded the libertarian forums with their infected version of libertarianism and hurt the image of the party.
