@MG-Tower – as I said, it definitely feels like that, and I certainly think we are headed toward some sort of social collapse. China’s economy is stalling, and economically that’s what is holding up the world (imo). When the economy tanks, we won’t have the strong social structures to support us – thanks, feminism – and we will have the Jihad knocking at our doors. But that just means chaos in 20-50 years, and a Dark Age so to speak – it doesn’t necessarily mean the parousia.
BUT… we could also look at it hopefully. In 20 years we could have people living on Mars! I haven’t given up hope yet.

I’m quite comfortable with this as the path to eternal life – keep the commandments, poverty, and follow Jesus. What say you G_T? Would you give a different answer to Jesus?
(BTW, this is why I react so belligerently against Christians who misrepresents the Catholics – people can disagree with us, but they should never bear false witness. Likewise with the Marian stuff – I believe Jesus honoured his father and his mother. But that’s a separate issue, my point is just that I get concerned for people who do that).

Revelations is revealing itself like an atomic clock! Can you tell me what’s going to happen in 2000+ years? Even down to the rebuilding of the temple on the mount. They have everything they need already duplicated, just waiting to move in! Jesus doesnt ask any questions here, only gives answers.
What I noticed is that Jesus only named the 5 commandments about neighbor love.

So what I get out of it, that the man is keeping the first 5 commandments right there already.

The head of the Catholic Church is Jesus – the Pope would be the first one to tell you that. But yes, we have teachers.
So, are we contradicting Scripture? This is one of the problems of just throwing Scriptures out there to attack other folks, you really have to read and understand them first.
Is it wrong to call people Father? Jesus called Abraham Father, and there are many instances of the Apostles being Fathers to their flocks – Paul famously says, “Even if you had ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.” (1 Cor 4:15, NIV) Is Paul lying? Does he not know Jesus’ teachings? The same can be said of teachers – the Epistles refer to the importance of teachers on numerous occasions, eg “And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues.” (1 Cor 12:28 NIV)
So what does Jesus mean? As elsewhere, including several passages you’ve already quoted, Jesus is criticising the institutional religion of his day, which heavily involved ‘teachers of the law’ (aka sages, scribes, lawyers etc in different translations). These fell broadly into two camps – the camp of Hillel and the camp of Shammai – and they squabbled and contradicted each other over the meaning of Scripture.
Call me a Papist, but replacing them with the camps of Luther and Calvin doesn’t sound like the way to go to me. We are not called to squabble over Scripture, but to follow what has been taught authoritatively. That is what set Jesus apart from his contemporaries, he spoke with authority: “When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.” (Matt 7:28-29). Likewise the Church he established was to teach authoritatively, not just squabble over the meaning of Scriptures (see my previous comments on Church authority).
As for Fathers – similar idea. “Father” was the title of institutional Prophets (see 1 Sam 10:12 etc). While we still have the (very important) charismatic gift of prophecy, Jesus is telling us we should not be following this or that prophet, so if someone pops up – a Joseph Smith or an Ellen Gould White or a Mohammed – and says, “hey, I’ve got new prophecy! Look at me!” we know not to look. The institutional idea of career prophets was demolished by this teaching.

I don’t measure a man’s faith by any ruler or measuring cup. I could be misjudging him as who am I to judge? The worst of the worst can become the best of the best with spiritual knowledge. All I can do is shine the light in my own dark part of this world without arrogantly shining it in the eyes of others (rather than on the path to safety). The worst thing a man can become is a fanatical religious zealot, going around judging and condemning others while being damned himself… (wolfs).
The one thing I really admire about Jesus is his unwavering loyalty, gone to hell and back for mankind’s account…. No better friend than that!…
And that’s why I’m still here (been to hell and back).

Gods Kingdom comes after the end of the world and the NT says that Christ will rule as a King. The Revelation and the NT say that Jesus is a gift from god, but not a gift like MGTOW and the NT doesnt encourage you to keep going as usual.
I hope I got you thinking and curious to read the whole NT and the whole Revelation…This is my last post on MGTOW at least for a long time…but probably forever. So Im really trying to help, because I see you have potential because your heart is open basically.

When reading the bible there are 2 family trees.
A secular one and a godly one. That to your question about Jesus/Abraham. Jesus said that he was before Abraham.I joined MGTOW really for the insights with women and not for missionary work… but my belief in god is so much stronger now and I learned all I need to know about women here in the first weeks and for what I want to do now, an online forum is not the right place for me personnally I think after what I experienced now.

I was insinuating the “door” you choose to walk out of, leaving the forums because the deep end of the pool chisels pieces and chunks of your faith, but you fail to realize you’re being sculpted here in the deep end of the pool. and much is lost in translation, also, questioning the authenticity of another mans faith is a trap in time, meaning you do not, and can not know the outcome of another persons life, the appointed time of a persons faith is something god determines, we were chosen before time began. My faith is rock solid, I’ve been through the furnace of Jobe! And never have I surrendered the truth for a lie, I stood firm when I knew I was supposed to, hit with false criminal charges, unnatural orders of conduct, and overwhelmingly pressured by others to conspire against the law, participate in contempt of court, and to endanger the lives, property, and safety of others…

Its very well possible that what I said so far on MGTOW leads to misunderstandings and is partly incorrect.
So therefore dont take it as the truth what I posted on MGTOW…none of it…it was the truth for me at that point though.Mainly investigating Pauls actions leads my to my new understanding that alot of his teachings DONT come from god.
I just did a research and alot of thinking and it turned out that Paul was maybe or probably not inspired by god…

Yah, it’s good to see you’re still around GT. But seriously, dude, ditch the ‘Mithraism’ and all the rest of that nonsense. You’re called by God to follow his Word, not to explain why everyone else is wrong. Or to put it another way, if you share the joy of your faith with others, and they don’t listen, well, shake the dust off your cloak and move on. If you spend all your time dwelling on false religions like Mithraism, or whatever, you are walking dangerous ground because you are letting that into your life. And for what? To show someone how wrong they are? How many people ever listen and admit it? “Don’t answer a fool in his folly” as Scripture says. The wise man keeps the heck away from the fool.
