What you need is an advanced perimeter detection system fully integrated with the CCTV and video management system.
LOL!! That was what Bush 43 claimed to do, and that went nowhere.
At least with a physical barrier there are options.
Why do you care about what happens on the U.S.-Mexican border?
At least with a physical barrier there are options.
Faust I used to work in the security industry specifying systems for NATO basis, Power stations, national stadiums, shopping centres, prisons, hospitals, airports etc
Why did you only quote part of what I said would be required in the system.
A wall on its own will not solve the problem as people which just tunnel underneath it as the drug cartels do now.
A physical barrier on it’s own is almost never effective in any environment.
Largely due to the difficult terrain much of the border between India and Pakistan relies on 4 laser walls.
As I said the laser detection is there to alert the patrols based in the watch towers which would be needed even with a wall.

And why do you think there are not options with perimeter protection?
I would actually build both a wall and perimeter protection as many prisons do.
Faust you are arrogant beyond belief, I’ve told you so many times lose the snide opening lines and just state your opinion.

What you need is an advanced perimeter detection system fully integrated with the CCTV and video management system.
This is regularly used in prisons, ports, airports and some borders.
Build a watch tours and then you have laser detectors which emit pulses of infra redlaser which creates a shadow when crossed by an object which alerts the PTZ (pan tilt zoom) camera and sends an alert to the nearest watch tower. It all integrates with white light led and infrared illumination units for the cameras.
Any wall can be climbed over or tunelled under as happens now.

A wall is a foundation to work from. Half the people that see a while give up their plans to go over it. That is half the job done there.
Nobody said the border wall on the U.S.-Mexican was the end all to be all of the plan. The border wall is only the start of the plan.

Pakistan and India have their armies stationed on the borders with each other. Those two nations are under a ceasefire situation and they have almost started World War III a few times.
No one sane is going to cross that Pakistan-India border without permission from the governments of both nations, because if they do try to cross that border in secret they are going to get shot by one or both armies.

That is all well and good if people monitoring them can respond within minutes. But, that is not the case on the U.S.-Mexican border.

Why are you against a border wall.

You do mention those options in your first post. You only talked out perimeter monitoring.

I genuinely found you first post on this thread to be funny because your suggestion was already tried and it did not work because the U.S. Border Patrol could not reach those locations in time.
When seconds matter, the police are minutes away.
But, that is not the case on the U.S.-Mexican border.
Well it isn’t now but with watch towers laser detection etc it would be.

I am going to say this again.
This was already tried and did not work because the U.S. officials could not reach those locations in time.
By the way, I do not come from a standpoint of arrogance, but humor. I laugh at things because I really do not want to cry.
When you made suggestions that were already tried in the U.S., I laughed because I did not want to cry.
When the border monitoring was tried on the U.S.-Mexican border, it did not just fail, it had an epic fail. The border patrol even at one point put the monitoring cameras on the internet for people to watch. People watched, so border crossing, called the border patrol office where they were put on hold. Soon after the whole situation was considered a sick joke at the expense of the American people.

Anonymous12Just have a Feminist welcoming committee at the border. That would stop them….
Drone patrol would be more feasible, cheaper and manageable with night vision. A wall, people will find a way around. Besides, more people cross the boarder illegally through Canada than Mexico.

You forget how feminists view criminal invaders. They drop their pants and been over the criminals. That would only increase the people crossing the border.

It’s a lot more than just cameras Faust, you’ll notice I talked about manned watched towers with video walls, armed response units and input output module sending alerts to the towers, or all towers and drone bases it’s all relatively easy to do.
The laser detectors send out a pulse when the pulse is broken the shadow picked up enables them to know exactly where along the 500 meters stretch the intruder is.
If they tried it before and couldn’t respond quick enough then whoever designed and built the system did not know what they were doing, which should not surprise anyone when governments are involved.
Regarding the India Pakistan border it was actually very easy for people to cross undetected because much of the border is a mountain range that was why they built the 4 laser walls to alert people so they can shoot them.

A reasonable assumption but generally speaking not actually true in practice, understand that I worked in this industry for much of my life and you’d be amased at the % and of people who go to amazing levels of ingenuity to get across borders and breaking in or out of buildings and facilities.
The pyshical deterrance effect is actually minimal as it is with camera-cameras are used for a different reason all together.

The best option is:
SKY-0’s
Implied Sponsorship Law
(Which you won’t hear the US Congress or Senate discuss because my state senators and congressmen ignore my phone calls & letters)
If / when an employer is found to be employing an illegal alien:
They then receive a bill from the government for the related costs of that illegal immigrant (and family members) being in the country – illegally.
The bill will include but is not limited to:
Medical care cost assessment (annual estimated per illegal employee)
A fixed amount to account for prison and jail funding
Additional surcharges for public school costs for the number of dependents the illegal has
$25,000 penalty / fine
Etc, etc, etc
Take away the jobs and all of the hardworking (LOL) illegals will go back home to make their third world s~~~ holes great again (#MTWSGA)
And. . .
Good riddance.
