I go to this one store often, and in the parking lot is a busted up old car with an old man who lives in it. The car has never moved as far as I know, and the guy who lives in it is in his early to mid seventies. The city is kind enough to not run him off as he has been there for several years now. He sleeps in the front seat as it is a very small car, thankfully he is just a tiny old many now and does not need much room. I see this guy about twice a week, and it reminds me of how my country has failed it’s men. Women and the Government use us up then we are left to the streets or our cars as we attempt to pay alimony, child support, age, are disabled, or come back from wars not in our interest with demons we can’t shake.

I have bought this man lunch twice, and even took him shopping once for stuff he needed. Cool old guy, I have never asked him his story, and he doesn’t seem to care to tell it, I think I will leave it that way as I can guess that no matter how he got there the system likely failed him one way or another.

My country, once a great nation, has more and more homeless men out there by the day, I have seen it increase steadily in my lifetime, especially after 2008. Many of the circular highway on and off ramps have tents and cardboard houses in them now, nothing like this existed when I was a kid, I almost feel like we broke off into an alternate world after 2001, cause s~~~ has been all downhill since then it seems.

WOW bought him lunch! AND TWICE! You are my hero! What did it do set you back $10. Well now you can look in the mirror in the morning and tell yourself what a jim-dandy fella you are! What would we DO without you?!

I know its a stretch and will tax your busy schedule but how about directing him to a shelter?

These are the kind of men that we should do these small gestures for when we are so moved.

Take care of our own because the gynocentric state just takes from us to give to women who are the most ungrateful, lying, entitled living sacks of debris on the planet.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

He has many other people who come and visit him, sit with him, talk, and take him to lunch as well. He knows where the shelters are, not so sure any of them provide permanent residence, he prefers to live in his car. Your child-like ruthless sarcasm is cute though Pete, why don’t you run along and go shoot birds with a bb gun or doorbell ditch old ladies now.

    Damn it!

Actually all kidding aside I’m grateful you help out this guy, your heart is in the right place. If more people took that responsibility the world would be a better place.

I’ve also seen an increase in the homeless population in my area. There’s a truck stop i’ve gone to since i moved here. There used to only be the occasional sign holder on the corner. Now there’s at least 5 or 6 of them every night, even when it’s cold out. Of course most of them are men.

We live in a nation where single mothers are housed and given free grocery cards, while struggling men are given spare change and throwaways from the bakery.

    Damn it!

I don’t pride myself in starting s~~~ with people, I only take pride in having the courage to speak the truths I see no matter what, and I always have good intentions for all men, until they threaten me or others with violence, then I have nothing for them.

Alot of the reason dudes avoid the shelter, is cause there are low lifes there who will beat you up and steal your s~~~.

I have lived in my car. But I was young.

Well there is also the millionaire baseball pitcher who lives out of his van: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKPa3uVddbU

I also met a couple of guys from the east coast who went to work in the oil patch and they lived out of their truck. They made a s~~~ load of money and lived real cheap.

Pro Wrestler Rick McGraw lived on a Florida beach in the 70s, he made a lot of money and didn’t spend a cent of it on housing.

Real Estate is f~~~ing expensive whether renting or owning and I’ve noticed a small but growing number of guys are turning their backs on it.

Work hard, live lean and either retire early or use the money to pursue your dreams.

Since when is living in your car a bad thing? He is going his own way. I am sure if he didn’t want to, he would do something about it.

Its a bad thing if your doing it cause your broke. And hungry. And the car doesnt run. And you have no where to take a shower or go to the bathroom.

    This

Again, says who? Apparently he gets by and if he didn’t like it he would do something about it. He is going his own way. For some men that means living in squalor.

This man has shown kindness and generoisity.

What he has done is enabled the homeless man to continue in his ways. If he keeps getting free meals from people he will continue to live this way. And if it as seen as a problem from THX then he should not be an enabler to the problem.

as others have said, a homeless shelter. Poster said he has lived in car for 7 years!!! 7 YEARS!!! and he couldn’t do anything about it? You don’t think others have helped him or tried to help him? He probably has mental issues and needs to be put in a home.
