It is a fisheye lens.

It is used when you want a large field of view. I am not claiming to prove or disprove the “shape of the earth”.

That’s a s~~~ty camera, or at least a s~~~ty lens to tell the shape of the Earth. At some points the Earth looks horseshoe shaped. This video gives the flat earthers just what they want to try to prove their argument.

They obviously used a fish eyed lense for that filming. That’s why its s~~~ty footage. The earth goes from concave to convex and back and forth.

I haved talked to the ISS many times as an amateur radio operator. When listening to its signal, at the horizon it is very quiet. It gets stronger as it passes overhead and gets quieter as it gets closer to the eastern horizon.

The last thing you hear is new york stations before it drops out.

Cant do that unless it is orbiting a sphere.

To me, the Flat Earth theory is a nonsense. No sources I would trust to. I would rather believe in a kind of the Dyson Sphere. But it’s a crappy theory as well.

Christianity, pushed the Flat Earth theory. They burned libraries and books that were written by Pagan authors. The only reason we have anything left from the Ancients is because the Muslims preserved these works. The crusaders brought them back. Christianity, caused Europe to fall into an age of ignorance (The Dark Ages).

The Renaissance was a Pagan Revival, that proved Christianity wrong. That is why the Church arrested early scientists. They didn’t want their Flat Earth theory to be proven wrong.

WRONG.
Look at the sun rotating at 1:14 in your video.
It takes aprox. 14 seconds for a full turn, and 5 seconds to cross the field of view. That gives us a Field of View (FOV) of 360 x 5/14 =128 degrees.

A 50 mm lens (considered the closest to human perception) has a FOV of 39 degrees.

What you are using is the concave effect of a fisheye lens to “flatten up the earth”.

BTW, did you know you can correct the fisheye effect?

As I said, I am not here to prove or disprove the flat earth theory.

One thing is to have an open mind, another is to throw away thousand of years of scientific evolution and discus it like politics.

What you will need.
1. A flat surface
2. 1 pie tin
3. A column resting (several with various sizes) on the flat surface to provide a spin axis for the pie tin.
4. Fluid to simulate the oceans.
5. Soil constructed to simulate land masses. Place the land masses as you wish.

Step 1
Create your “planet” in the pie tin with soil and water.
Step 2
Place the “planet” on its spin/rotational axis
Step 3
Select several velocities to spin the pie tin with.
Step 4
Spin that f~~~ing pie tin and see what happens.

Test A
If you place land masses around the “outer area”
The land masses should not move, the entire water area should remain constant albeit with “waves”.
If the central focal spin point has less water, or is devoid of water the land masses will be flooded and pushed to the outer most edges of the pie tin. Experiment fails.

Test B
Central land masses directly over the focal spin point.
The land masses should not move, and water should not pool along wall of the pie tin. Either of these two things happen? Experiment fails.

Or you can just spin an uncovered cherry pie on your finger tip.

Pro tip…
A spinning spheroid will create its own gravity in its center, a spinning plate will just launch everything off of it because its gravity point is its edges.

I am sorry if I fail to give you the validation you desire for your theory.
It happens that my work depends on things THAT WORK, like these computers we are all using, that would be impossible with the change on the laws of physics you propose.

The flat earth we are on is stationary and motionless. The celestial bodies in the sky circle around us.

How so? I have an experiment for you. Go outside with an object say a tennis ball. Now throw it as high as you can straight above you. Now the ball will land where you were standing. If the earth was spinning at 1000 mph it would land a significant distance away from you.

Or you can prove the spinning globe theory by findind a ball and spinning it while bodies of water stick to it. Now that would be impressive, bet you can’t pull that experiment off
