I am not associated with the site and I don’t know who ‘Charlie Powell’ is or what he is doing. I just found this cool article and I want to share.

I have been involved with the pick up community for about 2 years and I quite because I didn’t get any results with all that stuff that the teach….

Now in regards to the article, I don’t think the PUA community died because of women or feminism. I think it died because guys understood that most of it is…. crap.

All those claims about how average guys can get laid with hot women by doing a few tricks.

Maybe if you practice that s~~~ enough, at some point some of it might work (and I say “might” because 2 years of practice got me nothing): but there is a price:
You need to go out a few nights a week, spend a lot of money on bars and clubs, get rejected a s~~~ load of times.
waste of money, energy and mental health in my opinion (after 2 years of trying it).

Thousands of Men have reported on different forums how they went to seminars, boot camps, bars and clubs: and got little-no results.
And those who managed to get a few lays: couldn’t get a long term relationship.

A lot of the PUA Gurus don’t get laid like they say and many of them get girls because of social status or looks (not because of game).

So I think the pick up scene ended because Men realized that most of it is a marketing scam to get money out of lonely men.

(the only good advise was: dress nicer, develop hobbies and don’t be needy: Nothing I didn’t already know….)

I was part of a local lair in my city for a few years about 10 years ago. We went out “sarging” as they called it to local bars. This was before the advent of app dating. The benefits of doing cold approaches is that it does indeed teach you how to interact with strangers and get more comfortable in your own skin.

The downside is that if you are not good looking you will be shot out of the water pretty dang quick. I was able to get phone numbers but very few converted to anything. The other downside of PUA was encountering Chads who got very jealous very quickly almost to the point of getting in a fight with you if you ended up hitting on his GF or love interest by accident.

Very terrible experience overall. Lots of noisy clubs, too much alcohol and extremely trashy women. Men like me (betas) don’t belong in places like that and no amount of confidence or a c~~~y/funny line are going to get you anywhere. I never witnessed any average dudes studying PUA get good with women EVER.

A mate of mine and also my son are two guys I know who have never had trouble getting women. They are alpha-type guys naturally (I am not).

With zero effort, they have hot women wanting to bang them all the time. No practice, no techniques, it is just on tap for them.

I asked my son once what his technique is, out of curiosity. He said he just sits down at the club and chills, and is naturally disinterested. Before long, he is sitting with a couple of hotties who approach him. He has too much choice, actually. It obviously works because he is very good looking, a bit of an asshole and has fun telling women to their face that they are stupid, should shut up and get back in the kitchen. They love it.

Yes definitely. Always use caution and safety, and understand how to do what you are doing. Just like any activity: when you drive, take a course. When you cook, learn how to not burn the apartment down. When you band prostitutes, learn all about it.
