But at least they are marking bikes like these.

Harley tried to get millennium kids to by bikes they cant afford or want.

That one one guy losing his job–family, three kids, nearly 60 years old; he is totally f~~~ed! His ass is BLEEDING!
Did they really think that companies who’s only purpose is to make money for their stock holders would give free money away to it’s workers?
No they did not.
I’m a Trump supporter on social issues. This was an economic issue and was a scam.
#icethemout; Remember Thomas Ball. He died for your children.
Yup. They took their tax break, closed a factory and built a new one overseas. Also, they have no innovation. Sad.
Yes it is but that is free market capitalism, and if people understood it better they would be in better shape to handle changes in the job market. I’m certain Harley NEVER promised anyone a permanent job or retirement for the rest of their lives.

Actually, this is almost dark comedy funny in that HD destroyed their market before they did this.
The writing has been on the wall that HD was losing their market for over a decade. But, HD had built such a reputation with borderline cult of personality from many of their customers that no one outside of HD would be listen to on the matter.
Spot on as usual Faust.
Absolutely right guys; I mean who has got 80K just sitting around with nothing to do but buy a HD; WHO WHO?
S~~~ looking bikes anyway.
Peace is > piece.
The last few years they have been rapidly plunging the toilet so it can flush faster. The beginning was around the 100th anniversary bash, when they decided Elton John would headline the party.
The management replaced the union workers with unskilled labor. The quality of their bikes tanked in the last 5 years. It’s still better than the AMF years…
They have millenials in charge of marketing, they ignored their core demographic, and they are trying to re-invent their image.
I am NOT a soy boy weekend flamer who rides just for saddle smile.
I live to ride, and ride to live. It’s freedom.
Yes, I ride Japanese bikes, but they are less expensive and the most reliable.
Until Harley can overcome it’s new progressive mindframe, it will keep spiraling down the s~~~ter.
Don't chase tail. Turn yours around, walk away, and live free!

If HD wants to survive, they need to go back to basics and offer what they did originally. That being medium to low end priced motorcycles with good, reliable engines that were cheap enough to modify (chop), but would not financially break a person if the motorcycle was destroyed in the modification attempt.

Well, those using logic tend to already be well armed.
On the matter of HD. They need to have the breakeven point be selling their motorcycles. For profit they need to trim their company of the fat at the top and cut deals with the professional choppers around the country to get a cut of the payments for the custom jobs in exchange for sending customers their way with HD motorcycles.
As a way to maintain quality, the upper management needs to be made to ride new HD motorcycles into work. If one cannot use the main product the company is making, than that person should not be working for that company.
The one with the diamond bike should be aptly called Harley Queen.
Harley’s market base in the states is Old White Guys, and I’m guessin more and more are hangin up their helmets annually.
Young Men aren’t interested anywhere near as much.
Harley is GROWING in Foreign markets.

“It has 360 diamonds throughout. It features a diamond ring — a diamond band encircling a 5.40-carat diamond — and watch on display under glass domes. And every screw is plated with rose gold.”

Looks pretty. I would not ride it though. Harley seems to have a lot of money to blow on electric vehicle research & development and Jewel studded Harleys.
What they should have been doing was research how to get millennial city men to ride on two wheels. How do you turn non-riders into riders? They don’t know how to shift, they don’t want to learn and they don’t want to look like Mad Max or Hell’s Angels
Answer: Harley should have developed THE best twist-n-go scooter the world has ever seen. So easy to ride a 10 year old girl can now ride a Harley Scooter, hits 60mph and gets 80mpg.
Millions of dollars of profit are made every year by entry level riders buying Chinese, Taiwanese and Japanese scooters that are FLOODED into the US border. Average price out the door, $3000+-. You mean to tell me, that Harley could not have flat out stolen all those sales?!
Americans would jump over themselves to buy an American scooter, there are no American scooter brands. My country is sooo stupid. They give fortunes to Asia for SUV’s, motorcycles and cars and you can’t blame the Asians when our own factories can’t smell the coffee and meet the consumer demand.
Instead the blow millions of s~~~ty electric vehicle bulls~~~. See picture below. Electric vehicles are homo, heavy, expensive, terrible range and major costs to replace batteries. Mark my words, Tesla and BS like this Harley are going DOWN.

That my usual rant. Sorry.
Scooters are great, easy to ride, low cost insurance, mega mileage, maneuverable and easy to park. If you want a scooter, get a Taiwanese one (SYM, Lance, Kymco, Genuine) Honda and Yamaha scooters are ugly and cost too much but they’re good too.
For Motorcycles, Japanese across the board. Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki and Suzuki. BMW is great too.

This scooter hits 65mph, get 80+ miles per gallon. You can fit about three or four cantaloupes under the seat, plus $200 worth of groceries in a gym bag placed on the floor board. Fuel Injected 169cc, front and rear disc brakes. Made by SYM established back in the 60’s. Taiwanese. 2 year warranty. Out the Door with tags, about $3,500. With regular maintenance, you could put 50,000 miles on this. Then just replace the engine head for $600 and do it again. Liability Insurance for a whole year is $100! Why the f~~~ to people still drive cars? Americans do not get it.
Motorcycles are great too. But not Harley, sorry. Harley had its era.
Perfect example of why a man should have his own business, working for himself.
F~~~ working for corporations all your life. These companies don’t give a s~~~ about their employees.
Money is God.
Oh yeah, and f~~~ Vespa….. Italian s~~~ is WAY overpriced
Divorce in 3…2…1…
This site was sold by its original owner in secret. There is new management that doesn't care about quality. The new site is much better https://theindependentman.org
Yup. They took their tax break, closed a factory and built a new one overseas. Also, they have no innovation. Sad.
Also there is a huge used harley market. And not everyone who buys new bikes wants a harley.
Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.
