You know nothing before you are born
You know nothing after you die

OK then why not spare yourself years and years of misery and suffering unnecessarily and just kill yourself. If the atheist are right then you lose nothing by killing yourself and GAIN by avoiding misery. But we don’t see atheists killing themselves Even that vegetable Steven Hawkins slowly decomposing into a drooling blob—why does he chose to “endure” when he can be “free”?

You always can recognize a fake atheist because they are still clinging to life no matter how much it sucks.

Religion doesn’t define what makes us human nor the purpose of our continuity. It’s the drive, will, ingenuity, conquest, discovery, and most of all wisdom that defines and shapes our existence. We persevere through all these things and it becomes ingrained in our genes from one generation to another. A high IQ individual like Hawkins doesn’t see the need to end his misery because he still wants to contribute to the field of science and mathematics and has done more for humanity than some imaginary god ever has or will. See where I’m going with this? We are solely responsible for shaping our destiny and to learn and grow as we live life.

For the most part religion was used throughout history to keep people in check and overtime it became a cultural custom. I believe it was the ancient Egyptians who first linked their Pharaoh to the gods so power can be maintained. it’s no different than Caesar claiming to be a son of the gods or the Pope claiming to represent god.

If the atheist are right you lose EVERYTHING by killing yourself. There is no heaven to gain by blowing yourself up or anything like that. Life is the only thing you have. Life and more abundantly. There are some, who live and are yet dead with eyes that cannot see. The journey is to become All The Way Alive. Seeing things as they really are.
