However, again according to the CDC , gonorrhea infects 0.2% of the population every year of which only half gets treated. That means that over 300,000 MORE people have gonorrhea and KEEP IT per year…

So… if the CDC says only 270k people get it, and we assume the same rate of error…

That means that 75% of the female population CURRENTLY has an STD.

Anyone else smell that?

I never understood this. In sex they always teach us to use a condom because we never know if a person is infected, but why should people be having sex with infected people? If someone knew the said person they were about to have sex with did in fact have an STD they would most likely refuse.

Often viruses can be spread even before people become symptomatic. You could be infected with HIV and even test negative yet still spread the virus. Often people do not know that they have an STD until they become symptomatic. In some situations you can carry a virus and never suffer symptoms but however you may spread it. Simply put next to no one has sex with someone they who is infected, in the vast majority of situations people lie or they don’t know.
