I think most people, when thinking about 1984, think of the movie, rather then the book. The movie paints such a dark world that it overshadows much of the point of 1984.

I do think 1984 got many things wrong, but many things right. Or perhaps, we live in sort of a ‘pre-1984’ world where we have big brother watching, yet we haven’t had our freedoms removed on such a scale as 1984 suggests yet…but we are headed that way.

Ok. Then do it.
