Your home is not yours. Many a man has retired with a feeling he can go to HIS home and enjoy some life and time in it, when retirement arrives. Only to discover that the home is not his place; his wife finds him intolerably in HER way. And either he is banned to the garage or basement, or he loses it all when she divorces him. Many are the comments from wives of the “retired man” that she “just cannot stand having him around and underfoot all the time”. So for all those years you made the house payments, kept it up to date, did some rehab and improvement on it, bought the furniture and all the stuff for the kitchen, and her car, it suddenly all goes away. Now maybe it is sold and the proceeds split and each goes their own way, living on half of pension income. She gets half you see. Maybe more. If you are in your 40s or early 50s, encourage her to get a job and establish an income stream. Get a divorce, and start to build a new life for yourself which you enjoy and like. This only of course, if your marriage is dead, and no love or affection or friendship; even worse if you are constantly the object of criticism and complaints and “bitchin”. Just don’t tolerate it. Slavery has been abolished and you are free to go. If you are happy, then good, stay. But don’t be surprised when you “come to your house” on retirement, and things turn sour as you are together with her 24/7.
your dna dictates your need to approach women.... their dna dictates what they do when you arrive
what a goddamn nightmare. My heart is torn for these retiring guys. They need to take cues from Hermit, an example of a guy who went thru that bullsheit and came out alive. Now he seems to pass his time happily and without the constraint of an airbox woman around preying on him.
man out
live alone
hide your money and dress down
ghost it all
pursue self
be the liberated version of youI figured it out way too late, but I can still make the best of the years I have left. Things are going great right now.
Was telling that exact thing to a co-worker at lunch today. I may be turning 50 next year, but I am free.
I figure I have 10 years where physically I can do most anything I want. Plus without the parasite living with me I have lots more money and energy to burn.
I am planning to make the most of it.
