You will fill your time with other things like reading books, taking long walks, playing video games, socializing in real life, MGTOW.com, etc.
True. I totally got rid of fakebook and I don’t miss it one bit.
Since then, I’ve been using the time I would have been wasting on there to either read books or sharpen my writing skills…which has been more beneficial.
My brother make you no follow sheeple o. Look them and Go Your Way.I deleted mine finally today. 11 years I had that account. It was good for what it was intended for at the time, but like all things, the masses destroy what was once a good thing. Polluting it with their bulls~~~. I spent the day backing up all my photos onto my hard drive.
How would you guys categorize LinkedIn?
Hardcore data mining app.
I think a lot of the younger guys are the one’s who probably do this more given you guys have grown up with these apps.
I can attest to this. When I was with my ex I was hooked on social media just like her but after the break-up I use it very moderately. Mainly instagram to post cool places I visit. Facebook is useful for me as I am in a lot of groups where I can sell things but I absolutely hate it because that’s where all the annoying chicks go to talk about their life story.
I noticed that when I have female orbiters, I tend to use social media more than when I am surrounded by males and on a mission.
With that being said, Social media can be a great tool in today’s society if used for marketing, communicating with family far away, business, etc…but it is mainly used to boost egos and narcissistic personalities.
I cancelled FB and Twitter at the same time I came to this website. They are just not compatible with going my own way for me. For one they are dominated by and censored for women, and I needed to drop all vestiges of my former life. Gone and forgotten.
Joining this thread kind of late but thought I’d throw my two cents in as this topic is relevant to my life right now.
I had been thinking of getting rid of social media for a while and for me the problem is Twitter and Instagram. I’m also in my early 20s and have spent most of my teenage years up until now using this s~~~.
About a month ago I decided to take a hiatus from social media as I honestly believe it negatively impacts my happiness at times. Spending hours and hours everyday scrolling through and taking in all this information and constantly seeing people argue on there about anything and everything at this point and it’s all just negative bulls~~~.
I haven’t permanently deleted my accounts but changed all the passwords and deleted the apps of my phone and maybe it is a placebo effect but I honestly feel noticeably happier.
One of the biggest things holding me back from doing this sooner is I rely on social media (particularly twitter) as a source to find out a lot of information. The news, what’s going on in the world etc etc. However, recently I’ve decided to just focus on myself a lot more
and improving my life and continuing to grow and get better in various areas. So I really don’t miss social media like I thought I would in terms of using it to find out what’s going on out there because my thing is I really don’t give a f~~~ what anyone else is doing I’m too focused on myself. The single biggest threat to your happiness is women and the only way to win is to not play the game

It will get even better with time. Proud of you, brother.
I haven’t had any Social Media accounts since 2009. Social Media is just another source of attention-seeking/drama/s~~~, which is why women love it so much. Who needs that crap?!
And, of course, like all information that is stored in a database that is accessible via the Internet, Social Media account data can be copied/hacked; so if you value your data/identity/information, DO NOT have any Social Media accounts or other on-line accounts (unless you have to)… This is just basic stuff, really.
