Obviously, you don’t understand science or martial arts. A scientist must follow the scientific method, or else he’s not a scientist. So by your logic, he’s not a MGTOW. As a martial artist, I had vows I had to follow, therefore I couldn’t be a MGTOW. Darth Vader served the Sith – not a MGTOW. This is stupid. Of course a Christian can be a MGTOW and many of them are and were.
Plus, both @richardhutnik and @CrazyCanuck are, judging by their post, both Christian MGTOW. Or are you saying they’re not really MGTOW?

Consider what I am doing as the intersection of MGTOW and Christianity, a subset of both. One can go MGTOW, but the end goal isn’t for them to do whatever they want, but some other end, so they choose to discipline themselves by something else. This fits a version of MGTOW, but won’t fit all versions of MGTOW, in the same way this intersection won’t fit all ways to do Christianity.
Take, for example 1 Corinthians 6:12…
All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.
There, I can say all things are permitted/lawful, but not all things are profitable or lead to freedom. That is a subset of MGTOW and Christianity. It is not a libertine version of MGTOW, as some would want, but it isn’t also the bound in marriage version of Christianity. That is its own thing. And I would expect anyone who is interested in both, to follow what I am doing, and join the conversation. If it isn’t for you, that is fine, it isn’t for you.

By Christian belief, God has beamed messages directly to people, in the form of the Bible.
In actuality, the bible was built in pieces over thousands of years, thinned down by a court of the ignorant ruling class, who used it exclusively for power, moral authority and political gain. After jesus died, all of his apostles began to yammer their big mouths to everyone who could hear it, each trying to be their own jesus. And there wasn’t anything wrong with that, as jesus himself says in one of the books that survived, “you who believe in me shall do greater acts than these”. He wanted to start a movement, not be some kind of messiah. I guess he didn’t know how eager people were to mythologize him. Most of his life pops up in written form within the first 100 years after his death. But the events leading up to his crucification and after his death, and especially the events of his child take a few hundred years more and vary on different accounts. You have to remember that most of these books were originally oral traditions, or describing things as vaguely as possible with the word “lord” which could have meant any god at the time, because in rome at the time owning christian literature was illegal. And many of the books that are a part of early christian doctorine are left out during the council of nicea and council of chalcedon, the council whos name i forget set up by king clovis, etc… There have been so many revisions and councils over the centuries deciding what is and what isn’t canon, it begins to look a bit like the DC multiverse going full on infinite crisis, only like, over and over and over and being translated poorly along the way. Some of the stories left out are pretty f~~~ing crazy, like the infancy gospel of thomas which says Jesus straight up tamed dragons as a newborn, gave life to clay objects, and basically killed a bunch of kids and turned their parents blind when they complained. Or the gnostic gospels, which explain that the god jesus talked about was completely different than the blundering, malevolent demiurge talked about in the old testament who created the universe, and that the physical world is full of suffering because of his one big f~~~up. Some versions go on to describe a complex system of spiritual bodies called “Aeons”, borrowing from a bit of greek philosophy, which starts to sound a hell of a lot like string theory and parallel universes. And while people used to think these books came after the bible when some new evidence from the dead sea scrolls and the library of Hammurabi suggests that they may even predate some of the books of the current bible, and have been around since the dawn of christianity. Most of the disagreements that led to the christian church are just which apostle to listen to, cause they all theologically contradict each other. Not to mention the book of revelation, which is full of cheap shots and veiled threats and was written angrily by john after being exiled to an island by the roman empire. Its the biblical equivalent of an angry yelp review. The number of the beast even translates to 616 or 666, which both correspond to the greek and latin equivalents of the word “nero”, suggesting the early christians knew John was talking about nero when he wrote it, enough to translate it differently with the extra letter that comes with the greek translation. It was all very tongue in cheek, because it wasn’t like he could just up and say it or they would send dudes with swords to the island to stab him. So he had vagueness to his defense, oh, you want to kill me? Over what? A number that happens to correspond with your name? I think you’re reaching too hard, buddy.

to be fair, one of the tenants of the christian faith is that you accept that jesus was the only son of god. but jesus himself said we are all children of god, and when asked if he thinks he is, he says, “you have said this” as if to say, i don’t give credence to rumors. But you will find at every turn the “christian faith” teaches contrary to the teachings of christ, instead of loving thy neighbor, they kill thy neighbor or annoy thy neighbor with pamphlets and tell them that they’re going to hell if they don’t conform. Instead of being like children, they teach their children to be like them, indoctrinating them with all the reasons they should be ashamed of their childlike urges. Rather than practice the compassion jesus teaches, they impose it on others as a pretentious commandment, using his death as a means to void them of responsibility, rather than as a warning sign for the kinds of vicious, fearful and cowardly traits, and the nature of man to kill the one person who’s actually trying to save your soul. Its pretty f~~~ing obvious in 2 f~~~ing Millenia christians haven’t learned a goddamn thing. He died BECAUSE of your sins, not for them. But you can’t ever stop the dumbass brigade of deluding themselves into believing anything they want to believe, no matter how ludicrous or backwards it may be.

Pardon myself for asking this immensely blunt question, but: Who are you to judge what is or is not a Christian? I will phrase it that way, because the other of saying what is or is not a MGTOW you may be more appropriate to define. Of course, when you do this, you have then become a gatekeeper of the nature of MGTOW, based on what this site says. It becomes an overarching filter, rather than a guide. And it would then require a purity test on here to actually decide who is or isn’t, and likely should ask a person (I would say men, but it is possible you get women on here or Jenners) who then need to answer whether or not the like quiche.
If there is going to end up being a schism, and Christians get booted off here, and out of MGTOW, there will be a need for them to go elsewhere, and I hope what I can do can help. Well, at least help themselves.
By the way, this is what I see is on the first page, and I don’t see where such excludes someone serving Christ, unless one wants to bring in the political religious bull I have seen:

Personally i don’t see how saying “one of you will betray me” implies some kind of future sight. You spend enough time with people, you get to know which ones are the shady motherf~~~ers, and occams razor says its more likely judas was just giving him the stink eye all night enough to tip him off.

Monastics, the desert fathers, and so on, throughout history, saw this of the world, and the normal pattern and left because of it. They had to go their own way, because the social conventions didn’t work. One expression for things as they always are in the New Testament texts is “marrying and given in marriage”. Anyhow, I am thinking I may need to get up another forum for people to hash this out, or maybe another thread on here. This thread about my announcing my YouTube channel, and stating I am posting more has turned into a religious debate. This is great, but really not fitting there. I think Christians should define if they are Christian, and how MGTOW fits, not outsiders of the Christian faith personally. And MGTOW is just a label anyhow, that should serve men, not enslave them. I am up for anything else, if need be, but I find MGTOW works personally as a label, even if others would not agree, like Sandman, for example.
I am seeing a divide here, that can work to enrich, in that MGTOW means sovereignty vs it means avoiding women to some degree. Can this conversation liberate, rather than enslave? I keep seeing the risk of “real men don’t each quiche” coming out there. MGTOW can eat quiche or watch My Little Ponies if they like, or whatever. And they can choose to learn from someone who knows more than them. A Master in an ancient sense is someone a student/disciple learns from.

Taking from the donation bag and complaining how resources were not spent on the poor is a bit of a tipoff there. Anyhow, that is a great thing to discuss. I just don’t see it as suitable really for this site, and particularly this announcement threat. There is a LOT to discuss, but I think we need elsewhere for this.

If one looks at the most basic definition of MGTOW, it means not marrying women. That is the context it is spoken of, men who decide not to marry. That is the basics. The advance stuff is what one does when they don’t marry, and that is another thing. It is in this later thing there is going to be a ton of debate over and men arguing and likely a schism happening. I can keep showing scripture that argues for MGTOW for Christians, in the being single, and nor conforming to the world. I can also argue here that freedom, for someone free, is not an end in itself. Life prevents one from going their own way all the time. There is good reasons for this happening and one adjusts to it.
Let me give you a comparison. You agree to sign up to work for someone, say a customer, or something, and you agree to do things, and you don’t do it. Is that a sign of personal liberation or negligence? Jonah was supposed to deliver a message to a city so they would repent. He didn’t want to go, because he knew they would repent. That was his job he signed up for, and he wouldn’t do it.
But, do I have that sort of direct command on me? No, I don’t. What I have more akin to it in my life is the parable of the talents, where I am not told what I need to do, but have to be free to be wise, and I can’t back off.
Let’s just say what I have an interest in doesn’t fit what you have an interest in, and unless that is your view of the Christian religion, in which case by logic, you wouldn’t be MGTOW and wouldn’t be here, we have a disagreement that I see is an incomplete understanding but you feel is complete. But, you are free to go your own way, which isn’t this way here apparently, and your making demands on myself and others to do things, isn’t in keeping with my going my own way, it is in keeping with trying to placate you. I am sorry, but I don’t try to placate men I feel are mistaken, unless I have some sort of obligation to them. In your case, I don’t, so I will just saying are incorrect here, no matter what you say. Look, you’re going to submit to one philosophy or another. Christianity is one. If you feel that submitting to that means you’re not MGTOW, then you also cannot submit to atheism because when you’re following modernity, the idea that you can’t make a truth statement without completely validating it, then you’re also submitting and not going your own way.
In the end, a man must learn to submit to the truth or live in some level of insanity.

My interest is in trying to help other men in the boat I am, byproducts of this increasingly globalistic world that is leaving them without identities, and if trying to follow Christ, find out what they heck their life calling ins, in a way that works. It goes beyond MGTOW, but is compatible with it. Then entire system is broke. It is a Go My Own Way approach, because it isn’t a crusade, just something to help make things better on a personal level, not MRA stuff where you want to change the world. I am done with that. As of now, it is a matter of doing useful. I believe we are at a crossroad that new ways have to be found, or we are going to be into a big hurt, and go very dystopian. So, I would say, if what I say doesn’t fit you personally, then reject it. If it is wrong about reality, feel free to correct me. If it is in a metaphysical realm and up for debate, and endless debate, just go your own way.
Prior to MGTOW stuff, I was trying to do something I was calling Metaism, which called for harmonizing of intentions between people, in this age. I see that as part of this, and needing to coexist with people, and hopefully harmonize for mutual gain. The other way is a state of war, I don’t have time for. If you can’t go my way, that is fine. If you can, great.
Western society is reaping a whirlwind of the liberal tradition now, and it will have to deal with it, and people manage. I now just need to look after myself at least, like get a job and so on. I am buried under student loan debt, and so on. I press on though. I hope others can find their own way. And I am sure I will make more mistakes though. It comes with the territory. I am now, do it wrong, but make it work.
