    Think of it this way.
    Their buying mortgages.

In 5 years, there will be a huge influx of foreclosures or women (specifically) seeking relief from their huge mortgage debt.

The “news” will report it as a mortgage crisis for women, so Uncle Sam will be compelled to rescue them, somehow.

We already know who is going to have to actually pay off their houses, whether we’re screwing them or not.

On the dating sites, women use “I have my own house” as a marketing feature. The c~~~s are so desperate for babies, they ate even buying the nests now.

    Sovereignty above all else.

One other aspect of this is risk. There’s a very high probability we’re in a housing bubble. If interest rates rise, prices generally drop or stagnate.

I have a couple coworkers waiting for this very thing. Higher rates won’t hurt you if you pay in cash. You simply win by getting a lower purchase price.

If this happens most of these women will be underwater in a couple years.

If inflation rises with the interest and wages don’t keep up… it’s Armageddon for the housing market.

Basically a $400,000 house at 3.5% is still a $400,000 house. If rates go up to 7 or 8% nobody can afford to buy it for what you did. She’ll be STUCK in that house or default.

Here in Australia, 40 mins away from the city….average house prices $1.5M AUD.

A tranquil mind is neither happy nor sad, it is uninfluenced by external conditions.

    No you wouldn’t.

    Trust me on that.

There’s a reason they’re going that “cheap” back there. And it isn’t because they’re a good investment.

The DAY I let Nigel Butterworths Crackhead the 4th f~~~ with me is the day I start a Organ donor clinic. Purley Voluntary of course. There is a reason Chinese companies are buying up large lots of land.

I’d be just as happy living in a $3,500 HOUSE. as this one bellow.

All you gotta do is Ahem/. “Encourage” the right people to move out.

No one is going to miss some s~~~y drug addicts or dealers. This may be a surprise to you, but there is a reason why the chinese moved in. They are no stranger to dealing with s~~~ holes. They are buying up Africa after all.

And if you think that you Pink skins had it bad with these folks. Try being me growing up. I know just how to handle these f~~~s. And anything is better than dealing with the police.

I’ll take my chances with BBQ Ribs then f~~~ around with a Corrupt cop and the courts.

Its not a good place to raise a family, have kids etc. But its perfect for a guy that like to keep to himself. ELectric fence up his land, and start a business.

We all talk about the end. But no one is willing to put their money where their mouth is.

    Lol
Let’s see…never ending payments to the bank. Never ending payments to the govt. A crap shack, that constantly needs maintenance and cash injections. Zero freedom of movement as I’m now tied down to a place.
    Sounds good

To each his own and house ownership is not for everyone. However, if you like living in the country houses are cheap. I bought a really nice house that suits me for $70,000. My Principal Interest and taxes is $192/bi-weekly. Its much cheaper than rent where I live rent is at least $700 a month.

Just wanted to add, in regards to home ownership being a sign of success in regards to genders, it does have some merit, but I think it also skewed by other factors.

Primarily, when it comes to kids. There are a lot more single mothers than single fathers in terms of who has primary care. That means that children will be going to school near the mother’s residence. Generally, you won’t want to move the kid around and it will be perceived to better living in a house over a apartment or condo…at least in the areas where I have lived. As well child support payments can be used to approve a loan. Therefore, single women would be more likely to own a home because they generally ‘own’ children.

I’d also argue that a man that intends to get married is more likely to avoid home ownership. It’s a sign of status that could be perceived well by a woman, but it also is a sign that the man is more ‘set’. By that I mean that he is more likely to be aware that he doesn’t need a woman and can take care of himself. He also isn’t as likely to move wherever she wants to life. He’s just not as moldable. I’d say men are aware of this on some level, so tend to avoid things that it make it difficult for him to fit into her life. Women probably do this as well to an extent, but could also use the fact that she’s already established herself in a house as a way of enforce her will on potential mates.

    Ok. Then do it.

Meh, let them buy right now when the market is high. Then when it collapses in 5-10 years, it will be a buyer’s market again. Then, it’s my time to buy.

After the purchase and sale of my first house, I lived for around $15,000 for the 5 years I owned the home. Bought low, sold high.

So why refer to them as winning when clearly they aren’t?

Because they’re “winning” according to the metrics of the government whose policies are providing them with all that assistance. The government is stupid enough to think it’s helping, just like it “helped” all those morons “qualify” for home loans they couldn’t service.

Sky-O pointed to a huge change in the real estate market and correctly explained as the result of decades of government favoritism. That’s what his original post was about, that’s what my posts were about. Whether that favoritism is actually leading women into a trap is besides the point.

You and I have been “posting past each other” in that we’re not discussing the same thing.

Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.

@oldbill: I think you hit the wrong quote button.

Naw. You’re missing the point. It’s not the people on the streets, but the people in the Seats. The local wildlife is not the problem. I mean it can be a problem, sure enough, if you aren’t prepared for it, but it’s not THE problem. It’s the hundreds of thousands in back taxes and assessed fines and fees against the property that they aren’t telling you about that become your problem the moment your name is on the title.

See you may be getting that property for only a few dollars, but the Good Citizens of Wayne County still firmly believe it’s worth a whole lot more. And that they deserve a cut. And you aren’t going to convince them otherwise. So when can those Good Citizens expect your check?

This may be a surprise to you, but there is a reason why the chinese moved in.

They may be engaging in a little speculative real estate investment, but they aren’t exactly moving in.

    I did, brother. My apologies.

I was going to post a double quote, changed my mind, and didn’t remember to fix the formatting.

    Again, my apologies.

No apologies necessary. I knew I didn’t say that. I posted the correction so others would know and not get lost in the middle of the thread.

As to the subject matter at hand, specifically women “winning” or not, I’ll merely say this:

Have you ever noticed how all major “victories” for women are entirely pyrrhic and their accomplishments are utterly potemkin?
